I have so many cheap ideas you can do, like a push to start button, remote start, sound dampening, Android radio, led lighting inside and out and so on...
Dude never apologize for your content, you're super genuine! I honestly appreciate these kind of videos while I'm sitting here coding or working on my own, keep it up! PS: I learned more about bondo than I would have if I never watched this video lol So don't think you're not giving some type info to everyone
before I watched this video I was literally thinking to myself that we should get a reddit together to talk about our cars and the channel. I come watch it, and boom. here we are. lets get it. I'd love a reddit or discord (or both).
Like it taking more than 5 seconds to find constant power on the turbo timer install? I'm sure we'd be able to help. I've done a few livestreams but unfortunately don't have the following Robbie does.
Edit....holy shit guys im being sarcastic. That thing after the question mark is supposed to be a winky face. Wait a second, did you realize the reds dont match? ;)
I loved the jump cuts where you were heading to the store. You may not notice it, but you are really beginning to form your own style. Good stuff Robbie! Keep up the good work!
You may call this 'boring' content but I enjoyed the whole video. This is real life and real things that come up with project cars. You're showing its not all perfect planning and rainbows. Please keep this type of content flowing!
Well, now you know the true pains of body repair, but today I put a windshield in my 1998 ram and I have to say I have major respect for what you are doing... Keep it up you're awesome Robbie. Thanks.
This reminds me of bondoing the quarter panel on my car a few weeks ago! (I replaced the rockers, quarters, and front fenders of my '02 Monte Carlo SS because they were all rusted away from living here in Minnesota). Great video! Keep up the great work!
Just a tip, when you’re using bondo you can spray a light guide coat over it like black spray paint and it gives you more of a senses of how much to sand.
Most underrated channel I’ve ever seen. I’ve been watching since the first civic video and I believe you deserve at least 500k subs, you’re an amazing TH-camr, keep it up!
Really good video man, loved it. And I like that your breaking it up into a couple videos, keeps us on our toes haha. I do paint and bumper repair on cars and use that puddy all the time. You can just use a razor blade to spread a little amount over the chips your trying to fill. You're right about spreading it thin, but you didn't have to use that much. Just a friendly tip to help you save some time sanding. Good luck on the future vids and hopefully you take my advice on the paint and just get a gun and do the proper prep and do a legit spray. Either way, I'm excited for what's in store! Keep it up brotha!
I personally like the stock radios on cars. Looks a lot better than aftermarket ones. Unless you spend a little bit of money on a touchscreen modern one (can sometimes connect to the ecu).
I like these kinds of videos more to be honest, this kinda stuff a lot of people try to avoid doing for their first time because its hard and you read stuff about it being so difficult to do and how many mistakes people make but you working on your car and being confident helps others realize that they can as well do this and that we can work off your mistakes since you arent a proffesional.
You say that doing bondo isn't interesting for a video, yet you proceed to improve the quality of your videos and they keep on getting better and better! I love your videos man! happy early 100k!!!
Hey Robbie, I’m a relatively new subscriber and I just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos man. I’m from Hamilton and I really wish I was subscribed when you lived in Toronto, we could have gone for a cruise. Anyways, thank you for everything you do, you are my absolute favourite car content creator on TH-cam. You inspire me in every video to continue to work on my car and think of new things to improve. Stay committed✌️
First of all I tune in to these civic videos like a kid in a candy store keep them coming and second in the future if you do more paint/body work there's a technique in witch you use a " guide coat" that helps alot with low points when your sanding and filling
Try connecting the radio straight to the battery. (Grab the Constant & Power wire and put them together and put them on the positive terminal. Grab the ground of and put it on the negative terminal. If it doesnt turn on, dont bother with it)
You should get a multimeter, some $5 crappy one is enough. The radio looks like the power source blew. If the fuse in a car was blown its probably right at the start of the powerline (some diode), otherwise its most likely the power stabilisator. Sometimes just opening it up and go by the smell works, if something burned out you will smell it. Cheers
When applying bondo cut your application tool into a "kidney" shape to better curve around the fender, you can also mix body filler with fibreglass resin as it uses the same catalyst, this will make it runnier and easier to apply smoothly :)
I can’t remember or not if you have the s300 hondata but if you do I’m pretty sure it has blue tooth, if you get an android radio you can view live data if you download the hondata app
Best radio to get on a budget is pioneer in my truck I have a pioneer 6 Chanel but that’s because I have a sub and even then it only cost me 112(usd) not sure what that translates to in cd but you get the point
Your doing great work Robbie your only growing as a youtuber and doing well you look alot happier in your videos since you quit your job to bro so congrats man
most likely had a bad ground and caused a short circuit inside, happened to my first radio, wouldnt turn on or do anyhting, baught a new radio and it worked fine, if you drove down a bumpy road and the circuit board bounced enough to contact the case it would have shorted it out, if you open it up and it smells burnt or see anything melted slightly, thats your problem.
