Can't wait for you to rebuild the engine. It is going to help me so much because I took apart the engine when I was 13 with my dad and I am now 20. I am going to start soon so hopefully I can see some videos come out.
A whole lotta life got in the way for me man. I’m doing an engine rebuild on a VG30 that I’m making a video on just because it’d be stupid not to record it. Since the last video I posted my 370Z got totaled and I bought another truck and the motor failed and all this crap happened. But I’m on the tail end of finishing the engine rebuild and when I’m done with that it’ll be finally time to put the KLX back together. The next video will be the engine build. I’m trying to hurry it up and I appreciate your comment man 🤙
i have been waiting for the klx rebuild hope you get on it soon i have a klx 250d same as your engine and i have problems starting it up i had the top end rebuilt but not done as good and i have wiring harness problems so i am hopping to watch your rebuild to get a vast knowledge on the engine and the wiring harness.... my fingers are crossed and bell icon is on
I’m pleasantly surprised to find that my content may actually be useful to some people in the real world. I will take your comment into consideration and try to get back to the KLX sooner than winter 👍
I’m currently working on locating a shop that provides vapor honing as a service. I want to get the engine cases vapor honed and I plan on painting the various covers. I believe there’s a shop near me that does vapor honing but they have yet to answer my calls or emails. After I figure that out I just have to either buy a new crankshaft for $800 or get a rebuild kit off of eBay and find a shop that can rebuild it. This would be going much more efficiently if I hadn’t moved two months ago. I still have to move my whole workshop to the new house. Oh, and, also, I spent last year working tirelessly on a 1992 Nissan Hardbody. I rebuilt the engine and the front suspension. I actually have a video for the engine rebuild 99% complete. I wanted to film an outro driving the truck somewhere scenic or something but there are kinks I’m still having to work out and so it’s not really road ready. I’m debating on just releasing that video without worrying about the cool outro. Anyways, I appreciate your follow up man! It’s really cool to know that I’ve got an idea that people actually care about, and I hope you’re doing well also! Your comment inspires and motivates me to keep going and, honestly, I needed that!
Very impressed with how clean the inside of your engine is. I just got a 2007 KLX300R and would like to know how often you change your oil, and what type and weight oil you use? My goal would be to have an engine as clean as yours.
I used Kawasaki 10W40 stuff from my local motorsports dealer. I didn’t actually have a routine oil change schedule, I just tinkered with the bike so much that changing oil was a pretty regular thing and so I didn’t worry about it. Hopefully you’ll have as much like as I do!
@@NoName-jk4xh I am very close to having all the parts for the engine, but I am unfortunately not currently able to afford the last two yet. It will definitely happen, I just have to wait until I can afford it.
@@MMorais892 I actually do not know. The hour meter wasn’t working when I bought it and the PO didn’t give me an exact number. I probably put 3-5000 miles on it.
@@ghettorat6814 I did end up just ordering all of them separately from an OEM dealer. It was either kawasakipartshouse.com or revzilla.com. It is a bit of a pain in the ass to have to order all of them and make sure you don’t get any duplicates but I couldn’t find a kit either.
I’ve currently got the engine cases at a shop where they’re going to finalize some things with the engine and vapor hone the cases. I’ve not worked with this shop before and I don’t know what their turnaround typically looks like, but hopefully I’ll have the parts back within a few weeks. The next video will be the complete engine rebuild. I already have all the parts for the engine, and I plan on doing as much as I can to finish this project this year. As long as I can afford it that quickly, at least.
@@FURFEELINGS_3 I’ll definitely make it a point to show the processes, specifications, tolerances, etc. so that it can serve as a how-to guide for these engines. I ordered all the parts about a year and a half ago or so so I won’t be able to find the emails of pricing and stuff. Depending on how long the video ends up being, I may be able to work in a price breakdown of what it costed, though. I’ll keep it in mind for ya!
I haven’t been able to find a worthwhile rebuild kit for the A5. I just went on kawasakipartshouse.com and revzilla.com and handpicked all of my parts. It is a small pain in the ass. There are also other OEM parts suppliers, I just chose to go with those two since I’d had good experiences with them in the past.
From me these will be the only disassembly videos I will make. Engine assembly videos will be on the way sooner than later, hopefully. These projects cost a good bit of money but I’m graduating college next month and will hopefully be able to get a job that better funds my projects. That is the goal. Next video will be about modifying my 370Z, I’m going to try and have that released by the end of the year.

Very useful, I have to rebuild my engine too. Thanks
good work man, I hope you complete the rest of the engine rebuild!

Exploded parts diagrams, how do we get those printed LARGER to make sure every small part is in place?

Great videos. I'm about to rebuild a 98 klx 300r. Were you able to find a transmission bearing kit? I've looked everywhere and haven't found one.
Are you referring to the collar on the output shaft or the crankcase bearings?
@Spencer Slaughter all of the crankcase bearings. I can get them from the oem diagram and order them separately. It's easier in a kit.

Do you have any idea what kind of play the idle spur gear should have?
As of right now, I do not know. The way I disassembled the cases did not allow for me to check what kind of play it had, if any.
No encuentro información por ningún lado

didnt even state the year of the fucking engine
