Recently a scam scheme using bizum came out (at least here in Spain) in which people were tricked into sending money to other numbers, and then they'd get more money. Thing is, they had in implemented so A would send money to B and then receive (more) money from C, with A, B, and C being victims in different stages of the scam. Since it worked the first few times, people trusted the scammer and then went in big. If the victim got suspicious early enough, they could retire with a profit, but, since that money came from another victim, you could end up getting prosecuted for it.

If a beautiful woman randomly messages you about she’s interested in you , that should send warning signals in your brain, if not you need to get your head examined. 😊 if it sounds to good to be true , it probably is …
When I'm asked by 'homeless people' in the street for money, I reply: ' I have no cash but I'll buy you a coffee and a doughtnut?' So far all, but one (but rather reluctantly), have told me: 'I only want money'. Two told me to 'F* off!' I can only imagine why they only want money.
Responding is never a good idea. If you ever click on a link they send you're sure to have your identity taken. Not that I believe you. though it sounds funny to beat them at their own game.

So many people have been taken advantage of by this scam, there are news stories all over YT about it, but what's sad are the people being taken advantage of, and they know it. I know two people, one a relative and one a work acquaintance who were sending money overseas to help women "with their education". Both were told they were getting scammed and both admitted they knew that was true but they were lonely, so they kept sending money just to maintain the connection to that person. The relative stopped sending money, but I don't know if the acquaintance did.
Remember guys, if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. No woman will send you her pics upfront. Always be on the lookout for contradictions and inconsistencies in their stories. Remember, they are "grooming" several potential victims so they WILL get around to asking for money pretty soon - a day or two at the most. A lot of their pictures will appear either professionally shot or the other extreme - like they were taken with a 2012 phone camera. These are just some of the first red flags to look out for.
The sad truth is, no matter how many people see this, when "she" reaches out to them, they'll still fall for it. "I know I watched a video warning me about this exact woman and this exact situation, but this is a real woman, who really likes me!"
Everyone with a job is a scammer or part of a scam to some extent. Corporations don't invest billions into marketing, sales, and planned obsolescence just to get you to pay more for less. Insurance companies would be broke if people were paid what they were promised. In the end, it's just money and capitalism, it's all made up. There are only winners and losers, no right or wrong; and some people will always end up with the short end of the stick.
Admirable work, *VortexTrace* - I’m delighted to see you actively engaging in the battle against these individuals of questionable character. It is of utmost importance that we do all we can to protect the elderly and the general public from these repugnant scammers! Well done, my friend!! You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for your commitment to our safety.
I’ve encountered someone like this before. I even have a record of our entire conversation. In the end, she sent me a link, clearly trying to get me to invest. It’s usually easy to tell when a woman’s approach is genuinely about talking about the future, flirting, or if she’s just giving herself away too easily.
Bless your heart *Vortextrace* . Its so sad how the scammers prey on the elderly and the uninformed public. Bless you and all others who fight against these crimes. It’s horrible how mainstream media is not doing the right thing by shining light on these things to help the public.
You also will meet potential honeylovers on those dating app. Searching for a victim. They generally take a good looking member of the gang, arrange some dates that will go well, and then the trap will close on the victim. You can google those affairs for the few that where already caught : grooming gang uk, nth room korea.
The weird use of language ought to be a major red flag for people, right off the bat! Also, someone as good looking as the people in the stolen photos, would never have any need trying to find love online. I cannot understand how so many people fall for these kinds of scams. 🤦🏼♀
One of the dangers of AI … AI-generated beautiful women whose photos can’t be found online, so appear to be “real”, combined with AI-enhanced, “standardized” English that removes some of the telltale marks (odd phrasing and vocabulary choices) of typical scammer-speak … those stories will be a whole new generation of scam victims in two or three years tops.