A touchscreen aftermarket head unit is a great idea besides you can buy a cheap one from wish and show us how you'd go installing it. And your content is just great so stop worrying and keep up the good work.
If you want to show us other sides of yourself, either upload it here, on you channel. Or maybe make a second channel? I would personally prefer if everything stayed on TH-cam, but it’s all up to you. Do what you want :D
When your done smoothing it out I would use the finished product as a fiberglass mold then take it all off like all the bondo and fender flares you put on and then put the fiberglass mold on if that makes sense
CME well yeah obviously metal would be better but I doubt this kid knows anything about metal fab I feel like they could at least figure out how to lay some fiberglass
You could start a Twitch Channel and that way you could play xbox with subs on twitch or even just stream you working in the garage. Twitch has a lot more than just video games on it now, I think people would watch garage work livestreams. That way it's real time interaction.
Have you thought about live streaming? whether it's through youtube or twitch, there's a lot of things you can do with people during streams, and there's some games you can play where the stream decides what's gonna happen in your games. I feel like that would be a great thing for like once a week streams or something? The jackbox games are super fun on stream too.
Less than a 100 dollars poor mans paint job, currently working with my car with this. Hard work but in the end youll have a pretty nice looking color that last for year's.
Hey dude, been watching with your channel for a bit now and an idea that I've always wanted to do but I think would suite you better is livestream hangouts. So you know when you and Emerson like work on any of the cars or go to shows etc, you can dedicate 2-3 hours of that event or even make it a full livestream of the event and then edit that livestream into a video later. Would be cool and would allow us to directly interact with you in a live manner.
You should buy a touchscreen radio from wish
Yess
www.wish.com/share/11089nnefq
I have one with back cam, works pretty well. The cam suffers at night though even with the LED lights it comes with.
I agree!!
I agree . I bought a cheap one for like 75 bucks and it actually still works.
I have so many cheap ideas you can do, like a push to start button, remote start, sound dampening, Android radio, led lighting inside and out and so on...
Yes to all of these. This would be great content
Most is on wish too, savings all around
ong
Push to start would be so sick
Ethan McCormick no it wouldn’t
Dude never apologize for your content, you're super genuine! I honestly appreciate these kind of videos while I'm sitting here coding or working on my own, keep it up!
PS: I learned more about bondo than I would have if I never watched this video lol So don't think you're not giving some type info to everyone
Create a discord for your commmnity, or a reddit community
I think a discord would be awesome as well
Both are great ideas.
+1
I was thinking discord too. That would be awesome
before I watched this video I was literally thinking to myself that we should get a reddit together to talk about our cars and the channel. I come watch it, and boom. here we are. lets get it. I'd love a reddit or discord (or both).
It’s so crazy thinking how far the civic has come over the last few months is insane. You and Emerson have been killing it
You should livestream while you work in the garage, that would be a cool way to interact with fans and help pay for the civic with donations.
thats actually one of the best ideas I've heard. I'd love to watch them work on it first hand and help out with the car doing so.
Like it taking more than 5 seconds to find constant power on the turbo timer install? I'm sure we'd be able to help. I've done a few livestreams but unfortunately don't have the following Robbie does.
dude stfu
That would be awesome, and give him immediate feedback and possible help with stuff.
Edit....holy shit guys im being sarcastic. That thing after the question mark is supposed to be a winky face.
Wait a second, did you realize the reds dont match? ;)
lol
If your new they never did match from the first time painting
Cole Schowe hes being sarcastic. Lol
AR Precision Mod Shop - yeah when he made the wide body
Emmanuel Tseros OMG ARE YOU GUYS FUCKING DUMB HES BEING SARCASTIC WTF
You should make a subreddit! It would be perfect for: discussing how to fix or what parts to get for the build, QnA, memes ecc...
