As I was watching this video the power went out. I wheeled out my big Bluetti and plugged in my refrigerator and my internet and then I finished watching. I think I need a baby Bluetti now!
***Note re: Cycles Rose mentioned this unit offers 2500 cycles that it can be recharged, that however doesn't mean it then is no good. For all of these units regardless of Brand, that rating means 2500 cycles of FULL capacity, after which the Battery Capacity will loose approximately 20% of its original capacity., but will continue to be functional @80% for ages more. (Not withstanding the odd dud or unfortunate mishap, of course) Also, not draining it to the point it shuts down before you recharge it saves a lot of wear n tear on a battery.
The Hubs and I just got our 'Baby Blue". 😀 This is the perfect solution for keeping my insulin cool in an emergency, and to run Cpaps! It was at such a great price point to see whether or not we wanted to go bigger with solar. Iron Phosphate batteries are the way to go moving forward. Thanks also for the BEST explanation and visual aids of how the solar panels work. Also, I've just learned to can over the past year. I have joined a few canning sites, and I recommend your channel ALL THE TIME to learn to can the "right" safe way. I've had to leave a few canning sites that promote "Rogue" canning methods and it makes my heart sink that so many people don't want to follow rules. (Sigh) I JUST LOVE IT when you keep the bloopers in and correct each other! It keeps it fun and keeps it real! Thank you for all your helpful information!
Just happen to rewatch this video tonight. Went to your Amazon store and there it was...$90 coupon! Ive wanted one for awhile. Thanks Pam and Jim for all of the research and hard work that you put into your video's. I'm so greatful! Up next is watching your Harvest Right videos for my next purchase. Sending hugs from Oregon.❤
I purchased this for $239 after you linked it a few weeks ago! I use a CPAP machine and knew an emergency power station was crucial for me to have on hand. After a lot of research I went with this unit and feel very relieved to finally have it. Hoping they have a nice sale soon on the solar panels. Thank you for all the great information. It helped me so much!
I have the bluetti solar panels. They are not designed to withstand rain or harsh conditions. I would suggest the type Pam has for all-weather. The price is not that different after cables, legs, cases… but I’d keep a tiny generator charged always for your application.
Thanks for mentioning the CPAP machine. That was the question running through my mind. My husband uses one & it's so important to be able to have power during outages. Please let us all know how many hours you can run your CPAP off of one littke blue charge.
Thanks for this wonderful review. TIP that might be helpful: tie a little twist tie around the handle at the indent, which will let you pull it up easily.
I just purchased a bluetti on black Friday. Couldn't afford the panels yet but soon. I almost bought the eco flow, but alot of purchasers we not happy campers. After seeing the video, you make me feel confident that I made the right purchase. Thank you so much.
Thanks for making this technology simple to understand for your viewers Pam ! You are an excellent teacher and human being, Jim is lucky to have you…and you him!!! The audio is perfect, if you want to disguise your microphone, maybe a few rhinestones!!!! It would look like jewelry!!!!! I have Bluetti AC 300 with extra batteries …..and it will last the rest of my lifetime!
FYI: most things will run on the "dirtier" waveform generated by modified sine wave inverters, but some sensitive medical equipment needs the clean power provided by a pure sine wave inverter. Also, compressors run cooler on pure sine wave power so refrigerators, freezers, a/c units, and anything else with a compressor will run best on pure sine wave inverters. Also, I've found that my NuWave induction hotplate will run on pure sine wave power but it will not run on modified sine wave. Enjoy your new unit.
Thanks for the additional information, sure helps build our knowledge base. So helpful to know what to look for not to mention it's overwhelming for most of us and a big decision.
