    I just bought a 2020 VW Tiguan last week and I must say, I’m in love with it. I was never a VW type of guy but when I went to the dealership to look at some preowned vehicles he wanted me to treat drive this model here. Drives like a Mercedes Benz and even though I had my car for 8 days now, I’m still trying to figure out how to work the gadgets bc there is so much that comes with it. But so far what I wanna add that u have not mentioned is the drive safety feature. Yesterday I had my eyes dazing off the road for a brief second and the car stopped smoothly as I was traveling at a speed of 50mphs. The car stopped itself without impact bc it sensed my speed and the cars ahead of me that was at a complete stop at a red light. If the car did not stop the way it did, I would’ve sadly smashed into the back of another car at 50mps an hour. So definitely make another video with that feature includes bc that there prevented an accident due to my negligence. Aside from that, great vehicle. And my car is fully covered up to 120,000 miles such as transmission, etc. I have my own pressure cleaning business so this vehicle can also haul my trailer. I just need to purchase the tow package bc it did not come with it. And having 3 kids, it has 3 rows of seating with the back seats being able to fold down so if u ever needed to sleep in ur vehicle u have plenty of room. And the gas mileage is incredible. I filled up my tank from empty, only costed me $34 and I got roughly 460 miles highway miles on it. So for everyone who’s looking to purchase a very high tech, nice looking vehicle that doesn’t burn ur pockets for gas, I highly recommend this model right here. And for the price, I’m from south Florida, my specific model at price goes for $27,499. But thankfully, bc I knew the owner of Gunther, I walked off the Lott paying only $20,500. So again, I highly recommend this vehicle for all parents with young children or for anyone who wants a flashy car for a great price.

    The new generation of AID is on all EU-made Tiguans from manufacturing week 48 2018. And it's smaller than the older one, not bigger!
    It has more configuration options than the old one and supports fullscreen navigation map.

    Mirror link is where u can connect say a Samsung phone to your cars media and play films, or utube clips/video's via this connection. Most modern Tv's have mirror link where u can watch video's from your phone and play directly on to your Tv. I have this on my mk7.5 GTD. Excellent review by the way..

    Well, after 3x Audi A4 Avant, I now do have the Tiguan Allspace (which is the "normal" Tiguan in the US) since about 2 months now which is fully equipped except leather and 3rd seat row.
    In my last A4 I had the Connect internet system as again now in the Tiguan. I am very familiar with Androud Auto since my wife has it in her SEAT (VW sub brand in Europe) since 3 years now.
    And sorry but I have to say that are wrong: the inbuild navi system is set better to use than the one on your phone. You have live traffic data, you can search with Google too, you can sync addresses of your phone, you can send navi data by internet too, and - as you said - you see the navi map on the digital dash and (!) in the head up display! Does points make it worth the money, I never have used my Android Auto yet...

    Mr. Bachman, is there a way to get a digital CLOCK display on the driver's cockpit area 2019 Tiguan SEL R Line Black Platnum Gray?

    • @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville
      @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be a clock there by default, if you aren't seeing one I would go through the Digital dash menu system or try switching display styles within the menu.

    I have a 2019 Tiguan SEL in the UK. My road sign recognition does not work properly, it gives the wrong speed for the national speed limit sign on dual carriageways. It shows 60 instead of 70. It also shows wrong on the sat nav and prevents you from using the audible warning feature because the speed is showing wrong.

    Great video, I have a theory about the Tiguan panoramic sunroof ambient lighting. My 2019 Tiguan SEL Premium R Line was built October 2018 and I have the last generation VW cockpit. But I also have the ambient lighting in the panoramic sunroof installed but disable. I bet the 2019 Tiguan with the new VW cockpit no longer have the ambient lighting in the panoramic sunroof. According to VW of America the new Tiguan will no longer carry the ambient lighting in the panoramic sunroof.

    I believe the new active info display has different behaviour than the previous gen if you switch the map display to full screen.
    On the previous gen, the two dials will shrink, but on the new gen I think they will simply disappear and make the map truly full screen.
    Could you confirm that?
    Great video btw

    The new dash screen is 10 inches vs the 12.3 inches on older version. With that it was a mistake to say it is larger now. However, with the new one they introduced a bit more customizations. Which i hope VW will implement to the larger older dash.

    • @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville
      @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. My mistake, it does however seem larger due to it all being seamless instead of having the circular cut-outs like traditional gauges. I do enjoy the added customization!

    • @nvamember
      @nvamember 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bachman Volkswagen Now the question do you think VW will update the current/older 12.3 software to match or be close to the new one. I think it would only be fair if they did especially when they are having both being sold side by side

    • @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville
      @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think that would be a challenge for them since the screens are different shapes. I feel like the could simplify the older UI to more closely match the new one though. Unfortunately, from my experience the Motor Vehicle industry(outside of Tesla and boutique manufacturers) software updates are few and far between.

  • @AlaskaErik

    No TPMS with individual tire pressure display. All my vehicles have individual tire pressure display and after three flats it's important for me to have it. Steering wheel heat...no physical button to turn on? There needs to be a balance between physical controls and touch screen controls. As for the stop/start, is there a way to disable it? Most vehicles with it also allow you to disable with the push of a button.

    • @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville
      @BachmanVolkswagenLouisville  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There may be a way to see individual tire pressure, I’ll have to check on that. There is a physical button to turn on the heated steering wheel, although it is combined with the heated seat button, which is odd. You can disable the Auto Start/Stop with the push of a button!

    • @AlaskaErik
      @AlaskaErik 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I want a vehicle with individual tire pressure displayed, not an idiot light that lets you know a tire is low.

    • @thedude2897
      @thedude2897 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you about the tpms. I have a 2018 Tiguan and wish it had individual tire pressure. The start stop has a button, but you have to press it every single time you start the car. There is a permanent way to disable it for a long as you want and that's with Carista.

    I love my tiguan but theres a couple of features I'm not sure about like safe lock and theres a voice button on steering wheel tells you to get a code from your dealer why put it on and not supply the code with the car, also safe lock tells you to contact dealer, when I was buying my tiguan I was told I had top of the range by dealer but Its obviously nit top of the range as it doesnt have a few feathers that you shown like heated steering wheel electric seat adjustment, my boot fails to open most of the time with key only unlocks but mine has like a step for helping get in and out they also do models with seat massage.

    My 2019 Tiguan Sel Premium seems to do everything except automatically change the clock when entering a different time zone -- I drove from central to eastern time and I had to manually change the time zone -- I can't believe this -- You would think that the GPS would automatically sense a time zone change ???

    Good video, thanks. The new Escape seems to be going in the same direction for the tech, it will be interesting to see how it compares in a head to head comparison. The new escape will offer more engine choices which may give it an advantage, base, hybrid's and even a high performance engine. Although I here that the Tiguan may come in an "R" model that will have a higher performance engine.
