6yrs and she still looks rather good for a ALS patient My aunt decreased in a few months since being diagnosed and is almost fully handicapped in 6months time and probably has less than a year left to year iI think it's a crewel decease and there is nothing we can do to fight it
Jared Smith My heart goes out to u Jared, this is a terrible disease, I'm sure you will connect with others through the clinic and feel comfort that you are not alone.
ALS is caused by an endotoxin called Lipopolysaccharide that leaks through the gut (leaky gut syndrome) and causes a low-grade systemic sepsis that manifests itself differently in everyone. Some show signs of MS; some RA; some ALS; some Myositis, etc, but they are all the exact same diseases - leaky gut syndrome. You have to heal/seal the gut (search YT for leaky gut syndrome). Here's just one study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2995297/
Hi Peggy! My Husband who will be 40 in November has ALS. He was diagnoised with it in September of 2011. He served 11 years in the marines. With out the help of family and The ALS Assocation I dont know how i would have gotten through the begginning. I know we still have a long road, but I have the faith we will beat this!
The disease took my father when he was 44 years old four years ago. Things have changed so much since then. This is the disease that desperatley needs a cure.
Hi! i know how hard it is to have ALS. i never knew what it wuz until a little over 2 yrs ago when my aunt got diagnosed with it. it wuz probably the hardest years for our family. to see her go from a fun loving person to basically a vegetable. everything in her body basically in a way disinegrated, within the first 6 months she had lost her ability to speak and move. it wuz terrible.she passed away on march 25, 2010 after only a 2 yr battle with it. i miss her more and more each day.
my uncle had ALS, he couldn't move, and he had to be carried down the stairs and be held up by his children so he can see everybody. MY uncle had died in his sleep and we all go to his gravestone and we pray for him every year. it's been three years but we all miss him.
She was only 49. There was a video of her on TH-cam four days before she died. A hospice nurse sang I Wanna Go to her. Her daughter took it down because too many nuts began posting derogatory comments on it.
There is no cure for ALS; nor is there a proven therapy that will prevent or reverse the course of the disorder. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved Riluzole, the first drug that has been shown to prolong the survival of ALS patients. Patients may also receive supportive treatments that address some of their symptoms. ALS is usually fatal within five years after diagnosis. Unfortunately "Share the Care" program has offered no help or assistance.
Unfortunately Peggy passed away in October of 2018. Much love to all of her family and friends if they happen to read this.
😭😭😭😭😭
I believe any patient suffering from this disease is in heaven with God