Thank you for reloading this video! Good information in a language I can understand. Jim, I hope your leg is better. Please stay safe and sending hugs to you both 💜🙏🤗
I bought a small solar generator (not a Bluetti) a couple of years ago to have in case the power was out for an extended period of time during the summer. I went through Katrina and, even though I had gas for my generator for a couple of days, I didn't realize that there would be no way to get gas with no power! Anyway, my main use for this small one will be to be able to run window air conditioners or fans (heaters if needed during our brief winters). And of course, to charge small electronics and kitchen appliances. I'm thinking that now I may need to get a second one. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jim for letting me know it was up. I will have to show my husband tom. I don't understand it all but will have to research, thanks again for all you 2 do!
Thank u so much for these videos. In the spring we’re heading to Wyoming and building our off grid home in a Amish community. We were trying to decide how to have some electricity as it’s not available out there… this Bluetti company is going to be the trick for us! It’s like solar for dummies and we can have multiple of there machines different sizes for our needs! thank u
Can you use the bluetti while it is charging in the sun. Thank you for having great videos. I had no ideal what to look up . Love you and Jim's help. Keep the videos coming!
It would be really nice having a small one like this. Our power goes off lots and stays off sometimes for days, so we do have three generators…cause one is never enough 🤣 thank you for all the info 🇨🇦💕
Love it! I have a little TOGO solar power unit (with a waterproof 120 Watt panel)…about 650 watts, it weighs 18 pounds so it is a little heavy for some older friends in my 55 plus community. I am tempted to buy baby blue to join big mama/papa blue. We love the little TOGO guy we have as we can set it on the center console of our twin recliner and plug that in, direct charge cell phones on top, turn on emergency lights in the handle or side, plug in lamps and a TV…amazing convenience. I am interested in a low wattage mini refrigerator, electric cooking equipment, ice machine, AC/heat mini split system or standalone AC or heater on your Amazon store. I live in the tropics (south Florida) so cooling in power outages is my biggest issue. Thanks for all your interesting and helpful videos.😊
Yes, I found that the larger weigh between 50-60 pounds and are difficult to lug around by hand. It sounds like you have done your research on power stations and know what want.
These little power stations with the pure sine wave, is the ONLY thing you want to use to Charge your laptops, tablets etc. These would be great for fans, CPAP machines etc. during the recent Hurricane. Here in Florida, I'm losing power quite often, so a couple of these for bedroom fans would be a life saver! Thanks for the review!
I bought one of these after your post the other day and so far I’ve tried it on a few appliances. It successfully runs my mockmill 100, kitchenaid mixer, ank mixer, the gas fireplace fan, a large patton fan. I got a kick out of walking around holding the fan in one hand and the power bank in the other. I actually used it to power my digital piano, which greatly amused me for some reason haha. So far it seems very nice!
I adore you, Pam. Will you do a video on ways to connect a generator indoors with solar panels outdoors so you don't have to run extensions through a window? Emphasize versatility, like if you want to move things around later. Also, do another video on how to evaluate things like space heaters that might work with Baby Blue. I've got DC Vornado fans I know would... I wonder if building a small shed to house survival gear like sun oven, tents, etc.,with a roof at the proper pitch for solar would be a good idea. I love everything y'all do!
I bought my Grecell T-300 mostly to charge my phone and tablet, and also to power a few lights for my appartment. I bought 3w led light bulbs which provide 60w equivalent brightness and will run for approx 64 hrs. Will also power smaller wattage devices if necessary. Good to have when the power goes down.
Thank you so much for sharing information on the Bluetti EB3A! After watching your video, I reviewed "other brands" I had researched, but none came close to the features of the Bluetti. I was also in need of solar panels, the combined cost of both was $598.00 . However, I am oh so happy that Amazon had a package deal of the EB3A and solar panel for $599.00 plus a $100.00 coupon!!!! Can't wait for it's arrival! Thanks again and God bless!
I just found your channel 😁 I have a small jackery in case it's needed, I sleep with a c-pap. I'm going to check out your canning videos, I just posted one today.
I just bought of same make and similar features. I bought mine as a battery backup for my c-pap machine. I can plug it into ac outlet and if the power goes off the bluetti will automatically take over.
