  • It’s a well known fact that most pattern companies provide very limited sizing information on their patterns. Sewers are asked to choose their pattern size using three main body measurements; bust, waist and hip girth. The assumption is that all of your measurements will land within one size and the choice would be easy. For some of us it is, but what are we to do if our measurements land on two or three size possibilities?
Today I’m going to give you three tips that will help you make a definitive pattern size choice.

Thank you so much for 'the perfect fit guide'. I have just downloaded it so haven't fully read it yet, but it looks so comprehensive. Thank you again for your free resource. 😊

Thank you so much for the Perfect fit guide & measuring sheets. I have a question concerning choosing your pattern size. If I understand correctly, in choosing a pattern for B cup size when mine is a D cup & my high bust is 40 a size 20 bust cup is 42 , the high bust of that size would be 40 this would work better for me in the bust, waist & hip but since I have a very narrow back a size 18 which has a back width of 16 would require a smaller adjustment since mine is 14.25. I’m kinda stumped in deciding which size to choose. Any advice, thank you.

Awesome video. If a person was smaller than a b cup for a b cup pattern would that require a small bust adjustment?
