My first experience with Mario was inside a store owned by one of my cousin, with Super Mario Bros played on the NES who served as a "sample console" for customers. I played the hell out of it. Today I own a lot of Mario stuff, even a giant fluffy action figure of him standing on my bed's cushions. 😃
The video has a lot of good information, but the pronunciation of Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi's names were awful. If you are going to cover stories about Japanese game developers, you need to get their names right. There are dozens of videos on TH-cam alone that you could have referenced to get proper pronunciation. It lacks professionalism and grates on the ears if you know how their names should sound.

I think SMB was the first game I ever played. I still own my original copy of SMB/Duck Hunt and SMB 3.
what no SMB2!!!!!!! Seriously though all great games! Also starting with SMB is a good way to get into gaming!
