I just can't believe that a lot people don't clean their phones/ earbuds. I produce a lot of ear wax and I'm self conscious about so I'm constantly cleaning my earbuds

I do the same. Luckily I own the AirPods Pro (the ones with the rubber tips) and I clean them once a while

Usually they're pretty clean inside, unless they were used with badly cracked screen for a long period of time

got nostalgic seeing that old charger in the beginning. But I'm kinda surprised, some of these phones are brand new how tf do people get a brand new phone THAT dirty. Had mine for nearly 2 years and it used to beling to my dad for another 2 years and my phone has never been anywhere near this dirty

You shouldnt use that metal picker, it can damage a component of the board because you can short the connections inside of the charging port. Recommending wooden toothpick.

One thing I noticed when washing the ear buds was that you didn't wipe all the crud off after washing it and when you blew the air, the stuff went right back into the hole
I use vacuum there, so all the stuff goes out

Old iPhone got abit linty so I had to clean it out. But I noticed if you put your phone top down, it reduces if not negated any major lint problems. At least I haven’t had any on my new iPhone for 2-3 years now

Never, but they can be damaged while cleaning. I had to replace quite a few charging ports damaged in DIY cleaning situations.

This is how i found out tmobile sold me a iphone a few years back as brand new but it was used my charger wasnt working rite or fitting so i finally look inside the port full of gunk got my money back and switched carriers

My earbuds get cleaned every day and deep cleaned every week with alcohol and still i get grossed out if i find dirty been using my phone for 4 years never has any port stopped functioning/clogged like dis absolutely disgusting yet satisfying 😂

How could anyone prevent it? If you use your phone a lot, you can't stop dust or dead skin get into the holes

Fun fact: don't useany metal items to clean your charging ports. This includes metallic tweezers so you don't short anything. Use thin plastic sticks or a wooden stick

It’s isopropyl alcohol.It’s meant to be used on electronics because it evaporates extremely quickly.Don’t worry it will not damage anything
