The clones looks horrible with their gross mix of live-action and animation style elements made them look super off and inaccurate to either style, same with stuff like Ashoka’s headdress not being translated into live-action properly. Also all of the planets being completely covered in fog for some reason felt eh

There will NEVER BE live action clones that look like clones from the movies or cartoons bc those helmets are literally impossible to take on and off of a human head. If u want clone armor in live action, you need to accept that it will require realistic proportions for the costumes and the animated clones just do not have that. Ahsoka's headdress is a physical prop that can't get in the way during fight sequences or it'll get knocked off. It looks pretty good. The only way u can tell it's a prop is if you know the actor is a human. They covered ONE planet in fog, specifically during a flashback with the point being that it doesn't really matter what planet they were on bc that's not the point of that scene at all. It was a narrative choice in order to have u focused on the characters and what they are saying rather than analyzing the background like a kid chasing butterflies in the middle of an ongoing baseball game. Also it's a DREAM SEQUENCE. Star Wars "fans" literally be going 100 miles out of their way to not enjoy star wars anymore and it really sucks. Shit like this is why George sold the franchise. @ The problem with the armour isn’t just the proportions, the whole aesthetic of the armour has bits and pieces of both the realistic style from AotC and the stylised cartoony details from the show into a weird hybrid and it looks horrible. The clones from both Andor, TBoBF and Mando season 3 didn’t suffer from this problem, only the ones from Ahsoka. There are plenty of examples of fan cosplays online that accurately portray clone armour IRL, and the Ahsoka clones weren’t even close. It was an odd stylistic choice that makes the clones look inaccurate to both TCW and AotC. Rex in particular looked pretty bad because they copied basically all of his design straight from TCW and put it into live-action instead of properly translating it into live-action. We’ve already seen what Ahsokas headdress should look like in live-action thanks to Shaak Ti, it’s supposed to look like actual teeth connected along a chain and not big bulky triangles, them getting it correct wouldn’t have costed anything in terms of the actresses performance

In RoTS different scenes will give Anakin slightly different colour palettes, this could be due to the colour grading but also due to changes in the outfits used. Movies will sometimes have hundreds of spares of the “hero costume”, these spares won’t always be exact copies, especially when they’re hand made like in Star Wars.
Anakin wears dark brown and black, foreshadowing becoming Darth Vader. In the cartoon, he wears red and blue. The woman in the TH-cam short was using "maroon" to describe the armor from the cartoon.

I'll never understand the tendency of Hollywood to make leather armor. In this case, however, it shouldn't be metal like earth armor, but plastic or "plasteel" like it is in-universe
I'd imagine the habit of using leather comes from the ability to get some amount of structure to the armor while still making it fairly light and easy to maneuver in., especially if a large portion of the body is armored
It has a good balance of things for someone who's not just cosplaying but actually going to act and move in the costume. A nice mix of durability without excessive weight, flexibility versus rigidity, and ease of modification.
