I got a product by buyers called the dumper dog. Similar. I've had it in two different trucks and we take care of it every year we repaint it, they have a tendency to rust out if you don't take care of them cuz it's only 12 gauge steel. So the first application I had was doing mulch delivery and firewood delivery, then the second application was that I added tall sides to it and used it as a chip box dump truck for our tree service.... And currently I have it with a masonry crew, hauling concrete and other debris away from building new sidewalks and patios and such.... It's gotten a lot of use in my company for the past 6 years.....I think I originally paid $2,500 installed and then modifications to it have cost a little bit more money with the welding and fabrication of taller sides on it and such. It just get s reincarnated into something else of usefulness within my company and or moved around from one truck to another.... I would recommend one of these insert dumps to anyone and on a hot day when you're trying to get done and go to the beach nothing beats pushing a button to unload whatever you need to unload....lol

What up, The reason why that is better than a dump truck is You are going to pay more money with your insurance because it is a dump truck. With a pickup truck when the insurance company access for your Vin number it going to shows a pick up truck. Is not a dump truck . So you pay less. Insurance companies don't need to know what you're doing.👍👍

Was just about to sell my long bed F-250. Being in my 40s this will make a big difference as far as reducing my workload.

For the record it weighs about 700-800lb not a ton. I hope thats at least a 3/4 ton truck ... That leaves you about 2000lb capacity in the actual insert before you are overloaded. Helpers in the suspension does not make your truck carry more... it does nothing for the brakes. I use dump inserts as well, have had over a dozen... Currently have a 6 1/2 foot model on my 2500hd and a 8 footer in my 3500 dually. Great units, just have to watch that gvw.

Cool. Yeah my dad had one on his truck when he was doing lawn care. Now I just roll with my trailer.

When using a leaf loader on a tailgate how do you keep the leaves in the bed?

The manufacturer recommend not to exceed the GVWR. For one reason. Brakes can fail, axles can fail etc etc. I have kits to lift the entire bed on my trucks, with boards around. By not having the insert I can loaded it with extra 800 lbs. But good video

I had an EZ-Dumper in a Chevy 3500 SRW. The insert weighs 787lbs empty and has 3 ton cylinder. So payload is around 5,000 lbs. My truck, with the insert was 5800 empty, and my GVWR was 9000. So i had 3k in legal payload. I recommend getting heavier leaf spring when you get one of these. I do masonry and these really are not cut out for that. Much better suited for a landscaper. The floor is only 12 gauge steel so it will dent rather easy. I went back to a regular dump truck.

is the up and down button inside the truck or in the bed?

I'm debating between this & a dump trailer. The bed insert is definitely more convenient but the trailer has a larger capacity
