It was fun to watch this and then realize where he was. He was on 96 at one point between New Hudson and Brighton. Recognized the exit. Nothing like a little drive in Pure Michigan!
I've always appreciated them taking the true approach to producing power, by blueprinting and upgrading the internals of an Engine, rather *Just* slapping a supercharger on the factory engine. Yes, you can get Supercharged engines by Lingenfelter, but their practice of upgrading the core of the engine is much appreciated. Hooray Naturally Aspirated Power! - That the new Z06 does not have
Best video I've seen of someone driving the Stingray. Love how the engine hums, revs, and roars!!! My favorite toys are the Ferrari F12 and the Stingray. Great video guys!!!
I am European so it is supposed to have different taste for cars and to like more sophisticated one... BUT THIS IS THE REAL MAN CAR!!! The hairy chested one!!! Not the mertosexyal PDK shit one who is afraid to grab the gearstick because it can ruin his thousand bucks manicure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** Not gay, may be a bit girlish ;) The emotions usually comes with imperfections. The last generation Porsche Boxter is nearly perfect and too easy, but "fighting" with a car that oversteer too much could be much more trilling experience and keep you alive and focused. More important keeps you more satisfied - when at the end of the day park your car with clear thought that even an "animal" you and your skills beat that car and "conquer it"! This is what made driving so exciting not the size of the navigation display, the quality of the leather upholstery or the "intelligence" of the software in your car... RIGHT?!
Awesome car...I have never wanted ANY VETTE until NOW! The new Stingray especially this Lingenfelter version is truly on the next level for American sports cars. Great quality as always. Thanks for this upload
derbigpr500 You don't know what i'm talking about really ? Are you kidding me ? Ferrari won't make stick anymore, only annoying paddle shift gearbox. You want a GT3 ? Yeah PDK comes with the car... Even the little sport cars as the new Renault Clio RS comes with paddle... Same with the new Alfa 4C and it's go on and on... I'm a semi-pro racecar driver and on open roads or even on the track there is nothing more boring than paddle shift. Heel Toe is what make you feel the car. It's my point of view and i'm not the only one, fun comes with a stick, a Steering wheel and a good chassis that's all. Not with horsepower or whatever they want to sell us now.
SeverdSeouL For real i remember back when manual was in its prime before paddle shifters came, i loved driving my uncles F430 with a manual but when he replaced it with an AUTO M5 i was very disappointed
WOW, free reving, great sound and torque, what more can you ask for. You have to appreciate how far the small block has come. Pushrods, cam in block and it still revs like crazy. Lingenfelter took a fantastic car and tweaked it for the better. I want one. :-)
LPE is without a doubt one of the very finest performance engineering firms in the United States in regard to Corvettes. Their kits are tried and true, they deliver all they say they will and are reliable.
Looks an incredible improvement for the exterior as the interiors, very modern muscle car it's still a kickass V8 then Lingenfelter's added some cool mods NOW you should race!
Its hard to believe, I used to work in detail at my local Chevrolet dealership and every so often we would do something called a dealer Trade meaning if a Customer wanted to purchase a Corvette BUT we didn't have one in Stock with the options they wanted, so my general manager would call around to other dealerships asking if they might have one in their stock with the options that the customer wants and if they do, then we would do one of two things, buy the car outright from them or trade one of ours that pretty much matches the price of theirs, If we bought the car outright, then we would take one of our used vehicles off our lot, two detail workers would drive to the dealership in it, pay the dealership for the car, then we would fight over who gets to drive the New Corvette home and who gets to drive the used vehicle back..LOL. Now if we traded Corvette for Corvette, then just one worker would go, driving our Corvette to their dealership, then dropping that one off and picking up the Customer's and driving that one back, I actually did that a number of times many years ago, and actually had the opertunity to drive a Bran new Corvette about 200 miles from their dealership back to ours, Talk about a dream come true......
As long as Lingenfelter has been around they should be building 1000hp street cars more often, there are shops that aren't even as well known building daily drivers that are 1000hp lingenfelter needs to step their game up.
I criticize pushrods constantly but the new GM powerplants like this LT1 is really making me want this as my next car. The throttle response is just satisfying and a bit more.
you criticize them why? because they're smaller, lighter, cheaper, more efficient, more powerful, and more reliable than anything remotely close to it?
