Yes, most monsters once beginning a attack/animation wont turn/change that animation. At least one exception comes to mind, that being Lavasioth, who while charging his breath attack will follow you until he fires it and its one of the many things that make him extremely annoying to fight.

One thing that make me thing Rajang is easier than scared Garuga is that once you block his punch he you can ignore the other while Garuga peck ... They still count as new attack, blocking it would be stupid if you don't have use energy drink, not only that Garuga has that bipedal wyvern charge attack, he would just attack you almost without telling it unlike other attak
😄😄 Emulation is very important in preserving video games, historically, culturally, etc. This game will always have a good reason to play it as it stands out from the modern games, so, hopefully it will always have a good way to play it as well.

@@jasonlobo2350 I play on an Android emulator. It wasn't a pleasant sight to fight Rajang. I was using my Kirin Greatsword because its Sharpness is just superior compared to my other weapons. I'll use my Scythe of Menace longsword on Rajang in my next hunt. When I finally landed the killing blow to Rajang, I ran out of Potions but I didn't run out of time like how I did with Diablos. I always have to remind myself that whenever I face a strong Monster alone with no knowledge of who I'm facing, I bring all of my health potions and Book of Combos so that I can familiarize myself with their movements.
I beat the whole game using Hammer and going solo 6 years ago, and a few weeks ago I dusted off my PSP to try and get all the Badges/Achievements in the game, and G rank is so frustrating, moreover when you depend on one weapon to kill all the G monsters.
@@HeadHunter455 hey lol I just fought rajang and he died because of th white rock thingy. I stand behind it then rajang dash into it then the game said 'quest completed' and I was like 'whaaaaat??'
This is the only quest I'm force to use range weapon on him haha(except siege type quest). Those horns are hard to get with very little openings to hit the head. If guys want them horns, I suggest bow with rapid lvl3 or lvl4 charge even better if it's has ice element.
Tigrex Whisker may work, you don't need ice element to break his horns, and the best ice bow right now is "Abominable Bow I" which is a bit weaker than Tigrex Whisker unfortunately.

While in high rank it's quite effective than raw cause element dmg doesn't get affected by arrow's motion value so that little openings when rajang turns toward you which is quite often, those 2-3 extra arrow shots except the main one will deal consistent element dmg haha iirc rajang can receive 30(35 maybe) ice element to it's head which decent enough haha
He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well He's finally back to kick some tail His [MOUTH] can fire in spurts If he shoots ya, it's gonna hurt! He's bigger, faster, and stronger too [BETTER BRING A GS IF YA DON'T WANNA GET PLUCK'ed] Huh! Gunlancing this guy is a headache. For anyone having trouble with him, a GS with Unsheate Crit is probably One of the best melee alternatives
for lance and gun lance users you can block almost of his attacks except his laser beam so prepare to block at the moments notice. dont go near his face unless you want to break the horns. go to where his arms are best way to avoid his laser beam is by using the side evade and to evade his jumping lightnig bolt you either have to block it or do the back hop twice(unless you have evade and evade distance) dont greed at all know when is the right time to hit and the right time to block or evade. most usefull armor skills for lance & gl are guard,evade,evade distance
I think that evade lancing rajang is much better than blocking, since you'd want to get as much free hits as you can because he just doesn't stand still.
@@FaithlessImperial6092 If you want to evade more often. Just use a Longsword or Sword and Shield. Weapons don't bounce off on Rajang because he is no Fatalis.
@@FaithlessImperial6092 The Lance's main niche is Defense and Long Reach. Back-hopping is just tedious to do against fast enemies. You'd rather drink a Mega Juice rather than just worrying about your stamina running out. I'd rather Lance charge than Back-hopping. If I wanted an agile weapon, I'd use a Light Bowgun, SnS, and the Dual Blades.
@@unknownparadox303 In order to avoid High Rank Gravios Mobile Beam, you just have to panic jump out of the way. Don't use a Lance against the Gravios if you don't have the Guard +2 Skill.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx Well I'm using heavy bowgun to face gravios since his shell is so hard. If I have to sheathe my bowgun, it will waste a lot of time and just get hit instead. Any suggested other weapon?
@@unknownparadox303 You won't bounce a lot with Sword and Shield. Just use any weapon that has a Water Attribute on it. However, its recommended to use Bombs if you're going to melee. Using Gunner weapons are the easiest way to beat a Gravios however, small monster will attempt to ruin your quest.

