Venerable sir, I would, as per usual, like to thank you for your time and sharing of the Buddha's wisdom.
I have a question with regards to choice or decision.
As a lay practitioner, I am struggling with choice. I find myself in a difficult position between choosing what I am doing with my life.
I "must" attend university to sustain myself financially, but am unable to process the degree of choice I have when it comes to selecting a profession, as it is something which will affect my life significantly. The alternative is working a low-level position without schooling which is barely sufficient or insufficient to survive reasonably well.
What upsets me is the fact that work is necessary to survive. If I could simply not work, I would, but as far as I understand (which may be incorrect), I must work. Living each day is so exhausting for me.
What has the Buddha said about difficult, life altering choices and free will - I suppose in terms of the lay practitioner? What did he say about sacrifice or comprimise? How can I possibly choose how I will survive for the rest of my life?
Thank you for your time, Bhante.

Thank you for answering my question about killing silverfish. Very helpful. I must remember just to let them be. Next question: If one is not aware of the rebirth, why does it matter? Or is the Buddhist plan to live happily and just not worry about anything? Hard to express my question. Namo buddhaya 🙏🙏🙏

Nice, a dog protecting the talk ❤ Maybe a tendency that eventually leads to it being born as a human 🌛
Not sure it’s the best of times now, or maybe it is, considering the amount of people behaving like «pigs» nowadays ☺️

Hi, I've been thinking about this lately, if and when people have been very mean to me from time to time, even though I've never done or said anything bad to them, I'd just like to wish everyone the best, are they just being mean because they want to be or do I deserve this? everything, for example with my bad karma from past and/or this life? I don't understand what this is about for me?