Actually take reliable out of the equation. I like the torque when it can breath, too much power loss when hot compared to any other car I ever had or drove. Light weight is a huge plus, size is again a huge positive for these motors but don't get too caught up on the more powerful thing either, like I stated on another post, I heard that Chevy claimed the LS7 was maxed out at just over 500hp. For 7 liters that is a disgrace. We have to mod out LS motors to make them reliable. Check out the huge valve guide issues LS7 owners are having.
Camm GTR are you fucking kidding me? LS engines are know mostly for their reliability....its why everyone with a japanese/euro car swaps their engine for one....there are ls cars with 300k miles pushing 1000+ hp with no problems at all. ls7's can get 700+rwhp easily on stock internals....you obviously don't know your stuff
Dylan Sumski I own a car with an LS3 second one, am on the forums constantly and LS7s are very unreliable. What car do you own and you have to be in touch with shops, owners and people who track their cars like I do to know the real truth. It's different when you are outside of the LS world but once you enter it you see the difference, scary. Also I am also about to replace my engine for a know common weakness so what are you getting off at. LS7s are recommended you don't mod them unless you upgrade the heads because of valve guide issues that aftermarket takes care of. Dude please this is the internet please educate yourself about these powerplants. Older GM small block Pushords are the more reliable ones, these LS motors unless modded for durability are a different story. Call LPE, Livernois and other big shops about this and listen to them laugh at you with that LS7 reliable at 700whp in stock form crap. LS motors like what I am replacing my stock LS3 is cheap power at like $7000 for a longblock but ask the experts like I have and they will tell you like they did me, even these LS3s aren't going to last long with even 600whp. Even Livernois has a forged built shortblock rated at 600 whp so does ERL. Dude seriously stop assuming and get the facts.
This car would cause me to become physically fit! It wouldn't take more than a year, before i'd loose my driver's license, and have to walk everywhere. I'm not smart enough to own this car. If you told me that it has 550 hp, then I would have to test it. This car is a set-up, for my failure!
60 mph on the speedo is at like 8 o' clock. LOL And it only takes a couple of seconds to get there. This car belongs somewhere where's there no speed limits. Awesome.
My Uncle Brian has a 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingway. I never heard anything aggressive than that sound of that hot rod. It sounds like it stings like a beamer.
Way to refined to be much fun. I would much rather have a midyear (1963-1967) big block. No electronics, no EFI, safety bumpers, ABS, traction control or a dash full of gadgets. REAL driving in it's purest form.
They do make paddle shifters for the new sting ray. The reason they made the new stingray is probably because stick is cheaper with the other additional costs. It's still an amazing car and personally I like it better than the koenigsegg 1to1 because the sting ray is priced at 45,000$ compared to millions of dollars. Chevrolet did the impossible with this car which in this case would make it my #1 favorite car
Wesam kachouri I'm an American and my dad is dead. Lost him at a young age. also, I've started a business, and currently saving up cash to buy one. Kiss my ass, you disrespectful kid.
Dont know if/when you'll see this, but heres REALLY hoping that you will be able to get your hands on of one of those NEW 2020 Mid engine Corvettes and be able to do a full review ion it just like you do here with aall of the rest of the vehicles....
Roadkill drove this corvette ragid. I'm surprised the guys over at lingenfelter didn't go full on mad at them for ragging the crap out of this fine tuned automobile. Hey ho not everyone is a fan of finnegans driving style but I am a fan for sure = drive it like you stole it ahaha
((Lingenfelter hydraulic roller camshaft by Competition Cams)) Wont this hinder the daily drivablity of the car & cause issues like rough idling etc...?
Electric E BRAKES on these new cars make me nervous because I don't know if it properly engages. What if it fails and I don't realize it tell the cars is rolling down the street.
How was the exhaust drone on the highway? Sometimes aftermarket exhaust can be pretty awful at low revs. Also, was that OEM rev-matching or were you doing it yourself?
I have always wanted to ask this, but when you turn off the engine, why is it that the RPM gauge part of the cluster stays lit until you open the door???
Not usually a fan of Corvettes but damn... That sound.
Same I’m also not a huge fan of that
god damn, American cars have become amazing. With this, the new Mustang, the Focus ST, I could totally see myself owning them if I could
I'm sitting doing work and listening to the amazing car like its white noise... I love you Corvette!
That auto rev match feature is cool, I'll admit I suck at rev matching and would totally use that lol
It was fun to watch this and then realize where he was. He was on 96 at one point between New Hudson and Brighton. Recognized the exit. Nothing like a little drive in Pure Michigan!

