We love our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC and our 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE. These 2 Mitsubishis, our ones before these, and the 5 peoples I work have all been extremely reliable and all paid thousands under sticker price. They give you a long warranty, strong reliability, lots of features, strong AWD System, 8.6 inches of ground clearance, and sharp looks. Sure its not the most advanced compact SUV or the newest design but its proven reliable and still looks good and you can get a fully loaded $29,000.00 top trim one for $24,000.00 with everything with rebates and dealer sales. Price wise our loaded 2016 Outlander Sport GT undercut the comparably equipped Rav 4, Tucson, Sportage, Escape, Encore and Rogue by $3,000.00 to $5,400.00 due to Mitsubishis rebates and dealer discounts. We test drove most of these and it was the best fit for us and we are very happy we purchased it.
K McKenzie I just bought mines 2 days ago as well on Saturday February 24!! I got the Outlander SEL although cuz the cargo space was more since it has a 3rd row seat. I wanted the Eclipse Cross but they only had the ES no SEL model!! But once I got in the Outlanders I liked them more and I have a 2004 Galant ES that still runs great but my son is 15 and will be 16 in 4 months on July 2nd so that’s his car now. He has his drivers permit and will take his test after his bday. They gave me $2500 in rebates and the loyalty rebate for having the Galant. I am very happy with my purchase, they gave it to me with NO MONEY DOWN and my APR is 9.2% and I went in their for an OIL CHANGE!! This car will last me another 15 years just like my Galant has and my Galant will last my son through college so a good 7 more years cuz the car will be 20 years old!!!
I love the Outlander and Outlander sport. My daughter has this 2018 sport and loves it. My husband has a 2017 Outlander and he is very happy with it. No complaints at all from this family.
One of the few small Japanese SUVs still made in Japan. I think the Mazda CX5 is the only other one. According to Consumer Reports its ranked as the most reliable small SUV by their readers.
Nissan Rogue Sport, a direct competitor to the Outlander Sport, also is manufactured in Japan -- for North America, anyway. I understand the European Qashqai (that's what they call it over there) is made in the UK.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
Go to Asia and see how many different model vehicles Mitsubishi manufactures. Including light and heavy trucks, Industrial machinery, etc. So, I am always a bit bemused when see their offerings in N.America...?
That's it? I was expecting a test drive, talk about other stuff....just a 4 minute video to talk about the back seat and how much stuff you could fit in the back😂😂.....i guess that's all the info I needed....i own a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander GT and it is pretty good. I took it all over from road trips to San Francisco, in the middle of the desert off road, and into the mountains with some high altitude drive and without knowing I will be going off road on a side of a mountain to get to a camp site. Plus simple driving to go to work....Mitsubishi is a company people don't look into fully and don't know a lot of benefits that come with owning a Mitsubishi. I would buy this again if I had a choice, but maybe the PHEV Outlander.
Hello I'm thinking about purchasing this vehicle. Had a 2013 Lancer but got into a car accident. My only question is how is the maintenance on this vehicle does anyone can help me out?? But greatly appreciated 🙏🙏