Please keep this type of content flowing!
ayyyy we see that t-shirt
you beat me to 100K and I'll stop wearing it😂❤️
Well, now you know the true pains of body repair, but today I put a windshield in my 1998 ram and I have to say I have major respect for what you are doing... Keep it up you're awesome Robbie. Thanks.
These kind of videos are why I stayed. I like the videos of you ACTUALLY working on the car.
This reminds me of bondoing the quarter panel on my car a few weeks ago! (I replaced the rockers, quarters, and front fenders of my '02 Monte Carlo SS because they were all rusted away from living here in Minnesota). Great video! Keep up the great work!
Buy a touch screen music player for Civic from wish
Love this project and the road you're taking with it. Stay awesome!
Just a tip, when you’re using bondo you can spray a light guide coat over it like black spray paint and it gives you more of a senses of how much to sand.
Robbie really needs a vlog channel!!
Most underrated channel I’ve ever seen. I’ve been watching since the first civic video and I believe you deserve at least 500k subs, you’re an amazing TH-camr, keep it up!
It wasnt boring man, with your video editting skills it kept me interested all the way through
I've watched all the budget build videos so many times
I dont know why but i found it really satisfying to see the progress that you do. Its really entertaining🤔
Can't wait to see where the EG ends up. You guys have made some serious progress, in what feels like such a short amount of time. Keep it up! 👍
Every video of you is entertaining. I would watch you sanding the whole day
Love the vids man. Also like how much you’re uploading 🤘🏽
Really good video man, loved it. And I like that your breaking it up into a couple videos, keeps us on our toes haha. I do paint and bumper repair on cars and use that puddy all the time. Functionality though is not always the best. Especially true in older cars.
Jay Griffis if your worried about functionality you can get an fm blue tooth transmitter and they sound like the stock headunit
I guess you could.

Great video watch Chris fix for good ideas on the paint
loved the little snip of hanging out with emerson, makes it feel like it's not as bland, makes it more personal showing what you do besides car stuff
Hey Robbie, I’m a relatively new subscriber and I just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos man. Best channel ever !!! Keep up the great work man props to you❤❤🚘✌
Your videos are inspiring me to do this I appreciate you !
First of all I tune in to these civic videos like a kid in a candy store keep them coming and second in the future if you do more paint/body work there's a technique in witch you use a " guide coat" that helps alot with low points when your sanding and filling
Custom dual dimm radio for the civic, and the Sony headunit in the Civic is pretty old
Some other people mentioned making a subreddit which is an awesome idea.
You could also do some live streams, that would be pretty cool.
almost 100k my dude!!! keep it going
I just bought the last item on the website! ...couldn't wait any longer for the new shirts! :)
Your getting so close to 100k!! Damn can’t wait
Yes Robbie keep up the amazing videos.
Hi build primer and guide coat will help with smoothing body work
Try connecting the radio straight to the battery. (Grab the Constant & Power wire and put them together and put them on the positive terminal. Grab the ground of and put it on the negative terminal. If it doesnt turn on, dont bother with it)
Can’t wait for some more merch to make it to the store👍
You should get a multimeter, some $5 crappy one is enough. The radio looks like the power source blew. If the fuse in a car was blown its probably right at the start of the powerline (some diode), otherwise its most likely the power stabilisator.
Sometimes just opening it up and go by the smell works, if something burned out you will smell it.
Cheers
Looks amazing cant wait for the new color!!
Can't wait for the paint gonna be awesome and keep up the good work
So hyped for the final result :D
When applying bondo cut your application tool into a "kidney" shape to better curve around the fender, you can also mix body filler with fibreglass resin as it uses the same catalyst, this will make it runnier and easier to apply smoothly :)
Use a guide coat when sanding auotmotive panels, shows high and low spots.
Remote start on the Civic mod?
I can’t remember or not if you have the s300 hondata but if you do I’m pretty sure it has blue tooth, if you get an android radio you can view live data if you download the hondata app
I remember watching Kyle Reese's homemade fenders series, they were amazing but did take about a century to finish
creating a discord would be a really easy and really fun way to talk and connect with your viewers.