If somebody actually read the first few messages, including "prepare me a small gift", and fell for this scam, they'd have to be almost subhuman in intellect.
I think that's deliberate. If the scammers start off with something obvious then whoever falls for it will be easy prey....kind of a way of filtering out the normal intelligence people who won't end up sending money so the scammers don't waste time on them.
I see your point but rather disagree. If someone is in desperate need of human company, let alone a romantic one, they will see but ignore all these red flags - and fall for it.
@joshs3916 Being naive is not the only factor of people falling victims of scams, Anybody can fall for a scam if they happen to be at the wrong place, the wrong time, the wrong state of mind, or reached at a moment of vulnerability such as if they are being rushed. Scammers use social engineering techniques to manipulate their victims. The proper approach is to not look at scam victims as nieve , but scammers as greedy manipulative criminals.
Yep, after 2 years of being alone, I installed the "Russian Tinder" (Mamba) a few weeks ago. 4 out of 5 matches are scams =) Pretty women who are the first to start a conversation and immediately block me after my message that I am not interested in crypto and a few hours later the accounts are also deleted but new ones appear every day, the same pictures, the same names...
@@TheDecimusic They are aware but to them they are just another account. More accounts means better numbers to attract more investors, more data to sell and more revenue if you have to pay to join the site.
This is a very informative clip. I never got that that far with those people and was loosing interest or was blocked sooner than that. I have always been curious about how they eventually scam others. I appreciate Joe doing this investigation
It's worth mentioning that not all scammers are doing it willingly. Some of the people on the other end are victims of scams themselves who are imprisoned and forced to run the scams, those that refuse get severe beatings and some even die. I only know this because I watched a documentary where a man wanted to try and stop the scammers who were using his IG photos to scam women.
The video does address the fact that not all are willing participants. He even asked if “Jessica” was in Cambodia because there’s a huge ring of Chinese scammers in Cambodia forcing other Chinese people to perform these scams. My esthetician is Cambodian and her sister still lives there and works for a Chinese gang. It’s sick and twisted
What are we supposed to do with this information? Feel sorry for the scammers because some stories "claim" some scammers are just slaves? Why would a slave or a captive be given means to communicate with the outside world like that? It doesn't make sense nor does it change the situation. It's propaganda to lessen the negative feelings.
@@SynthiaVanwell, it's another reason that screaming at the scammer isn't useful. Unfortunately, all we can do is ignore them. Block the communication if possible.
@@EmreErcan-utopiano Looks like it contained the journalist's personal information, which could be used by criminals for identity theft at a later date. This gang might use it themselves or sell the data to other criminals. It's always dangerous for amateurs to dabble in scambaiting. My elderly parents have an elderly single friend who is being butchered. They and all her friends warned her that the online romance was a scam, but instead she cut ties with her real friends to bankrupt herself with this scammer. Once fooled, many will double-down instead of admitting to themselves or others that they were fools.
The real annoying thing is that if you report a scammer to FB, with clearly someone using friends account they’ve piggy backed on, and report it’s blatantly a scammer impersonating my friend, they don’t do anything. I reported someone recently 4 times and their profile and activity still remains. If you run an online organisation (eg FB, X, YT, Instagram etc) surely there is some central ombudsman and if you dilly dally, and don’t remove these accounts with obvious proof they are scammer, you should be hugely fined. It’s your platform and you should have some responsibility for what appears on it. Safely, both love and greed can weaken peoples senses, but that doesn’t detract from the evil s**ts that steal innocent peoples hard earned cash, as they are too bone idle to work themselves.
Yeah. Facebook does a terrible job at policing anything. They should be ashamed of themselves. The ridiculous accounts/advertisements using sex and lies to sell things should put FB owners in prison in my opinion.
I had an uncle who sent £1000's abroad to scammers, he was too trusting and believed all their broken legs, car accident, mom dying stories... Told him repeatedly they were lying, but down the post office he would go every other week to send them cash...
@ China has the great firewall blocks any outbound traffic. No Google, IG, Facebook, Etc would work in China. Chinese scam call center usually scam only Chinese because English language barrier. This BBC news certainly failed to do homework
Instagram is as guilty as the scammer, being the host allows these crooks the platform to operate. Instagram should be liable for these scams and refund the victim for any losses.

Do you make much money out of it? 😂

No attractive women will message men like you first. Look inwards instead of at red flags.

The scary thing that people actually fall fall for this
there would be no reason to fall into this scam if the economy was indeed alright.
