What a kind way of telling someone that you care for that they are distracting you from your meditation and wisdom and encouraging you toward a path that will compound your suffering and their own.

Hello Bhante, isn't nama anything without a form like a concept or an idea, but not a perception.

🙏Hello Bhante, how are you? Question: I often replay past events countless times in my head or memory. Mostly my past deeds, achievements, and speech. Only sometimes do I remember what others have said to me. Any advice? Be happy and stay well.

Bhante, thank you always for your videos, one of the hindrances I rarely encounter in daily life but I encounter in meditation lately is restlessness. Lately I cannot keep engage in Samadhi and keep having memories, images, scenarios of situations that did not happen yet. What is a way to deal with this hindrance during meditation? Thank you

After hearing that one needs to be in good health to become a monk I thought that it’s a pity more monastic training opportunities aren’t available for disabled people, though I understand the practicalities involved. After-all, having a physical ‘defect’, for want of a better word, could be seen as karma and shouldn’t that person have the opportunity to change karma? Perhaps there are training centres for disabled people?

Dear Ajahn, thank you for your teaching!
I heard we can start the 8 fold path in any order. I've also heard that torpor is removed in 1st Jhana. If so, would it be wise to strive towards Arahantship by obtaining 1st Jhana firstly, move on to Sotapana, and then continue the path towards liberation? Also, what places/settings are ideal for reaching the deepest levels of absorption, complete solitude and quietude? Thank you.

Thank you Bhante for today's Dhamma talk 😊🙏. I have a question about Jhana. I've only just heard of this and my initial confusion is about the rapture or pleasurable feelings that may occur in Jhana. I realize this is something that just happens with practicing Samadhi but are we not meant to be non attached to pleasurable things? Why are we aiming for a pleasurable experience when so much of Buddhism is about not attaching ourselves to pleasurable experiences? Thank you 😊🙏

I'm practicing anapanasati. I've heard to keep focus on the tip of the nose and breath. Problem is I seem to "follow" the breath to my lungs for the in and out breath but I heard that you should not "follow the breath". Problem is when I do focus on my in or out breath, it makes me purposely take control of the breath and not just "observe" it. It does this automatically. Any advice what I should do to remedy this?
