I installed a wireless remote for a winch on my dump trailer. Much better than hard wired, and it works were ever I am standing. If I want to watch the dump, I can stand behind the trailer, and if I am in the cab, there is no permanent wiring. It was low cost, so I would recommend it for a dump insert.

Don't bother with the dump trailer remote: costs 10 times as much.Use a winch remote. , Put a diode on each directional wire, then tap before the diode for the solenoid, and after the diode for the pump relay. That way it will not back feed voltage to the other solenoid.
Congrats! Time to make some money. When I had one (back in the early 2000's LOL), I put higher sides and was able to haul crazy amounts of mulch. These things are great and like you said save so much time compared to pitching off debris by hand. You won't be disappointed. 👍
I like it looks nice not going to lie with dump bed insert it way easier and better instead of using a shovel to unload everything someone can break there backs I work on landscaping too and we have two dump trucks.
I'm gonna beat a few ppl. to the punch bye saying to add more wood to the sides. I know you're a well informed & know the warranty specifications that regulate that modification. But, once it's out of warranty, sky's da limit!! Plus with the wood sides on it as is, the cubic volume you can hold compared to the past is no joke!! The stainless option in my opinion is the best option. Also, down the road look into the wireless control option. It's a life saver at the dump. It doesn’t look like it weighs much, which is awesome compared to my 5000lb gooseneck dump trailer when empty. I would save a lot of diesel over a years time. I think this is the solution I need for not having enough drivers to run 2 trucks on small jobs, (one towing the chipper and one towing the dump trailer). I haven’t been willing to buy another tree style dump truck due to the cost and finally being out of debt 😃.I’m definitely calling around for an 8ft version on Monday! Thank you for making the video.
@@mcciaccio It weighs about 1,000lb empty (988 to be exact) and I’ve had zero issues at all with it including coming back down. The stainless is definitely the way to go coming in at about $7k installed.

Yes, however there would be holes left in the bed and the truck frame itself, and for mine personally, I had the controller wired into the cab, so I really wouldn’t want to transfer mine. Of course you wouldn’t have to have the controller in the cab.

@@CalebsPropertyMaintenance I will have to admit I some times forget to look at how old a tree is and that its going to drop a lot of branches. But you learn to look at those Tree's because they are going to cost you time.
@@CalebsPropertyMaintenance Look into a set of Timbren's. Will save you lots of headaches down the road with weight, regardless if its a 2500 or not, you will need them.
