Go to an apostolic pentecostal church. When the altar call is given go up there and tell them that you would like to recieve the Holy Spirit baptism. They will pray with you until it happens. When you pray don't focus on anything but Jesus.
In your prayer time, tell the Lord your hearts desire, ask him to lead you to a place of worship of His choice where you will be taught the truth. Everything you need is in God’s Word.

I closed my bedroom door locked it got on my knees and told God I'm here until I get Tongues! Well hours later it came so powerful it took my English for over 12 hours! It was so wonderful! You receive the Holy Spirit upon conversion. You will know who the true converts are by their Fruits, NOT by their gifts, which can be easily faked like tongues, which has since ceased.
I recieved the Holy Spirit this past Sunday night and WoW whata glorious feeling it is!! I can't praise Jesus enough for filling me with the Holy Ghost!

I hope many people see your testimony, it's awesome! It's hard to describe how receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit takes things to a whole other level, in so many ways. All I know is when I received Him it was one of the best days of my life. I'm grateful for the gifts He gives, where I am led to pray in tongues in intercession for someone else. Many times I feel like it's someone somewhere far away, like in Asia (or anywhere on Earth) who is suicidal and has no one else to pray for them. The Holy Spirit knows and leads us to intercede. You can feel when there's been a breakthrough. Tongues not only edify us, they edify others and I know demons hate that. That's why there's so many lies out there about the gifts of the Spirit, because all of them do damage to satan's plans. Demons despise tongues because they can't understand it and it's like nails on a chalkboard to them. One thing I like to do is sing in tongues. The Holy Spirit will give us songs to praise the Lord, it just flows naturally. I could go on and on, but I don't want to write a whole book lol. I just love your video and you're just so animated and lovely. Your enthusiasm and knowledge is a real blessing. I know you make Jesus proud and that you'll get lots of people saved and Spirit filled!

Before i recieved the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues i couldn't understand the scriptures to.the point to where if i had asked anybody about how to be saved i would have believed them whether they knew what they were talking about or not. This is what hundreds of millions of believers in catholic and protestant churches did. And they weren't told the truth of how to be saved. After i arrived home from recieving the Holy Spirit i decided to read a little from the Bible before bed. When i opened it up.and started reading i was stunned. Suddenly it had taken on much more depth and i became aware of the Spirit that i had recieved was guiding me and teaching me the meaning of what i was reading. It wasn't until.later that i read the scripture," The anointing you have recieved of him abideth in you and you need no man to teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you of all things,and is truth and is no lie,as even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him".(1John 2:27)
I love your explanation and heart and being so genuine in explaining this. I grew up southern Baptist as a preachers kid and just the last several years I’ve been in a church that shows evidence of the power of the Holy Spirit. This year got has been pruning my life and changing my heart and desires. The last few months I spoke in tongues unexpectedly at my home then a month later was completely consumed by the Holy spirit at church. My hands and arms where so hot and tingly like electricity moving through me and I spoke in tongues again. Like it was a loud mouth chatter like when your freezing but intense for a long time. I felt I was being delivered I was being filled, peace was being given

On the way to ER last time it tried to come on me . I started speaking in my prayer language and it departed immediately!! Anyone reading this 2 Tim 1:7 God did not give us a spirit of fear !! I’ve been wanting to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost since may 2022, but I know God will give it to me on His timing. I remember being on the phone with my friend group. We were all praying and this was the hardest I had ever prayed! So I’m going hard in prayer while my friends are speaking in tongues and I feel something in my belly as if I was about to speak in tongues.. but I guess I got scared because I wasn’t sure what was going on🤣it felt like a fire and a heavy urge to let it out. But I know I will receive it🙏🏽🙌🏾so thankyou for this video and for your obedience 🤍
When you are praying and believing for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Pray an audible prayer. The Holy Ghost will not make you open your mouth. I have many times see Christian filled wile they were praising God.

@dionnejhall8994 Hello Dionne. The Holy Ghost is a Gift received by Faith just like salvation. So many times I have see people receive the Holy Ghost while praising God. The Bible teaches us that it's a river of living water springing up from our inner most being. People receive the Holy Ghost in different ways. You don't have to plead with God. You only have to believe when you are praying, tell The Lord you want it with a prayer from your mouth. When you begin to feel like different words are trying to come, yeld to what you feel and hear. I remember after God filled me my first thought was. Wow that was easy, I should have gotten the Holy Ghost long time ago. The very part of God that the church needs, many churches teach against it. Keep praying and seeking God. It will come.

God has done so many miracles in my life just to share a few I used to be addicted to alcohol and be overcome by depression and anxiety and I am now 2 1/2 years sober God completely delivered me from it I don’t have any temptation or urges just completely delivered me from it. A year into my sobriety I was going through a normal day and I was recognising the devil was lying to me about a few things that God showed me and I went on my knees and I just began to thank God for showing me that the devil was lying to me and the most amazing thing happened I had an experience with God‘s presence that I’ve never had before. It was the most amazing experience that I’ve ever had in my life I was in God’s tangible presence and it was so marvellous that all I could do was cry and praise Him. God has delivered me from depression and anxiety and so much more. Thank you so much for replying. I will wait on the Lord while thanking Him for what He has already done.
Be very penitent; repent and see how much of a sinner you are in front of a Holy God, then ask Jesus for a drink, even a sip, of Living Water - You will receive.

