Perhaps this film will shed some light on the paradox of theodicy because in his book ('Letters and Papers from Prison") Bonhoeffer talks a lot about 'God who also suffers with humanity.' It might be somewhat challenging for ordinary people to understand; only individuals with special gifts like Bonhoeffer can fully comprehend it. He was an extraordinary person!

Metaxas distorts Bonhoeffer’s story. He’s not taken seriously by Bonhoeffer scholars. There are far better biographies, starting with the one written by Eberhard Busch, Bonhoeffer’s close friend.
