Hi everyone! When I do these type of comparisons, I record or take photos of the same scene for both devices. You may have noticed the iPhone 13 Pro Max didn't have scenes and pics the Xperia PRO-I had. When I went to transfer the files from the iPhone to my computer, I couldn't open up some of the mov or HEIC files. But others I could. I did try transferring files numerous times and it always ended up with some not being able to be opened. I'm not sure why this happens but perhaps some of you have a lot of experience working with Apple files can explain what's going on. I have several more comparison videos coming up with the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also the mov to mp4 files from the iPhone take up a lot of storage space. It was around 55GBs while the Xperia PRO-I mp4 files was about 20GBS. And I recorded more videos with it.
I love this type of content. The scenic value is amazing and both devices captured beautifully but catered to its targeted audience but i love the natural look Xperia offers.
Thank you and I'm really glad you found the video great! Sony's strength is producing natural, accurate representations of the scene youre recording from their smartphones and digital cameras. Also with the Xperia PRO-I's video files, there's more room for color corrections compared to the iPhone 13PRO Max in case you want to make adjustments in editing.
Thank you! The iPhone 13 ProMax is a great smartphone for most people. The one I was using was a year old and it still looked and felt brand new in my hand. It's like it never aged! I wish I could say that about my Note 20 Ultra! The Xperia PRO-I and iPhone have their own unique purposes and I dislike it when reviewers compare them against each other for the sake of getting more views or to start controversy. After using both devices side by side for almost a month now, it's easy to tell what their intended purposes and whom they are for.
Yes, definitely something I saw in the majority of pics and vids from the iPhone. It was too realistic and the entire scene was sharpened. But Apple knows what their customers want and probably felt being able to see everything clearly was important. I remember seeing some sources mention that Apple doesn't want the customer complaining and possibly filing a lawsuit if their pictures and vids didn't come out good every time. I'm not sure if that's true tho. But possibly why everything is more boosted on the iPhone compared to the Xperia PRO-I. Was there anything on the iPhone you like better than the Xperia PRO-I?
Xperia phones don't tend to push hdr so often, it rarely uses hdr, especially for video, on standard it doesn't use hdr, it has to be manually turned on to be able to use it but yes the hdr is still stronger on iphone
I think I'll stick with the Xperia PRO-I for a bit longer. I didn't see a significant improvement in the picture and video quality for the Sony Xperia 1 V to change to it. Also it has two apertures which I have found to be useful when making videos in manual mode which the Xperia 1V lacks.
The processor makes all the different. You experience will not be the same for user experience. Also , the new vertical menu for photo pro also makes it easier. @@thefitlifechannel2021
A big part of video recording is quality sound recording too. I intentionally used both of their microphones so everyone can hear how they compare to each other. It was a bit risky for this video because of how windy it was and I didn't know how it would come out. But they both did a decent job! It was very windy!
@@thefitlifechannel2021 after you test give an feedback some people are saying that is good one, but i don't have an iphone for test myself, nice day t y.
When I compare the Xperia PRO-I and iPhone 13 Pro Max displays next to each other, pics and vids from the iPhone look more saturated, lots of contrast and sharpened. I also saw this with the iPhone 14. think its main camera is the same as the iPhone 13 Pro Max. What I saw with the Xperia PRO-I, what you saw when recording or taking pics looked the same when transferred to my computer and viewed on a large monitor. It wasn't the same for the iPhone.

Everything is over sharpen on iphone 13. Have both devices for 2 years now, and my go-to phone is the xperia.

Awsome work sir. Preferred Xperia footage for all aspect but hdr.
Thank you for your kind words! I'll figure out how I can edit HDR videos from the iPhone so I can do a comparison with it against the Xperia PRO-I.

i like what Xperia can offers ❤
The Xperia PRO-I does well as a compact camera with a large display for those who are enthusiasts or content creators of photography and videography!
I know this is a video comparison but the pro i mics are amazing.

IPhone over Sharp
Yes that's what stood out to me the most about it.
No way. Iphone colors are very off...their images are sharpened too much as well!
