2 years later and I used the video to do my first ever build. This was priceless,,,, It took me 15 hours, lol by stopping and starting your video 3000 times, but I did it with absolutely no problems AT ALL. Turned on and booted up to windows on the first try. This video is priceless, if anyone is wondering!
Important note: he didn't connect the cooling pump power supply to the MB. As you can see on the video the monitoring shows 0rpm for the pump fan and the CPU temperature is very high. Don't forget to connect that cable, the SATA cable is just for the RGB lights. Otherwise great video 👍

So much great practical advice that's not included in the doc for the various components. I've been sweating a similar build for weeks, and am much more confident now. Just one little warning for users of this case: when you're moving your desktop remove the filter down the bottom before picking up the case. I was a first time builder and learned it here, so thanks man.
Thanks Christopher! Built an intel Z690 system inside a bequiet 802 case recently and followed the majority of your steps to the letter (even though you built a ryzen system here). Your video contains great explanations and is well edited. To all you first time builders out there, I would definitely recommend investing in Corsair’s individually sleeved PSU cables rather than the one’s that come standard with the PSU. First, they make connecting cables to the motherboard much easier, and second, the bequiet 802’s sound dampening material can make things tight behind the motherboard. Cheers.
Amazing, I came across this video by chance. Normally I am 100% French-speaking, and I downloaded all the tutorials in French, for in the end it's a video in English which explains me the ultimate method to mount my PC. in addition with the exact same components that I bought. it's incredible. so self-explanatory. Building a PC is actually nothing new for me but I were looking for some guide about Silent Base 802 and I've found a treasure here! :D Amazing guide, very helpful even if you have some exp in it, learned a lot. I'll surely recommend it to everybody staring PC building adventure!
It's always a good idea to test cpu, ram, board and gpu outside of the case first to see if everything works. This case even let's you take out the mainboard-holder, so... this would've been nice to show. But it's a great tutorial after all.
I'm installing in an 801 case and this is the best video I could have hoped for. Thank you. Only thing I had to check was the front panel connectors. The switches had no polarity indicated and I got confused. But I learned their polarity does not matter.

Chris, this is an absolutely brilliant video that has helped me no end source and build a similar powerhouse of a PC using the same case! Your thermal testing video also saves me loads of messing around with fans and cooling, I will leave as is with my top mounted AIO and open case covers, as you clearly demonstrate it is configured optimally out of the box. As I haven't built a PC since the 90s you have given me a great refresher as things have changed quite a bit! You didn't attach the feet with the case on its back then... As the buttons get pushed down and both sides will unlock before you've even got that far lol

Fantastic video! I bought the same case, but had several questions during my build that were not readily apparent from reading the manual. You answered all of them, saving me a lot of grief. Thank you. One caveat: the solid wall model of the SB 802 does not have those 5 plastic HD bay inserts, as you've shown in your case, just empty slots.

GOOD GOD! I have the Dark Base Pro 900 (from the same manufacturer), and the difference is like night and day. DB900 is - to be polite - a huge pain to set up, especially for a beginner like me. I wish I had watched this video before I ordered it, I would've gotten this one and saved myself a lot of pain.

38:01 *WARNING* In some motherboards do matter, because some Sata ports gets dissabled when using some of the PCIE (for expansion cards such us the graphic card, AND for NMVe SSDs) Check your motherboard manual in both the category of the Sata Ports and the PCIe section, in case there are incompatibilities and only specified in one of them.
Excellent video, built my first PC with this with almost same parts. My preference is if you get rid of the RGB RAM you can get CL16 with same price. Geforce Experience might also just be bloatware. Gonna look for drivers separately and decide later on best software.
Hello Christopher. I just used this video for my built and it helped me tremendously since we have the same case (bequiet 802). Excellent guide. The only problem i have is that when i plug the 4-pin fan cable from fan hub, the fans run at full speed when in auto mode. In manual they slow down as expected. It is a B550 Motherboard, gigabyte aorus pro AX. What may be the problem?
Switches actually aren't polarised. they're either closed (button pressed) or open (button released) so it doesn't matter which way up the reset switch and power switch are connected.
Do you know why there isn't a big front panel connecter instead of all those small ones? So many things have standard fancy plugs. It's not like a connector is so extremely difficult that nobody can design it.... 🙂 Enjoyed your video
I found this after purchasing all my components, which is perfect. I love how clear your tutorial is. I have a MAG X570 Tomahawk WIFI with a Ryzen 7 3800X, do I need to update the BIOS?
I see that this case has the same exposed multicolour wires on the audio cable as the 500DX does. If you don't want to splash out an extension for that cable you could just put some black insulating tape to mask it.

Got the same motherboard and cpu! Its amazing. Had to buy a gigabyte 750w GOLD PSU for £75 on ebuyer, since I couldn’t find any Corsair PSUs.

You don't, the case comes with everything you need for an inverted build, you just need to follow the instrucctions on the manual