Just got one! I live alone, in an apartment, and looking for a discreet, portable (bug out bag, if i have to leave), solar panel. I live in OR, so we can have months with no sun, so there's that! There are some pretty expensive one's, my budget is very limited, so no, not yet. Looking fwd to your next video on this! I love your channel and have learned so much! Very high E.A.T. Thank you!
I got one for my birthday last month because I need this device with solar panels. It is expensive but I think worth it. Wish I could get a larger capacity but this cannot be added on like the other models. I bought MANY lead-acid battery devices in the past. They sit in my garage because the lead-acid batteries have a relatively short life. This is device MUCH better than lead/acid types.
Do you also have a battery backup for you home computers and such? Nice to have them plugged into one at all times in case of power outages so you don't lose any of your work. They can also be used to charge phones and use other appliances in case of emergencies.
Thank you so much. We purchased our big blue ready and waiting for it To arrive. Our panels are here hundred watt each. I hope that it showed that I purchased them through your Amazon store so that you will get the benefit. You are an excellent teacher and I am learning so much. Have a blessed day
I believe that my EcoFlow delta pro (with wheels) has 6000 cycles- ALL of the other EcoFlow drop off dramatically- it’s big panels are weather resistant but I did buy solar extension leads in order that the ‘beast’ can stay safe inside. My diesel generator was difficult to find it’s 6500watt WITH smoothing action. Just bought a small Jackery for CPAP
Thank you. I feel confident when making purchases because we all here can feel your sincerity, thank you. I am going to find the big Bluetti video so I can ask some questions..thank you.
I've seen you demonstrate that bright light a couple of times. It looks valuable but I haven't been able to catch what make and model. Please provide this information. Thank you.
Thanks for telling us about the settings. Although it is odd I can get into other Amazon stores if other people I follow. I really appreciate the reviews on these solar power sources!
Thank you! TH-cam changed some things again, grrrr. Where can I find the text you normally put below a video now? I am on windows pc. The grey box does not show that (also not under show more). I am looking for your Amazon story for example.
All of the text is in the Description section now. The address should be in the box below the Description. I am on a Windows PC also. The address is roseredhomestead.com Jim
I Purchased the big bluetti during prime days. I don’t camp but what would be the reason to have a small one? I could keep the big one in my home on the cart to use, which I will probably have to get the other one now. I do like that it’s small and I would be able to carry it around, but what are some of the other comparisons and differences between the two sizes? I am trying to talk myself into it, can you tell?
mrs rose red i know this isnt a canning video but i watch as many as i can find i know you know what your talking about cause you test things which i like i was given some cans of vegs not jars but cans they are in date until 2023 the tops are starting to bulge up could this be botulism in these cans of tomaoes
@@karenreneelyles261 - If the cause of your power outage was an Electromagnetic Pulse (could be from solar flare, nuclear explosion, etc.) taking out the electrical grid, then the EMP could also destroy any electrical equipment that wasn’t in a protective container / faraday cage. There is a real good chance the EMP would also take out your solar setup (if you have one), so maybe this device is not a solution for such a doomsday scenario. Looks like a decent device for more mundane short-term emergency scenarios, though.
I have to admit I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. On camera it's just not a big deal, we are all looking at your beautiful face not that thing.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your video on this subject! We need C-Pap machines and now I understand how to go about making sure I buy something that will work. I am curious on how long one C-Pap might run on this 600 Watt unit? Or could I hope for 2, units to run. I tell you for sure I will get these things protected from EMP damage! Thanks again so much!
I communicated with a lady who actually has a 500 watt unit and she used hers for a 3 day camping trip fo her CPAP machine and she told me that it lasted the entire trip without recharging it. BUT she turned off the humidifier the entire time. The manufacturer of your machine can tell you how to turn off the humidifier.
