I decided to fight him with just weapons and after four quests fatalis hasn't died but now I can take advantage of your advice to defeat him, awesome guide as always 😎👍
FU Fatalis is.. interesting. I remember when a friend of mine and me tried g fatty for the first time, both blademasters. We failed the quest in the first 10 mins. Then we tried going ranged and won without a single cart
Hey man I picked up freedom unite a while back to solo, and I really appreciate all the guides, I wouldn’t have been able to do some of these fights without you. Hopefully I can unlock fatalis soon!
@@pranavr0y yea crimson fatalis is tough as hell. I went full circle of weapons and finally slew it using hunting horn with my friend who used dual blades (I tried to solo this thing but it is a champion-tier quest and I am ofc hammer main noob lol). It took me around 16 tries but it was very fun
Hey that's great to hear, I'm glad I was able to be a part of your journey! 🙂 It's a great game, and I love being able to help people get through it or share it with people who have never played or aren't able to. I made a video on unlocking Fatalis if you're not sure about how, good luck! Thanks for watching 😊
As someone who has watched you for quite a while now. It makes me happy to see a video about the Fatalis fight because this is a biiiiig milestone. The first step of the end, but still not quite there of course. One thing I noticed is the small mix of the Iceborne Fatalis' Theme, and it is pretty neat (I like when the phase changes after he flies to the other part of Castle Schrade.) Anyway, hope you are doing fine Heddy, and this is one of the best videos in your channel without a doubt.
Hey lol I'm glad you think so! Thanks for watching 🙂 I'll be covering the other Fatalis fights soon, progress on Crimson Fatalis is coming along pretty well.
I remember last year when I hunted fatalis with some very fun and satisfying strategy with my friends. We 4 used heavy bowguns with clust shots 2 and we exploded him to death (the funniest thing was that we "trapped" him and he couldn't move an inch) with heroics and mega demondrugs applied in less than 10 minutes XD (that was like 9:34 if I remember correctly). That was one of the most fun experiences in my hunter's carrier. Happy New Year Heddy and Anyone Who's Reading this ^^ I hope Y'all will succeed in 2022!
😅😅 I heard that GL was popular for Fatalis, and the corn one had 3 slots :P I haven't watched much Rurikhan tbh, but he seems like a cool guy, maybe he would approve ;P Happy new year!
It's finally here, thanks for the useful Fatalis guide! Haven't gotten to him yet in FU, but I imagine this tip could come in handy, if anyone wants some more kick for your bombs: Alchemy! Long story short, Alchemy is an armor skill that let's you do unique combinations, like, for instance, Ivy + Medium Monster Bone = Large Barrel! Combine that with the fact that you can unlock an Alchemy Guide Book item (must perform all Alchemy-related combinations) AND there's a felyne food skill that turns regular LBBs into LBB+ (Felyne Gunpowder), you could do some serious damage with this combo! ...granted, I haven't tried this strat against Fatalis, but I imagine people could take advantage of this if they see fit. (If you want to see how great this strat is against other monsters, check out SY Maul MH, his bombing runs really are something else)
Thanks >.< Unfortunately I know much more about this fight now than I did, I probably would've done it a bit differently, but that's alright, I hope. lol
Man, Fatalis is so much easier when you can mount spam him. In GenU, I either go gunner when fighting him or with an Insect Glaive and just spam mount attacks. Not only does a successful topple bring his head down to ground level for you (and maybe your team) to go ham on, but deals a good chunk of part-breaking damage so you can get his sweet, sweet Evil Eye for breaking his head twice.
Hey, that's a good enough reason! 😄 And poison's a nice enough status effect in multiplayer. Unfortunately I wish I just fought him with a Longsword for the main high rank guide :/ lol, I wasn't sure how Fatalis worked until a little too far into making this video. Ah well.
After failing to kill Lao Shan Lung numerous times, I decided to go after this bastard. I first faced Fatalis many years ago when my friends and I play together. I think they put a cheat so we can play high rank despite being noobs. I mean, we couldn't even handle a low rank Congalala. We didn't even last a minute with Fatalis.
It would've been interesting if to unlock a crimson Fatalis you would have to somewhat aim for the head with a sticky bowgun or a bonk weapons to break the head and repel it, and to unlock a white fatalis, you would have to solo hunt the Fatalis, or hunt him multiple times. Aside fron what i said, it is quite interesting that fatalis doesn't one-hit kill you with some of the attack, as i thought he would since GU fatalis would, maybe it's the armor you are wearing to get some type of Defence to literally don't get carted multiple times. But you can spot a huge difference of how this menace had been changed comparing it to iceborne one.
Yeah, for White Fatalis you need to kill 3 Fatalis and one of them has to be Crimson Fatalis. I guess you want to break his head anyways to get the evil eye but 🤷♀️ I'm not terribly sure what breakpoints are required, but I noticed with the Ceanataur S armor (not upgraded) and some of the +40 HP from Meat and Veggies, I can survive the snap and drag if I'm at near full health, which was interesting. I've always thought of it as an instant kill move. Yeah, he hits hard, but this fight is mostly legend, when you actually go into it and learn a bit about it, you'll realize that it's not really that big of a deal, which is kinda nice, honestly. Iceborne Fatalis kicked my shit in, if I ever get to MHW, it could be cool to make a solo guide, because all I've seen on youtube is just how to fight him with a group, and I think they were using fatalis gear too, lol... so... we'll see.
Question here, are the dark stones at the reward screen when repelling fatalis regular? i want the bigger drops like fatalis eye for fatalis gunlance (high rank). i feel so burnt out while fighting fatalis, resulting in 2 months of not playing freedom unite again, but there was still good old games like stick ranger
I'm not sure, but for things like Fatalis Eye, you need to break his head 3 times: monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Fatalis_Carves#MHF2/U Dark Stones can be obtained from the farm after beating tigrex, getting them from a repel seems about right.
@@rummkacak in my opinion, based on my experience giving it a try could be a good idea, as its armor has plenty of resistances and a quite interesting skill called Artisan which makes your weapon sharper by one stage (meaning white becomes purple and etc.). As for weapons I'd say they're very powerful as well. I used Fatalis Demolisher hammer and I wasn't failed by it at all. Its absolutely monstrous attack that surpasses 1400 and 260 dragon element all together make it pretty good addition to your set all the way up to G-Rank (this applies to all weapons, not only hammer. I am hammer main but if you can use other weapons well they'll be powerful as well)
Not terribly sure tbh. As far as I can tell it seems mostly unimpressive, at least as far as the high rank Fatalis armor goes, but I think the weapons have the best Dragon element values in the game? So there's that, I guess.
Take gunpowder skill from the kitchen, set items for the most important thing, i means arrange them in the first page of item menu. It could save times, bomber skill isn't necessary if you're melee hunter. For extra bombs be melee hunter, it needs alot space for the combine books and alchemy book. I am more comfort with range weapon against fatty. And i think you should have range weapons guide against it, it would be fun, and thank you for the videos.
I'm not sure how much is the same or different for MHF1 tbh, I'd figure the moves are mostly the same, but the hunters equipment and items might be different enough.
Fighting Fatalis with a Longsword was both hard to fight and hard on my real body, incredibly taxing. To put it simply, Fatalis could be the hardest Elder Dragon I have fought so far, and I have fought the likes of Alatreon and other non-Black Dragon Elder Dragons, I ate Lunastras and Teostras as snacks. Fatalis truly deserves the title: THE Black Dragon.
Keep it up! I believe even if you fail the quest his health wont reset, so you can keep chipping away at him, even if you fail part way through. It's a tough fight >.< Good luck!
