Changed Glow plugs and had still the same problem until I changed Glow Plug module.

Best to unclip the harness connectors before removing the module from the engine block as this holds it securely whilst unclipping the connectors.😉👍

It wasn't that easy to reach it that's why I did this way.

Is it any problem to ignore this? In Ireland it rarely goes below -4/-5°c in winter but my module is finished and have some smoke and rough idle for maybe 5 seconds on first start of the day. Should be fine to leave it for a while?

Had the same issue. Replaced module and start as it should. Sure you can drive, it's just the cold start.

My does this But SUPER slow start. Only -1. Like Today was slowest ever, took about 20-30 secounds, But changing plugs/that module + oil change (pretty Old oil have been lazy…) would solove the problem you think? ”BMW E60 530d 2006”

I have changed plugs and module. But most often it's just because of module failure. Common issue on E60

Same story here, starts rough, idles like a clapped out muscle car and puffs white smoke when first started and it's cold outside. Otherwise it's fine and there are no codes...
