My jaw dropped when I saw this headline. I’ve heard of people losing $50-60K…but one MILLION?!
WOW 😮
@xana5649 unreal! 😳
A friend I know lost 900k to Bernie Madoff. Really messed his life up
@@DanMilroy-v3z I look at that as a little different. They were making what seemed like a legitimate investment, not wiring money to a complete stranger overseas.
THE BIGGER THEY ARE, THE HARDER THEY FALL!!!!!
@@DanMilroy-v3zwow that’s sad.i thought that the government were returning some of the money
My heart goes out to her.
However, she kept sending the scammer money, because the scammer kept promising her huge returns.
Her greed, and gullibility, was her undoing.
It's not greed to want love and to want to feel valued. We're hardwired to need others from birth. Human apex predators exploit our genetics. We must explain to people what's going on so they better defend themselves. Else it'll be a bloodbath.
Been there before. Different circumstances, but the same outcome!
Two greedy hoarders meet
she is already old why she needs more money with 1 million she could have lived comfortably rest of her life
She said she prayed about it. Who in the Hell was she praying to that told her to wire a million dollars to a stranger so he could repair his oil rig. She basically just helped someone in East India retire in comfort.
Common Sense seems to be seriously missing in our world today. How can you even be attracted to losers that ask you for money? Let alone fall for them? Clearly you are just a scammer’s ATM online or IRL……🙄
Hell yeah it's missing, look at how many people want to vote for Kamala Harris
She's destroying the country now, she gets in its over for all of us
Right. I would look at someone sideways if they even asked me for $20, let alone $20,000 or a million. This woman is a phenomenal loser.
*VAULT GUARD EXPERT* this is SO GOOD!!! I have such disdain for people who lack empathy for hardworking individuals. I LOVE what you said- there's no room for hate, but that doesn't mean you have to like them either. I am SO GLAD you showed up just in time to return the funds to their account.
This is why I watch your videos, and I couldn't admire what you do more. Thank you for protecting innocent people. Thank you for reporting criminals.
Thank you for doing what all of us would do if we could. Keep fighting! Much love!!!
50 years of work gone with one bad decision.....
Actually it seems a whole string of bad decisions, which makes it kinda worse.
Damn, when you put it that way, it REALLY hits.
Assuming these people earned their money is usually where the failure lies. They spent the money they earned long ago. All of their money is coming from younger generations, taken by force.
Actually, a series of bad decisions.

Yes she prayed and didn't listen to God either, in my opinion.
Lol selfish lady should have given the money to her kids, and now they want to blame the bank girl for it haha! 😂
she said she prayed on it so JC gave the green light to send the money
It was her money and she could do whatever she wanted with it. Which she did. She gave it to a scammer.

Some people will be frugal all their lives, yet let their guard down and send off massive amounts of money.
Agree
You're too kind. GREED is more of a fitting word here, not "frugal". She mentioned at 0:20 that her kids had no idea she even had that kind of money. Not wanting to help her own kids, but instead giving IT ALL 😳 to an imaginary boyfriend who promised her $$$ in return is pure GREED, PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
@@VMR8648 Yes, that is part two of their faulty thinking. Despite having a healthy nest egg, they are lured by the idea of making even more money. And not small gains, but a "big score". Greed is their undoing.
@@VMR8648 If you hate your kids that badly, then maybe look in the mirror. I guess the stranger seemed like a better person than the children she raised.
Most of them spent all the money they earned long ago. The money they get now is taken from younger generations by force.
She's the same person who'd screech if the bank asked her why she is withdrawing her money.
This is why banks can't cover scams. Scams are approved by the customer. Fraud/theft is different. Boomer of the day.
This guy does more to prevent and stop online scammers than the FBI. not only are you closing the way for scammers, but also educating the public and making them aware. Well done *VAULT GUARD EXPERT* .
We really can't feel sorry for these people anymore. I mean who the heck sends $1M. These guys couldn't get $50 out of me .. come on. Even if I dated someone, they wouldn't get access to my money. I mean who the heck sends money to someone they have never met. smh. I bet the scammers are blown away how stupid people really are. Very sad, scammers are winning, no reason for them to stop.
Scammers can only exist because there's a suckr born every minute.
We have to be on guard 24/7/365 against 1,000 scammers. The scammers only need to get lucky occasionally to win big.
Oh my goodness! Going broke over a stranger she never met! That's crazy!!!
So now she's talking to a news channel, but she wouldnt' talk to her children beforehand??
I appreciate the knowledge you dropped on us. As someone curious about recovery, I like that you show tools you use to investigate a company before coming to a decision. Older women, I'm sorry but don't get scammed by thinking that some man is head over heels in love with you! Get real! Enjoy the final chapters in your life by keeping your money in your bank. A man who truly loves you will never ask you for money at any age.
‼️
Sadly, when we get older, we lose rational thinking skills. What is worse is that people deny that it has happened to them and refuse to hand over their finances to their children to help them.
With some children the scammer would take better care of them.
I'm older than this greedy moron and I haven't lost my rational thinking skills. She never had any and what's more she essentially lied to her children for years. She's a greedy moron who got her just desserts.
Not everyone loses rational thought when they get older.

@@elipotter369 No, not all, but many do. This woman sounds very rational, but she obviously fell for the scam. There is a reason why they target the elderly.
@@alexalex13131 I was thinking the same thing. I know at least a couple of elderly people who were wiped out by their own kin. My elderly aunt's grandson (my 2nd cousin) convinced her to sign over her house to him, whereupon he promptly turned around and tried to kick her out. His mother (my aunt's daughter) had to take her own son to court to undo the deal. Unfortunately, we have to be vigilant 24/7, because ANYBODY can prey on us.
