I followed the development of this game for years while it was being created. I loved the premise of this game because of how similar it was to E.V.O. on Snes which I owned and really enjoyed. I talked this game up like crazy to so many people. I still have the PC collectors edition to this day, it came in a really cool plastic box lol. The launch was really disappointing, I only found the first few stages of the game fun and the last few phases were really disappointing. They had so much time to develop the game as well, so I feel like they dropped the ball on all of the stages after you have fully developed the creature. I know that it's been improved over the years, they added the space sim part a while after the initial launch. I wonder if I can still install my old copy and have it patch?
I dunno man I got super paranoid about doing anything with it and found it kinda dull to play. I'll admit doing the video kind of made me wanna go back and try it again with a fresh set of eyes though.
@@geekstorian there were only a few segments where it's fun, the rest is very dull, totally agreed. From what I understand it's still pretty much the same, I wouldn't go back. Unless maybe there's a player made patch to make it better.
i was very hyped for this game i had the demo disc on my dads older pc you only had the creature editor it ran at like 2 fps it felt more like some 3d modelling program than a game. but i got a new laptop shortly before the full game was out and i had fun with it but sometimes it got glitchy and i had a problem with the drm making me unable to reinstall the game after they formatted my laptop hard drive to fix the keyboard ? lol so that was a bummer. i re bought the game on steam a few years ago its still fun but the ui looks awkward on my 4k monitor . i think the tribal phase was disappointing the other phases were fine but a little short the best were the land animal and space stages .
you know I don't think it even kept my interest past the tribal phase. I can't explain why I was really excited for it then just could not keep my interest on it past that phase anytime I booted it up.. So mad props for getting all the way through it man. I honestly kind of iwsh they would try again though.. for some reason I just really REALLY want this concept to take off :).. Also thank you for hanging out!
❤🎉
Thanks for coming by Batman!