Hi, I have a question. I want to craft a Finishing Hammer but I can't get a Diablos Tail. Every time, I fighting him (5☆ Granny) and cut the fail off, I just get a shell. It's very annoying. How can I get a tail, or which quest I should do??
You just have to keep trying, sorry :/ If it helps, try cutting off the tail, carving, and then abandoning if you don't get the tail. You can also have a chance to get the tail in the reward box after the quest if you cut it off.
14:05 you get an extra drop for the break I think. 17:55 pretty sure at this point of the game affinity is much better than both adrenaline and AuL, all depends on weapons base dmg and base affinity tho.
Adrenaline is always better than Affinity. Adrenaline is 30% more vs the 25% boost from 100% affinity, you can only normally get up to 80% affinity, not counting art of unsheathing, but even then. Affinity is only better than AuL at values of 270 or higher With Adrenaline and RA+3, it's better at 210 or higher With Heroics and RA+3, it's better at 180 or higher. At 100 raw, AuL boosts it to 120. RA+3 gets it to 107.5 At 200 raw, AuL boosts it to 220, RA+3 gets it to 215 at 260 raw, AuL boosts it to 280, RA+3 gets it to 279.5 at 270, RA+3 boosts it to 290.25, AuL gets it to 290 Shadow of the Moon has 240 raw, 50 affinity. 240/50 260/50 with AuL: 292.5 240/80 with RA+3: 288
Ah, Rajang. I hate fighting that thing, no matter the game haha. Gave me trouble in every MH game I played without exception. Those saying Rise is too easy clearly haven't taken notice of how vicious Rajang continues to be. Wait until Sunbreak and naysayers will be bawling about the difficulty.

In gu he wasn't that bad since we had options with hunting styles..adept and valor made almost everything managable(in some cases it made the game too easy)

That's understandable, Rajang is tough. Unfortunately this is a key quest in Nekoht's quest list lol, but there's no G-Rank key quest for Rajang, at least. I have an upcoming video showing how to fight G-Rank Rajang with a Longsword, hopefully that helps when it comes out 😅 Good luck >.
Yep! You can refer to my melee damage guide for more info, but basically a positive crit (red flash) is 25% extra damage and a negative crit (purple flash) is 25% less damage.

Yeah lol it's crazy. Some "chip" damage that monsters do can be upwards of a quarter of your health bar, it's nuts. Definitely gotta keep your armor up to date, try and upgrade them when you can 🙂
He's kinda bs in world, he's all over the place, you cant knock him down very easily and he has a ohko which isn't very common in mh. Still a fun fight but dunno, not the best rajang imo.
its because he has no downsides in World, no longer sits around waiting for you to attack him, less openings, doesn't waste time doing 3 blanca balls like in 4U, and he no longer has weakspots like in the old games. you do abysmal damage on all his parts that aren't his face because of the Hitzone changes, and now he actively counters you when he gets downed if he grabs things.
Yeah it's harder IMO. Like ChopStickz said, hitzones are much less forgiving, movements and attacks are so so much faster, more and different moves, much more fluid, less downtime lol

It can take some setting up, but follow the instructions and you should be fine. You have to join their discord, I think, and you can ask for help there if you get stuck. You also have to install Open VPN, letting you know now just in case you don't want to do that.
I probably will eventually, actually. It'll be easier because all the gear is chosen for me lol we'll see. I remember first doing GL vs Khezu and finding out that GL is a weapon that can be used against monsters during hunts. It was nice.

Rajang's movesets are still the same on G-Rank. However, the Attack Power is just very high so its gotta hurt a LOT! They're all hard-hitting moves after all.
Three days. It took me three days (playing at least 2 hours/day) to kill this monster during my first playthrough. But it was worth every second. This is the fight where I turned into a real hunter; Rajang will always be my favorite bossfight in the whole saga.
You did great against him tho, not that I expected any less lmao. I like him a lot more in 4U personally because of the more predictable nature of him. The sound design for him tho is fantastic, the punches sound like fucking shotgun blasts 😂

I play on an Android emulator.
It wasn't a pleasant sight to fight Rajang.
I was using my Kirin Greatsword because its Sharpness is just superior compared to my other weapons.
I'll use my Scythe of Menace longsword on Rajang in my next hunt.
When I finally landed the killing blow to Rajang, I ran out of Potions but I didn't run out of time like how I did with Diablos.
I always have to remind myself that whenever I face a strong Monster alone with no knowledge of who I'm facing, I bring all of my health potions and Book of Combos so that I can familiarize myself with their movements.
I beat the whole game using Hammer and going solo 6 years ago, and a few weeks ago I dusted off my PSP to try and get all the Badges/Achievements in the game, and G rank is so frustrating, moreover when you depend on one weapon to kill all the G monsters.

This is the only quest I'm force to use range weapon on him haha(except siege type quest). Those horns are hard to get with very little openings to hit the head. If guys want them horns, I suggest bow with rapid lvl3 or lvl4 charge even better if it's has ice element.
Tigrex Whisker may work, you don't need ice element to break his horns, and the best ice bow right now is "Abominable Bow I" which is a bit weaker than Tigrex Whisker unfortunately.

