Definitely one of the best... I think Koenigsegg is proving to be quite the thorn in many of their sides because of their innovative approaches which pushes the envelope on what was previously thought possible. I feel he is pushing the others to new heights too as a result. Cosworth is being deployed in very interesting projects certainly. I wonder if CvK would have used them if he didn't opt to produce his own engines... The Gemera 3 cylinder is very interesting as an engineering showpiece.

After the re-design of the Valhalla i agree, hated the first version of the Valhalla though.

Wow. This car is absolutely insane. That V12 is a dying breed that really makes you HEAR the craziness that you FEEL. But I have to disagree with you...for me the aerodynamics of this car is what sets it apart. It's absolutely unbelievable the amount of downforce this ROAD LEGAL car makes. For me, beauty comes from function so the fact that every tiny tiny detail on the body is used for an aerodynamic purpose is mesmerizing. I can look at it for days and find new bits that I'm sure a huge group of people spent numerous hours working on. Great video, thank you 👍
Looks like a handful. Probably only a small % of the world’s drivers are skilled enough to tame this thing.
True, craziest thing about this is, lots of drivers who are skilled enough to tame this beast just can't afford it.
It seems like the car struggles for traction. I feel like they need some proper slicks on this monster to really keep up.
It was wet on most days of the festival.
Its not even revving all the way.. only to about 8k.. it seems the power band goes all the way to 11

@@LxftRxght nah the aero is done. They wont make any modifications. All they can do is make changes to the ecu or use different tires.

I mean I would argue that the T.50 is our generations F1 moment haha, but this is absolutely it's equivalent. What an amazing car, such an iconic design and incredible motor. You're partnership with AM is also so cool, looking forward to seeing the journey continue.

The f1 was the pinnacle of extreme. T50 is a balanced and comparably sensible offer. Valk is beyond extreme, prototype style

I would absolutely say the T50 is. The Valkyrie is neither proper race car nor road car. It's completely unsuitable for the road, just look at the view out the front window, its like looking out through a letterbox. It seems to exist for the sake of the numbers. I don't know... Maybe I just don't 'get it'.

WHAT. A. CAR. The noise coming out of that V12 is sensational! It's been so long since we've heard anything like that and so good to see a naturally aspirated engine still being produced. It's like the perfect final tribute for a NA V12 before everything goes fully electric.

Well it's not that it doesn't have the grip...but rather it's almost too fast for them. It's like saying you will crash an F1 car because it lacks grip

It was not a fast run and yet all it did was lose traction. Way too much power or wrong gearing for way too light a car. Not impressed by that run.
Imagine if they carried on with the Hypercar programme. Such a shame they pulled the plug on it.

@@origaminefretami3480 No, he OP means racing programme with this car in Le Mans Hypercar class. The race version has now been converted into an extreme track day toy called Valkyrie Pro.
This is by far my favorite car ever. The styling and technology is amazing. Also being an Adrian fan I can't wait to see what it can do.
I just wish they would hurry up and finish it. We have been waiting forever. I have been following this car since it's announcement and I feel like the excitement is fading because to much time has passed.

I dunno know what to say, which is rare....this thing seems only to be experienced just by looking at the onboard - this might be the most intense road car ever.
Wheels spinning all the way up to 4th gear and doing 170kph while looking as if its just idling - all the while barely half way in the rev range.
Ladies and gentlemen we are in for quite something next level here...
I absolutely love this car, the problem I have with it is just how unusable it looks on a road, you can tell it's just going to be one of those car's that sit's in someone's collection and doesn't do anything. It sort of reminds of the old classics like the Mercedes CLK GTR/ McLaren F1 GTR Longtail.

Maybe because the engine is solid mounted to the chassis, the noise in the cockpit feels an entire octave lower like some kind of insane motorcycle than the V12 soprano we heard on the dyno. I would have loved to hear some of that outside scream on the inside too.

I know I haven't met you in person but I can tell you from what I've observed of you on your channel you would be a true friend friend for life.
It kind of looked like a jet plane taxiing to the run way. Look forward to seeing a flat lap by a pro driver and see how hard you can go.

I've just had a custom moulded seat made for my track car and it makes a massive difference. You feel part of the car and you hardly have to grip the steering wheel at all, it allows you to be much more delicate and feel every piece of feedback. I'm sure they will offer custom seats for the Valkyrie, they'd be crazy not to.

