Can you please share the difference for each park of Han River? (Ttukseom, Banpo etc) I really want to see which park is the best to go 🙏 Thank you in advance!!
Thanks. It explained a lot we didn’t understand. What happens if I’m over one hour and would like to extend ? I have to find a station, return it and the unlock it again?
May I ask, how can foreigners who don’t have Korean local phone number rent bikes? Just download the app, and click foreigner and can proceed? Can I rent a bike that has 3 wheels OR the type of bikes that allow 1 rider + 1 passenger OR scooter. Could you answer that please?
In Busan they had bikes from the company 'GCOO'. I looked it up but I couldn't download the app because of either 1) there is no android version of the app or 2) it noticed that my phone is non-domestic and therefor does not provide service. And afterwards in Seoul id din't even try.
Some of the apps are not allowed in non-domestic phone like you have said. :( But Ttareungi works well! Hope you can try it when you come back later. :)
Really important!!! Keep in mind that most, if not all, EU DEBIT cards will not work at all with the app due to their security measures. We lost half a day trying to do this in Seoul. The Korean banking system is based on the US model, so it will always prefer CREDIT cards. EU has too many fraud protection systems, so you will get a lot of rejections overall from apps and random shops when using a debit card 😢
You need to allow international transactions for your EU cards. I had the same problem with my cards, debit VISA and credit Mastercard. I had to go into my banking app, select the card and go into the settings, then make sure that International transactions are allowed. You should do this before travelling to South Korea (or anywhere outside the EU). After doing that, I had no problem using my cards. It's also a good idea to contact your bank by mail or within your banking app and tell them that you will be using your card abroad, just to make sure that your bank doesn't flag your cards as sus and block them, because that can ruin your vacation. Though, even when you've unlocked your cards for international use, it's true that in some place (mostly fancy restaurants for some reason) you still will have problems paying with your card, so keep that in mind and have some cash on you.
@sevmato already did that with the card beforehand and called again during my trip. As i mentioned, if the app or shop was an unknown or not that popular company I was not allowed to do any payments at all no matter the banks I used. Payments at combini stores or in big malls and some restaurants had no problems going through.
Thank you for the video, you have explained this very well. I will definitely rent a bicycle when I visit Seoul in May.
Thanks for this! I downloaded the app. I'll rent a bike and go around the Yeouido Park for my last day. Then have some Ramen and just chill.

And what if it took me 10 Minutes too long? Happened to me yesterday. Everything turned Korean and I gave up - very frustrating.
Thanks ❤
Does the Ttareungi come with a child seat?

Oh yeah. I was in the same shoe couple of times using a credit card from the states! Some of the small restaurants wouldn't accept the card :(
The app works so bad