I'm wondering what you recommend for pre-charging the unit, in order to keep it on stand-by for emergencies? I just ordered this exact unit after watching your previous video! Thankyou for all you do Pam & Jim! 🥰👌🙏
No, the solar panels were a separate purchase. They are listed in our store. Also, here is our video on how I set them up with our big Bluetti. th-cam.com/video/mCpCIX7p7aM/w-d-xo.html
I’m not finding your Amazon link on this video to get the Bluetti with discount. Anyone else not seeing it? I did what I usually do to find it but no links.
Great video. I am brand new with this and all the terms (other than changing a 60 or 100 W lightbulb). QUESTION: I have a 5 cu ft.³ freezer. Start up Amps/Watts= 6.6/759. Running Amps/Watts = 1.7/195.5. I am assuming that when I first plug it in there is a surge of 759 W and then after a little while it runs at 195.5 W - right? If so, can this 600 W eb3a handle a 759 surge? (Online for the eb3a says 600 W and a 1200W surge so does that mean when I initially plug the freezer in I can safely go up to 1200 W? THANK YOU. (Also, I’m glad you will be providing the information on the carts in a future video because I looked at Amazon and they had a lot of carts but I could not find the little one that you showed on a previous video.)

Tie a loop of ribbon around the handle to help lift it out.

You could place a Velcro Cable strip around the handle to make a easy tab to get hold of to lift the handle. Might even use it to hold a cable .

As for the handle.....wrap a ribbon or other something around the handle so you can pull it up when needed.
And set it in a large rolling plant cart (flat and round ). A small power station should sit well on it!

mrs rose red i know this isnt a canning video but i watch as many as i can find i know you know what your talking about cause you test things which i like i was given some cans of vegs not jars but cans they are in date until 2023 the tops are starting to bulge up could this be botulism in these cans of tomaoes
Throw them away. Jim
My Bluetti AC200MAX says 3,500+ Life Cycles to 80%
Are you storing this in an EMP proof bag ?
(Thanks for all the information!)
What the point in storing in a EMP proof bag?
@@karenreneelyles261 - If the cause of your power outage was an Electromagnetic Pulse (could be from solar flare, nuclear explosion, etc.) taking out the electrical grid, then the EMP could also destroy any electrical equipment that wasn’t in a protective container / faraday cage. There is a real good chance the EMP would also take out your solar setup (if you have one), so maybe this device is not a solution for such a doomsday scenario. Looks like a decent device for more mundane short-term emergency scenarios, though.
I have to admit I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. On camera it's just not a big deal, we are all looking at your beautiful face not that thing.
jMo: That is a very kind complement for Pam. Jim
@@malindafoster5719 thank you!
I'm wondering what you recommend for pre-charging the unit, in order to keep it on stand-by for emergencies? I just ordered this exact unit after watching your previous video!
Thankyou for all you do Pam & Jim! 🥰👌🙏
Yes, see above. Jim
Does the baby Blue come with a solar array? I did not see it listed in your store?
No, the solar panels were a separate purchase. They are listed in our store. Also, here is our video on how I set them up with our big Bluetti. th-cam.com/video/mCpCIX7p7aM/w-d-xo.html
Do you have to throw away the bluetti after it charges 2500 times? Or can you buy a replacement battery?
I'm looking for something that will run a full size refrigerator.
Yes, your new microphone sounds wonderful! Thank you.
Can you connect two of these together?
Yes, Jim
What happens after you've charged it 2500 times? Will it still work after that?
Do you recommend the protection plan and if you do which one?
What is the link to your Amazon Store?
Great sourdough pancakes!!
Will this run a space heater
I’m not finding your Amazon link on this video to get the Bluetti with discount. Anyone else not seeing it? I did what I usually do to find it but no links.
I assume she forgot to add the link. If you look at some of her other recent videos you will find it. That's what I had to do.
Isn’t there still a risk of fire with this type of lithium battery? How has that influenced your use and storage for these batteries? Thanks.
I have not seen that information, but I will look and see. Jim