This is astounding, and not only the car and it's remarcable engine, but also this video, I think this is the first channel (non corpo stuff like top gear for one) that manages to pull off such stunts, being led into Aston Martin's legacy project from any stage is astounding let alone from an early stage, congrats for making the content that could never be made

I was just slowly giving up on AM, but with that V12 powered Valkyre I'm really happy for the brand, it's been one of my favorite since I was young seeing AM Vantage Volante

@@iceblade019 Valkyrie was practically birthed from X2010. Both designed to be all out cars with no limitations designed by Adrian newey. Look at x2010 and you’ll see the similarities with Valkyrie

Love the work you do with Aston Martin, I think we forget just what an institution they are and how successful they are in Motorsport, this car will certainly shake up Ferrari and others, it has moved Super/Hypercars to a new level. It is insane, I hope you remain one their biggest advocates in the Automotive TH-cam world and help put them back on top of the luxury Supercar Manufacturers tree!

In my eyes, this is one of the most exciting cars to come out since the laf/918/p1. I feel like there hasn’t been the same level of exciting releases in the past 5ish years because everything is so good, but things don’t seem very bold these days. However, this is truly a challenge to that notion and it’s really exciting
Interesting... I think there is so much boldness in the car community, it's really hard too stand out. I remember in the 90s and 2000s when we really struggled to see high performance cars. Now there is a plethora of 1000hp+ road cars to choose from. It's a crazy time. I remember when 500hp sounded crazy.

I just love the Valkyrie. It’s my third favourite car. The performance is amazing and the sound is unlike anything else.
@AVIO lol. My second favourite is the Pagani Zonda Cinque and my favourite is the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolute. The Valkyrie is my favourite track car and my third favourite car.
I think it's really interesting the sounds inside vs outside. Can't wait to see more and great production value as always! I still think this is such an underrated channel.

the front splitter looks lik is been ripped straight from an F1 car from like 2013 with it being connected to the body with the two posts and the way its shaped. this car is absolute madness.
I’m currently working on a project next to the M40 at Banbury and have been lucky enough to see Aston road testing this up and down the motorway, although the test car I’ve been seeing is red and black, it sounds absolutely GLORIOUS 😍🎶🎶🎶

After I won the caterham Academy and the caterham roadsport titles I sold all my sexy supercars and historic race cars and took up sailing . Bliss .
The hypercars on this level began with the VISION series from Grand Turismo , including the Valkyrie itself of which originally indeed began with an Adrian Newy design called the X1 Prototype. The Vision GT and Vision 2030 The idea was to give automakers and their designers a chance to develop special cars with no constraints or limitations, to discover in simulation theory and possibly a real world execution of what is truly possible given no constraints or limitations in performance and design. There were about 3 iterations that led to the Valkyrie. which leapfrogged from the more extreme X1 design which was under red bull to a road going design which came to life under Aston Martin. but always under the creation of Adrian newy.
I want to see you drive the car from your house to a track, then do a track day and then drive home! Ultimate advert for this car

I think the Valkyrie represents the very peak of the internal combustion era. I honestly don't think there will be a road legal naturally aspirated V12 car that will be faster or more extreme. There may be turbo/hybrid cars that may be faster, but they won't be as pure and brutal as the Valkyrie.
They need to make an HYP or LM-GTP version of this thing. Who wouldn't want to see that thing tearing down the Mulsanne? Or HEAR it; that SOUND: Porsche 919, eat your heart out!

The crazy part is that he still had 2-3K RPM left before redline at every shift. You know a car is pushing it when the limit is how many Gs your body can handle on a seat compliant with street regulation.
Great video and the Valkarie is a monster. I can't wait to see it set a time on a track like Portimao or Silverstone.
With the rear view mirror, screens for side view mirrors, a screen on the steering wheel and on the dash, the view forward is a bit of a disaster.

So much more exciting to watch than the Evija or Rimacvid from Shmee...those made me fall asleep watching. This feels pretty sketchy tho, fighting with traction all the time, even tho the driver was taking it easy. Still maybe one of the most special roadcars ever.

T-50 is not designed to compete with this, T50 is more of a practical daily driver with a manual transmission, built for enjoyable roadtrips, not for lap times.

What's you thoughts on ring times? Is there a way to extrapolate just like the 6:30 was on the little brother? Also, I want Porsche to make the 919 concept road car a reality to give it a run. Great channel.

It looks really raw to drive, but it also looked a little unstable when accelerating. Of course we can't get a complete experience from a video, but it seemed as if it lost traction every now and then. For instance here 5:19

The speed difference between this and the lotus Evija was surprising. When comparing the speeds at the same track points (eg. going under bridges) lotus=196 AM=173 for first bridge and then at last bridge lotus=193 AM=156. Perhaps the Valkyrie driver was being more restrained, however the differences were quite startling.
Be interested to know the lap time comparisons between LPM2 and this car on a circuit.