While in high rank it's quite effective than raw cause element dmg doesn't get affected by arrow's motion value so that little openings when rajang turns toward you which is quite often, those 2-3 extra arrow shots except the main one will deal consistent element dmg haha iirc rajang can receive 30(35 maybe) ice element to it's head which decent enough haha

for lance and gun lance users you can block almost of his attacks except his laser beam so prepare to block at the moments notice. dont go near his face unless you want to break the horns. go to where his arms are best way to avoid his laser beam is by using the side evade and to evade his jumping lightnig bolt you either have to block it or do the back hop twice(unless you have evade and evade distance) dont greed at all know when is the right time to hit and the right time to block or evade. most usefull armor skills for lance & gl are guard,evade,evade distance
I think that evade lancing rajang is much better than blocking, since you'd want to get as much free hits as you can because he just doesn't stand still.

If you want to evade more often.
Just use a Longsword or Sword and Shield.
Weapons don't bounce off on Rajang because he is no Fatalis.

The Lance's main niche is Defense and Long Reach.
Back-hopping is just tedious to do against fast enemies.
You'd rather drink a Mega Juice rather than just worrying about your stamina running out.
I'd rather Lance charge than Back-hopping.
If I wanted an agile weapon, I'd use a Light Bowgun, SnS, and the Dual Blades.

In order to avoid High Rank Gravios Mobile Beam, you just have to panic jump out of the way.
Don't use a Lance against the Gravios if you don't have the Guard +2 Skill.

You won't bounce a lot with Sword and Shield.
Just use any weapon that has a Water Attribute on it.
However, its recommended to use Bombs if you're going to melee.
Using Gunner weapons are the easiest way to beat a Gravios however, small monster will attempt to ruin your quest.

You can do it, just take your time, it's ok if you take a bit longer, you can always work on doing it a bit faster as you become more familiar with the fight 🙂
If you play GS, use a set with Tremor resist and you can exploit the absolute Hell out of most of his moves with level 2-3 charges.

Hi, I have a question. I want to craft a Finishing Hammer but I can't get a Diablos Tail. Every time, I fighting him (5☆ Granny) and cut the fail off, I just get a shell. It's very annoying. How can I get a tail, or which quest I should do??
You just have to keep trying, sorry :/
If it helps, try cutting off the tail, carving, and then abandoning if you don't get the tail.
You can also have a chance to get the tail in the reward box after the quest if you cut it off.

Adrenaline is always better than Affinity.
Adrenaline is 30% more vs the 25% boost from 100% affinity, you can only normally get up to 80% affinity, not counting art of unsheathing, but even then.
Affinity is only better than AuL at values of 270 or higher
With Adrenaline and RA+3, it's better at 210 or higher
With Heroics and RA+3, it's better at 180 or higher.
At 100 raw, AuL boosts it to 120. RA+3 gets it to 107.5
At 200 raw, AuL boosts it to 220, RA+3 gets it to 215
at 260 raw, AuL boosts it to 280, RA+3 gets it to 279.5

Ah, Rajang. I hate fighting that thing, no matter the game haha. Gave me trouble in every MH game I played without exception. Those saying Rise is too easy clearly haven't taken notice of how vicious Rajang continues to be. Wait until Sunbreak and naysayers will be bawling about the difficulty.

That's understandable, Rajang is tough. Unfortunately this is a key quest in Nekoht's quest list lol, but there's no G-Rank key quest for Rajang, at least.

Yep! You can refer to my melee damage guide for more info, but basically a positive crit (red flash) is 25% extra damage and a negative crit (purple flash) is 25% less damage.

Some "chip" damage that monsters do can be upwards of a quarter of your health bar, it's nuts.

I don't know why but I do find Iceborne Jang somewhat harder. Maybe the moveset is different or something?
He's kinda bs in world, he's all over the place, you cant knock him down very easily and he has a ohko which isn't very common in mh. Still a fun fight but dunno, not the best rajang imo.
its because he has no downsides in World, no longer sits around waiting for you to attack him, less openings, doesn't waste time doing 3 blanca balls like in 4U, and he no longer has weakspots like in the old games. you do abysmal damage on all his parts that aren't his face because of the Hitzone changes, and now he actively counters you when he gets downed if he grabs things.
Yeah it's harder IMO. Like ChopStickz said, hitzones are much less forgiving, movements and attacks are so so much faster, more and different moves, much more fluid, less downtime lol

It's what everyone uses, myself included. It can take some setting up, but follow the instructions and you should be fine. You have to join their discord, I think, and you can ask for help there if you get stuck. You also have to install Open VPN, letting you know now just in case you don't want to do that.

Three days. It took me three days (playing at least 2 hours/day) to kill this monster during my first playthrough. But it was worth every second. This is the fight where I turned into a real hunter; Rajang will always be my favorite bossfight in the whole saga.
