    I have an MPC Live and have loved it since day 1. Ready for an X but waiting to see what Akai drops this year to go with 3.0. Can’t wait!

      Yeah the Live 2 is really dope becuase of the battery and speaker. I love working in music on the go or while travelling and with the MPC3 update that’s gonna be sick! Only thing with the live is that I wish there were more buttons and I’m not in love with soft buttons.

      @@trackfammusic2979I feel you. The best hardware for 3.0 will be the new line released this year. Then the current line up will go down in price which will help some get an X or whatever they can’t afford now.

      @@RalphLBaer I think we can all agree that people these days need, and many of us want to get away from phones and computer screens.. that’s one reason.
      But most importantly many of us come from using vintage MPC and actual instruments. it’s a different feel.. which is very important in music creation. Same thing as if you tried to convince a guitarist to start using a guitar midi controller with a touch screen without real strings.
      I don’t see the point of paying for an expensive mpc if it’s just a music dedicated tablet. Eventually I think even the “new” mpc users would feel the same and just stick with a regular tablet, beatmaker3 and midi controller, where they could do other things like paying bills, watching movies, checking emails etc. Who knows maybe that’s AKAIs next move for the MPC 😂
      I think it’s smart of akai to keep at least one MPC that has some resemblance to the vintage MPCs.

    You don't use a stand for the One? Makes a big difference, ergonomically. Have a few, I like the inexpensive foldable laptop stands. Because they have like 8 angle settings, don't take space on the desk and can be folded super small. Just don't get the cheap plastic ones, metal is much more stable.

      Thanks man. I actually do have a great foldable aluminum laptop stand, but for some reason I still lean over too much when I use the MPC ONE.

      @@VigoBeatz ok dope. So you are comfortable arranging, mixing and actually finishing a beat in the MPC? I just haven’t been able to do that on a regular basis in my MPCs throughout the years. It’s just too annoying and tedious.. which leads to a lot of unfinished music for me.

      @@trackfammusic2979 I did the same thing in FL Studio. The trick is to find the workflow that makes you the most productive with the least headache. Sometimes a little computer action is all that's needed to finish up the track. You should try the MPC Live or Live II, I found that being out in the open making beats solved a lot of beat block for me. Wishing you the best bro. Thanks for the video.

    I waited a while to jump back into the Akai workflow until I decided to go with the mpc key 61. I feel like it was the best value for the money so far between the instrument library the ram and the option for the internal storage. For me it was the best choice for a standalone workstation. I’ve had it for about a week now and I’m sure the 3.0 software once the kinks get ironed out should make it an even more pleasant experience. Hardware itself is a happy medium in my opinion not as many buttons as maybe the mpc X but you have less touches on the screen than the live.

      Yeah. I really do think we will all be “ok”. Everybody can’t be a 100% happy all the time but to me the update looks great overall.

    I use my MPC X as a control control surface for my MPC VST software in FL Studio. My IPad using Beatmaker 3 is the closest I get to using a standalone MPC type workflow.

    • @trackfammusic2979
      @trackfammusic2979  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok interesting. How exactly do you incorporate beat maker on your iPad on your workflow? Do you think the X works smooth as a plug in in FL? I made a video about that a few years ago, but it felt “clunky” to me so I haven’t used it like that in a long time. Do you know if it got better the last 1-2 years?

    • @kuandemarco5498
      @kuandemarco5498 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@trackfammusic2979 unfortunately there’s something wrong with the mpc software working correctly in FL and it freezes. The workaround is using the mpc beats as a VST instead. It’s the same plugin but you can only use 8 tracks in mpc beats vs what mpc 2.0 VST. I don’t know why mpc if I cook up a beat on the iPad using Beatmaker 3 I export the stems or midi to FL studio or to a folder to import to the MPC for that MPC swing and any additional chopping. Sometimes BM3 does the the heavy lifting and I mix the stems in my Daw without any additional production. My workflow if I don’t start on my I pad fist is done in FL studio and MPC as a VST. I track vocals and mix in Luna. I mix the beat in FL studio with everything bussed to either an Instrument bus, drum bus, and bass bus. I have my affects bussed also but I don’t export them as stems. The instrument, drum, and bass bus I sum in Luna and mix with the vocals. Luna has an amazing analog sound and to my ears give the digital plugins what they’re missing from their analog counterparts with minimal tweaking. I don’t ever see myself using Luna to produce although it has that capability, its strength is acting more like a console emulating an analogue workflow or summing desk.
      X works pretty smooth as a plugin when mpc beats is used instead of its big brother. I think it’s some sort of conspiracy of why the mpc software is so buggy in DAWs. At least with FL studio.

    MPC Live 2 Retro Standalone. I need that MPC X SE, but I feel like another MPC is around the corner.
    Hopefully it has a powerful processor that can process stems and timestretching a lot better and faster.
    A larger screen. And some additional modularity which allows us to upgrade the memory
