You're the shit brother I've been searching all over trying to find something or some help with the same exact problem with my 93 accord, I've replaced valve cover gasket, seals, spark plugs, spark plug seals, alternator and it still shuts off so I'm going to try a new distributor tomorrow and I will let you know how it goes.
Lol just found out my 95 accord has a bad head gasket (oil looks like chocolate milk and has the consistency of gasoline among with oil in the spark plug wires) but after I get plug wires, plugs and a head kit gonna be replacing the distributor as well thank you for the tutorial mate
Honestly I’d do a chemical test on it to see if it is actually a blown head. It could also be condensation from not being driven a lot. When these cars sit especially in cold weather and you start them up it can look like the milkshake of death, but it’s actually normal.
@@truthseeker1203 nah it's definitely the head gasket it's pissing coolant out from in-between the head and block and it's pouring smoke out the exhaust lol but I need to learn how to fix it so all good
Needs valve adjustment, I can hear rocker tick. If you don’t know when timing belt/water pump was changed I’d do that as well. New ngk spark plug wires, and ngk spark plugs. Add an oil catch can (I use evil energy from Amazon) if you’re getting any oil in intake, change pcv, and air filter if you got one. And last but not least run a good full synthetic.
Yeah, you can get arcing in the distributor cap and it sounds like a tick/knock. Different from engine knocking. You can also get knocking coming from fuel detonating in the spark plug well due to arcing etc.
1 make sure it’s plugged in. 2 make sure you didn’t throw off the ignition timing, the distributor should be twisted to the proper time, this is why before you pull one off you’re supposed to mark its position.
i guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Lennon Darren i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you. You car did exactly what mine is doing right now.

Exact same thing happened to my 94 accord. Luckily there was no traffic on the highway and I had time to pull over.
Them aftermarket distributors only last a year.
I changed more distributors than any on my 92 honda
U still got your honda
That was pretty damn good, thanks
Did you buy that distributor from ebay? Do you still have the Accord? If so, how is it holding up?