This is a safe value play in the segment. There are other vehicle that dynamically are better. However, Mitsubishi usually can be had with money on the hood. The 2.4L/CVT is competent and proven albeit not the newest in this segment.
TheMirageowner Very well said. We love our 2016 Outlander Sport GT and our 2017 Mirage G4 SE. these Mitsubishis and our ones before have all been extremely reliable and thousands under sticker price. Because they usually don't get to choose the trim level they review. They review what's given to them to review by the manufacturer and don't usually modify it either.
James Henderson probably because a fair share of people wait until the cars hit the pre owned & used market; when a literal few years of depreciation has already boight the price doen to much more affordable levels; even for the fully loaded cars!
Outdated design, but still attractive (IMO) and a very good vehicle. Well-built and dependable. The gremlins have been worked out by now. The 2.4L feels peppy enough and returns great economy for a compact CUV. The transmission is buttery smooth. The comfort is very good. This SEL can be had for around $20k in my area. Serious bargain. You can't touch a comparably equipped Honda or Toyota CUV for that. Easily $5,000 more comparably equipped, if not more. This Mitsubishi also has a fantastic warranty compared to those as well.
This is a great SUV. I think it looks great and I don't think it looks outdated at all. It looks sharp and handles nice and is very reliable. All the bells and whistles are a bonus. I love it.
USFanlovesjiwoo i really liked it until the surging idle and constant clicking of the rear brakes. The squishiness and fade of the brakes I could live with since it's not a car.
Mike Morales Lol isn't this in the same segment as the escape and rav 4? I'm guessing purely based off the size and appearance. Maybe he says what it competes with in the vid, haven't watched it yet. The escape and rav 4 will be much more reliable, better equipped, they're better looking, faster presumably, likely safer as well.
The RAV and Escape are not good looking at all IMO, too plain jane for me. This beats them, hands down. And BTW, Mitz are known for being reliable. Go to the forums and see what actual owners have to say. Oh and the Escape looks like an old lady and soccer mom suv. No thank you.
I like the look but to me it sounds under powered and wonder if they should trade the CVT in for a regular automatic. If I heard the number I think I heard my wife's KIA Rondo has more power that this. And its an 08.
Great review as always. As the comments mostly expressed the vehicle is just very outdated and over-priced to consider as an option in that price range. Given the $29,110 tested priced, it be best for buyers to go with say a CR-V, CX5 or Rav4
The vehicles you listed are NOT in the same category with Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. They are bigger and cost 10-15 K more as you can get this Mitsubishi for 15K with dealer discounts and manual transmission. However, if you like Mitsubishi take a look at its bigger cousin the Outlander it is loaded with features and it would compete well against the cars you listed
I appreciate the mix of old school meets new school on this, I do. And heck, a manual lift gate? Count me in. But Mitsu seems like the ex that just wont stop... keeps trying to keep things going.. when it's clear that it's over.
I think they replaced the side marker blinker lights that are on my 2015 model with that little chrome piece. And I bet that little chrome piece is actually a part of the safety system. Also this car is basically the same car, except for the uglier front. You havn't said it yet and i'm halfway through the video. This car hasn't been meaningfully updated in many years now.
Save your money? The Forester costs thousands more though and is more expensive to maintain. Subaru, Toyota, Honda, all ask way too much $ for their cars now. Mitsu fills that niche of being affordable at the expense of fit and finish, but a reliable drivetrain.
Tom D lol geez im refering to the cars design, they got to make it look less like a 3rd gen honda crv. do you have one or something? Youre defending it strongly.
Not impressive gas mileage "only 28 highway" hell I can average 33 to 35 mpg with my 2016 Subaru Outback premium 2.5.. 175 hp AWD......... paid $26,500. new
The Subaru Outback is not in the same class as this car. You can get this car in the base model for 15K with dealer discounts and a manual transmission. Then you would get to keep your 10-15K that you would save on it in the glove compartment of the Mitsu.
The Outlander PHEV I tested gets almost 90mpg after my weekend testing. 100k warranty with AWD and more room than both, less than 30k with eco rebates. Quicker than I thought too.
i think Mitsubishi costs them 200 dollar to produce this car including shipping i dont know why those buddies dont see what is in the market they are far behind
I don't get who would ever want a car this small. You can't haul any people in the back seats, and the cargo room is minuscule. These SUV's just don't make sense.
I don't often carry back passengers, only a front passenger every now and then. For me, the car size fits me perfect. I don't like big cars anyway, this is a good size balance. I suspect there are a lot of people who like cars of this size and or don't often have back passengers.
This is much more than a mid size sedan. You get enough space behind the back seat for a mid sized dog thus freeing the back seat area and keeping it clean. Up front there is lots of room. With dealer discounts you can get one for 15K just not as loaded as this one
I don’t get why they bother with automobiles. They could put more money into it to produce decent cars and suvs but only like half adding it. I just don’t what they are doing. The 08’ lancer design was nice when it came out and they could have done a lot with it but chose to let it linger without any updates.
I think it looks great, the quality is great and I love the design. People like you think everything is outdated. How many car/suv videos of other brands do you make the same stupid comments. The only comments that matter are from owners of these Mitz vehicles. Oh and guess what, they love them.

We love this too and all the mitz that we own. So much bang for our buck.
My Outlander Sport has been hands down better than all the Toyota's and Honda's I had in the past.
The Eclipse Cross looks amazing.
I must agree with you.

Nice car, for every body who deserve to drive a good medium suv
It must be Throwback Thursday with this 2010 Mitsubishi.
I bought my 2018 OS in 2021. Best car ever...needed a car after my 2003 impala died

Good way to put it. Old but reliable and decent mpg.
Why don’t you guys that review cars ever show the entry level with bottom specs,it would be far more relevant to more people.
Because they usually don't get to choose the trim level they review. They review what's given to them to review by the manufacturer and don't usually modify it either.

Best review!!! Thanks 💪🏽
you can test drive mitsubishi eclipse cross GT 2018
Can you have a review on mitsubishi eclipse cross?
Forgot the discounts....sells as much as a Forester or Crosstrek....
Mitsubishi was partly bought by Nissan recently.
Dave!! I freaking love you and your videos. Keep up the good work. God Bless you sir.
Baruk Távora he's pretty awesome
The last mitsu i owned was a '92 eclipse👌
Beautiful
I've got one as a rental car, the brakes are horrendous and it's idle surges like crazy and it only has 6k miles.
Never had that problem. My brakes work great and no surge problems either. I love this suv.

23 and 28, without a 6 speed and underpowered engine. The resale will suck if gas hits $3.
