My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this video, we know the route so well being keen geocachers and walker in the East Anglia region. We have been all along the route at one time or another. We live at Dereham and have lived near Narborough where there is a lost platform hidden in the woods near the north junction joining the A47. Fantastic video...
Thank you so much for this one! I moved to Norfolk with my parents when I was 12 years old and lived just the hill from Middleton Towers station. My regret is that I never rode the line to Dereham before closure. My brother now lives in Dereham and I live in Kent close to the Hawhurst branch so I’m looking forward to that one. We both enjoy exploring lost lines so, from both of us, thank you.
TH-cam just offered me this video. Without a doubt, one of the most impressive and informative creations I have seen here. Seldom do I click the ‘subscribe’ button after just one video. I shall be watching more of your work in the next few days. Thanks again.
I became obsessed with old railway lines in the 70s. We never had holidays abroad back then (who did)? We had a motor caravan, and our holidays were spent in the UK. My dad had so many maps. During the journeys, I used to peruse these maps, and was constantly finding 'disused railway'. It became a 'thing' for me. Approaching 60, I have walked over 1000 miles of old lines.....I have a way to go still. These videos are fantastic! Never stop making these please.
Thanks! I have my work cut out as there are so many lost lines to choose from! The tricky part is sourcing images of old stations I can use. Then working out how to animate the present into that image.
That would be great thanks! I plan on doing Melton Constable to South Lynn at some point soon feel free to subscribe / share my other Norfolk projects.
@@ghosttrainlostrailways I live in South Lynn so happy to share knowledge and photos, including the old trackbed at the curve between the South Lynn railway bridges and the old harbour junction under the A47

Thanks John! I enjoyed putting this one together (I am Norfolk born and bred myself!)
Another great video. One for the marriotts way would be nice LOL
I've cycled that one many times! 🚲
This is golden. I’m leading the effort to restore Middleton Towers so this is nostalgic even for someone like me who wasn’t around when the line was!
Absolutely outstanding production. We live in the area and seeing it brought back to life is exceptional. 5*.
Thanks Kevin! Got plenty of other Norfolk lines feel free to subscribe 😁

Great video
Hate to be picky but I believe the photo at 14:42 is facing Middleton, not Lynn
Ah I wasn't entirely sure with the position of the bridge. It might have been incorrectly labelled when uploaded
