The media and the party campaigns' anti-trump rhetoric is the reason why trump won. End of story. No one to blame but themselves for being dishonest to the people, and people saw right through it. Polling was't even close, they 100% wrong and lied to the people. The outcome was obvious for a month which is why polymarket bets were 100% in favour of trump. When money is on the line, people are rational and not emotional.
Sadly, the media in Canada is actually worse and more dishonest than american media since it's 100% funded by the government. I hope canadians can see through this.

Harris has never won a competitive election. She won the California attorney general election in 2010 against Steven Cooley (R) by a mere 0.8% margin (46.1 vs 45.3) in a state where Democrats usually win easily. Harris became a senator in 2016 when she beat Loretta Sanchez in a run off election in California. Sanchez was a fellow democrat!
She became the democratic presidential candidate without a primary. When she ran in 2020 primary she was knocked out early without gaining a single delegate.
It is no wonder she got beaten badly against Trump. Democrats should have gone through a "democratic" process to select a proper nominee.

And Biden's timing doomed Harris before she ever started her campaign. Biden should have declared upon his election that he would not seek re-election. Then the Dem party could have had the primary process to examine, compare, and vote for the best possible candidate. Angry and don’t understand cause and effect. How does changing the occupant of the White House affect that in any direction?
She tried to identify a component cause of the problem but was vague about how she would address it (how exactly would she stop price gouging by grocers?, assuming it even was as big a component as she proposed). Meanwhile he just lied and said he could fix it without any attempt to articulate a plan as to how. So ironically she’s the one who had “the concept of a plan” and he had nothing. Apparently attempting to address a complex issue, and failing, is worse than just lying and claiming you can fix it.
She got mired in the weeds of a plan and yet she’s the one who got criticized for “not having any plans” despite her opponent laying out fewer plans than she ever did.
Of what little they did specify, She had one small but particularly bad plan about taxing unrealized gains (which would have never passed Congress even if her party controlled it) while the few plans he did lay out were disastrous like global 20% import tariffs which would be likely to pass a GoP controlled Congress. So his horrendous large plan which is possibly doable barely gets mentioned while she’s mercilessly criticized for a bad but small and never going to happen plan. The Democratic candidate has to be 50 times better to be seen as competitive (which given how ridiculously low the bar is it should have easily still been doable) but the democrats are too incompetent to do so.
