22 now i still play with ball bearings.
I had 4/ 12 inch chrome steel balls, they weighed over 100 lbs each. Got them for a customer who thought he could drill a hole through the to rebuild a very large ball valve... at 80 Rockwell ..you would need a laser to drill them and once he figured that out he stiffed me with them I held on to them for years... finally sold them for scrap. I often wondered how big the sling shot would have to be.....

Not sure if now, 20 years back the NBC and Timken bearing were very smooth if fitted for the motorcycles

I bought a used Spherical roller bearing online auction for $60 from the photo they had It looked like it was not more than 12 inches OD, and went to pick it up was suprised that it is 35 inches OD 19 inches ID 12 inches wide and weighed 1900 lbs !

What I wouldn't give for a few Timken bearings made in the USA, to replace al the junk imports. I can't find a decent boat bearing anymore, and carry a complete hub with all the bearings and seals, any time I leave home with my boat. I used to go 10 years without even checking my bearings. Now I'm lucky to get a year out of them. I've taken my hubs and machined them back so I can put 2 seals in the hubs, because seals are just as bad as bearings now days.

Just bought 2 new 1/7/16" USA Dodge bearings on the bay for 42$. List is more like 80 each.
These days not easy to find new products made here in the USA :(