Americans should feel proud.
Pure sport car. Can't' find any decent sport car with a stick now. A proper car has a stick !
derbigpr500 You don't know what i'm talking about really ? Are you kidding me ? Ferrari won't make stick anymore, only annoying paddle shift gearbox. You want a GT3 ? Yeah PDK comes with the car... I 100% agree with you, also cars nowadays are so fast that shifting faster isnt a priority
Shigix Agree. Paddle shifting is lame bullshit. Give me a REAL manual, one that takes skill and is fun to drive.
SeverdSeouL For real i remember back when manual was in its prime before paddle shifters came, i loved driving my uncles F430 with a manual but when he replaced it with an AUTO M5 i was very disappointed

All I want for Christmas is a Lingenfelter 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray
WOW, free reving, great sound and torque, what more can you ask for. You have to appreciate how far the small block has come. Pushrods, cam in block and it still revs like crazy. Lingenfelter took a fantastic car and tweaked it for the better. I want one. :-)
I like Ford but the corvette is just a masterpiece
Awesome sound
LPE is without a doubt one of the very finest performance engineering firms in the United States in regard to Corvettes. Their kits are tried and true, they deliver all they say they will and are reliable.
thank you SO much for this video! there's no talking no music just pure experience and the sweet sounds of the exhaust :)
Smart to keep the dash gauge to hide the MPH with this beast! 😏. I'm planning on sending my C7 to Lingenfelter for this same package!
back testing on normal roads, awesome!
you really need to lower the gain on the microphone man.
Corvettes def have the greatest sounding exhaust
Love everything about Ligenfelter they build the most amazing machines!!!!
Did anyone else just want him to go go go?
This car is the goat for this one
this car is worth every single damn penny
Awesome video! Really enjoyed the experience of driving a Corvette virtually.
Yep, definitely going on my "to buy" list.
OMG .. This is so fucking awesome ..
Keep going .. 😊
the downshift oh god, i just can't get enough of it !!!!!!
The roar just makes u wanna buy it so badly :)
Good on you for not talking and just letting us hear the sound of the motor.
right
The Turning response looks really good.
Looks an incredible improvement for the exterior as the interiors, very modern muscle car it's still a kickass V8 then Lingenfelter's added some cool mods NOW you should race!
Kudos to you for being a beast and polite driver at the same time! The stingray is amaze balls :D
Love the sound of that engine
Ive been anticipating this video for a while great video my friend
I had a nice ride, thanx WR
Looks fun as hell to drive
Ahaha cool seeing you drive down good ol' Grand River and I-96

4:20 Nice to have a truck to compare the acceleration to.

THT trucker @ 4:20 must been like " do a pull do a pull DO A PULL!!!!"
Man, that sounds healthy!

This thing was terrifyingly fast for 2014
I love American cars they're fantastically luxurious and fast and soo amazing
Mustang is my favourite corvette is my second favourite

great video dude, just was I was looking for
Beautiful car!!!! Awesome video!!! congratulations!!!
what a torque at the low revs !!
At first i was like wow that car is worth the 55k, buttt thwn i realized it has a ton of upgrades!
First few seconds of video=I have to wash pants
god that sound is just fucking awesome

1:55 is what y'all are looking for. Still watching. I'll add more as I go
great videos! hello from Brazil!
i don't really like american cars, but this thing sounds amazeballs.
That engine rev... Made me moist.
I have no idea how he's staying quiet. Guess he already got it out of his system. I'm watching this video yelling "holy fuck!" to myself lol
Lol I love the *check for no cops* look at 3:27
sounds like hellfire love it
Sound really great

Amazing engine, wimpy parking brake! Great video though, thank you for posting.
My dream , perfect muscle car ..
Lol who cares about the interior, if you buy a Corvette you won't care with that V8 roaring
Yep!
I would care. But I think it is a nice interior
God this car is awesome!!

Niiiccccceee. Love manual shift. It's the best way to drive,... unless your lazy like most people are nowadays.
Nicely sound, awesome car V8 engine really really lovely !! I wish this one !
Can you guys do some drifting in these videos ? Coz that would be awesome!
After college....After college............ -_-
+Brian R or you can just get one when you 16 if you ask your arab dad (;
Wesam kachouri I'm an American and my dad is dead. Lost him at a young age. also, I've started a business, and currently saving up cash to buy one. Kiss my ass, you disrespectful kid.
And I'm 23. Definitely not 16.
i see how old you are by reading your comment....lol
Trollzor x Exdee I know right exdee so funny exdee gaga Trollzor you're so edumacated XD
Could have simply waited for the 2015 Z06 with 625 HP. :) This package probably makes the Stingray cost more than the 2015 Z06 coming early next year.
Thank you.
Amazing car

It sounds so cool and terrifying..it’s just as Terrifying as a C6 Z06
More videos of zr1 and c5 and c6 would be great please add a zr1 video
I'll take port/polish over supercharger any day!
((Lingenfelter hydraulic roller camshaft by Competition Cams))
Wont this hinder the daily drivablity of the car & cause issues like rough idling etc...?
KareemAbawi Over 3,000 RPMs the throttle was an on/off switch!
+Winding Road Magazine does the exterior door handle have a sensor or button or what?
+Winding Road Magazine does the exterior door handle have a sensor or button or what?
Its kind of a sensor where you hand goes in the door.
KareemAbawi I live 30 minutes away from linengfelter performance!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which Corvette did you enjoy the most, the C6 Grand Sport or the C7 Stingray?
Jeez that sound of the car on the freeway makes me think something bad is going to happen to the engine
Electric E BRAKES on these new cars make me nervous because I don't know if it properly engages. What if it fails and I don't realize it tell the cars is rolling down the street.
Car sounds great at WOT, but that drone down low would drive me mad.
Nice! But it's very clear that exhaust just drones drones drones
Go on man, break some laws, just kidding...destroy those laws!
Any reason for the "Engine" light to be on? As a C6 owner , I've problems with this light but the engine works fine! Is it frequent with Corvette?
Nice to see some dude driving sports cars SENSIBLY for a change..
Says my grandmother
+Nate Barry lol
How was the exhaust drone on the highway? Sometimes aftermarket exhaust can be pretty awful at low revs. Also, was that OEM rev-matching or were you doing it yourself?
savage car it is!
Looks good to me
Hell yeah Thats awesome.
Nice car