My dude killing it with the PBR
Best radio to get on a budget is pioneer in my truck I have a pioneer 6 Chanel but that’s because I have a sub and even then it only cost me 112(usd) not sure what that translates to in cd but you get the point
7:03 😂😂 loving the content bro!! Bring back the S10!! MiniTruckin!! 🤘🤘
Great vid stay committed always
Looked great the 1st time do I'm hyped for this
COMITTED CREWWW IN DA HOUSEEEE🔥🔥🔥
Greatly enjoying your videos.
Take the radio apart, it might have another fuse inside.
They usually have another glass type fuse in the inside.
Could always make a Discord if you don't already. Would be pretty chill.
Unpopular opinion: the first sanding video was one of my favorites and was prolly how I started following the series
Spray a light coat of paint and then sand to find the low spots. I believe it's call a guide coat
Use self etching primer. Itll get rid of those little pin holes and imperfections
Your doing great work Robbie your only growing as a youtuber and doing well you look alot happier in your videos since you quit your job to bro so congrats man
Oh the joys of block sanding! Get your wrist brace ready!
Wish radio. I've been looking at them too
most likely had a bad ground and caused a short circuit inside, happened to my first radio, wouldnt turn on or do anyhting, baught a new radio and it worked fine, if you drove down a bumpy road and the circuit board bounced enough to contact the case it would have shorted it out, if you open it up and it smells burnt or see anything melted slightly, thats your problem.
Paint it a high gloss black. Would look sick 👌
Should cover the screamer pipe when working with bondo
Wrap 😁 wraps are awesome plus there becoming cheaper easier to restate if one day it’s got to be changed
Did you roll the fenders at all? I don't remember if you did or not, I recommend that you should.
Love this civic man, keep up the awesome vids man.
Start streaming on twitch so while you are gaming you can answer our questions and we can support your builds by donating...
A touchscreen aftermarket head unit is a great idea besides you can buy a cheap one from wish and show us how you'd go installing it. And your content is just great so stop worrying and keep up the good work.
Get the Pioneer S-4000 (BT). I have it in my car and it does a really good job, plus it costs only like a hundred bucks
Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in? Or maybe hitting it a little?
all your content is good
I love rhino grey (wraps) on civics
If you want to show us other sides of yourself, either upload it here, on you channel. Or maybe make a second channel? I would personally prefer if everything stayed on TH-cam, but it’s all up to you. Do what you want :D
When your done smoothing it out I would use the finished product as a fiberglass mold then take it all off like all the bondo and fender flares you put on and then put the fiberglass mold on if that makes sense
No mate i think he wants a seamless widebody.
True
I just feel like it would be better then 3inches of bondo caked on there
@@TomTheTech1 It will peel up after some time, the bondo is not strong enough.
Best solution is to weld metal flares on.
CME well yeah obviously metal would be better but I doubt this kid knows anything about metal fab I feel like they could at least figure out how to lay some fiberglass
Start a discord server! Awesome way to have you and your whole fan base interacting - even when you're not on, we can talk among ourselves :D
You could start a Twitch Channel and that way you could play xbox with subs on twitch or even just stream you working in the garage. Twitch has a lot more than just video games on it now, I think people would watch garage work livestreams. That way it's real time interaction.
The transformation of the civic over the series is insane, should do car meets on forza and stream them, keep up the videos, all the way from scotland:)
I'm waiting for the light grey / silver paint so bad!
Love your Vids on civic keep it up man
I was waiting for this video keep up the good vids
Have you thought about live streaming? whether it's through youtube or twitch, there's a lot of things you can do with people during streams, and there's some games you can play where the stream decides what's gonna happen in your games. I feel like that would be a great thing for like once a week streams or something? The jackbox games are super fun on stream too.
Getting a snapchat would be a good thing to have that way you can reply to people and get more ideas and we can see more of what your doing
Get a xdb16bt its a $20 radio and it has pretty good quality
How much fuel do you use in one week? I've been watching you almost from the beginning, keep up the good work💪👍
discord is the perfect option for a community way to talk and it is free to host a sever and to get on mac pc ios android
Paint it then wrap it or plastic dip because you can always took that all the paint was still look good underneath
I know you were looking into how your car should be painted or wrapped. If you do the prep work yourself. Maaco is cheap for just a base coat.
Wassup is lit my dude i like ur videos so much there so good no joke keep the work up 🤙
Hey man love what your doing, like this or some shit so I feel special
