He knows what inputs hes putting in and therefore what forces to brace for is part of it as well
its also the fact that he is steering, so he can compensate better, but still
it helps to be holding onto the wheel

What's crazy is that when us "normal" people drive any car, we drive at the limit that our brains find "just enough dangerous to not be dangerous". When guys like Nico drive a car, they drive at the limit of that car, regardless of how fast it is. Your brain really needs to be built different to be an accomplished pilot.

Hulkenberg's talent is one of the least rewarded in the past couple of decades of F1. The opportunities afforded him in no way match his talent. Had the cards fallen more kindly, he had the ability to win a world driver's title, I'm convinced of that. You only have to recall his recent performances when standing in for absent drivers and the pace he found with very little preparation to understand he's a very special driver. What a buzz to be driven by him in that car...