Get a couple of believers that have spoke in tongues and have them take you aside privately. As the pray for you, don't pray to speak in tongues, pray for the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Keep doing so until the Lord answers your prayer and fills you( You will know when it happens). Then open your mouth and start relaxing your tongue as a way of surrendering it. Keep doing so until the Holy Spirit gives you the ability to speak in tongues. Don't try to imitate anyone praying with you. Focus only on Jesus !

For clarification, there is a difference between speaking in tongues when you’re just baptized with the Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues also known as Diver Tongues 1) when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit they speak in tongues as the the spirit gives the utterance. This is the INITIAL EVIDENCE that they have just been filled with the Holy Spirit. When Peter preached to Cornelius (Acts 10) this was the confirmation that Cornelius and his household had received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, they spake in new tongues as the spirit gave the utterance. Today when someone receives the infilling of the Holy Spirit the initial evidence or the first confirmation is that they speak in new tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. (Acts 2:4-8) 2) there are 9 gifts of the spirit which includes diver tongues. A person cannot be used in the gifts of the spirit without first being baptized with the Holy Spirit. How can you have the gift but not the spirit? Diver tongues is not the initial evidence that someone has received the Holy Spirit and we need to keep these things separate. Diver tongues is God using an already Holy Ghost filled believer to bring a message in tongues. This is often followed by another of the 9 gifts “interpretation of tongues” where the message God gave to a person in tongues is now interpreted into a human language by another person not too long after the diver tongues. None of these gifts come without first being baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Just a heads up to those who get this Baptism from Jesus - the devil will try to disappoint you after, and you may also feel like you need to 'work' (the wrong kind) because of this incredible. glorious, Grace - do not fear, BE STILL (you cannot pay God back!) and continue to walk with God day by day - God Loves you and you are allowed to be excited even if people around you don't understand; you can always fellowship with Jesus and Praise Him all the more. Thank you so much for your testimony sister. Please when you refer to the Holy Spirit, please say Him not it. Get close to Him! He wants a relationship with you, He wants to be your best friend. Invite Him everywhere you go. Talk to Him like you would a friend and just hang out with Him. I recommend reading the book Good morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn. Another book I recommend is Host the Holy Ghost by Vladimir Savchuk.
Speaking in " tongues" is speaking in one spiritual language. Paul calls it the unknown tongues "that no man knoweth". If " no man knows it" then its not a language native to this world. When i pray in English its source os my mind, but if i speak in this unknown tongue its source is my spirit. The first time we speak in this language it is scriptural proof that we have recieved the Holy Spirit. Afterwards, it is my spirit interceding for me for self edification.The gift of speaking tongues is a different operation of speaking in tongues and it is for the edification of a church gathering. The gift of speaking in " tongues" is a gift that God gives to those He pleases to and is to be accompanied by a believer that has the gift of interpretation so that all in a church assembly may be edified.
Revelation 3:18 also talks about this baptism of fire. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment (righteousness), that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve (the opening of the spiritual eyes), that thou mayest see."
IMPORTANT BIBLE QUESTIONS?? Is there initial evidence when a believer is Empowered to Witness by the Holy Spirit? I’m not saying that there are no exceptions to this, but I do believe that Tongues were the only Biblical evidence given in Acts chapter 10, and chapter 19. Notice there was no other evidence given. I’m not saying that there are no exceptions, but they are the exception! Do we teach the normal Biblical pattern or the exception? We must teach the Biblical pattern, and not the exception. If we did, in this day and age of doubt no one would even desire the true power to witness! Speaking in Tongues is a powerful weapon as well as the sign the Spirit has enabled you to boldly proclaim Christ! I served the Lord for a while without the Power of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Later on when I was Baptized with the Holy Spirit I spoke in Tongues like Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19 and my Boldness to Witness became a Thousand Fold!! Why? The change in boldness came only after I spoke in tongues. Amazing!! What is it that made me loose my Tongue to witness in English? I believe it was the Tongue of Fire that came with Holy Ghost tongues. I believe that one can believe in Jesus and not receive the Power to Witness. One is Born again by believing, but empowered to witness by the in-filling. Look at Acts 8, they believed and were even Water Baptized but the Holy Spirit did not fall upon them until later. Also In Acts 11, and 15, when Peter spoke about Cornelius, he said, that God put no difference between us and them, and gave them the same gift the Apostles received in Acts 2. How did they know? Their only evidence was they heard them speak in Tongues! Also, in Acts 19, Paul asked certain disciples if they received the Holy Spirit since, or when they believed? Why even ask that question if people receive the Spirit at belief?? I believe the journey of being Born again begins at belief, but there is more. Why? Because, the only normative pattern in the Book of Acts to receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit, is repentance, water Baptism, Spirit Baptism with the evidence of Tongues. I also have seen too many Christians, who served the Lord for many years, finally speak as the Spirit gave them utterance, and were transformed by boldness. Why? Also, in Acts 11, when Peter was explaining his encounter with Cornelius he said… 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Then in Acts 15, at the counsel, Peter said.., 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Wow! Today many Churches put Differences between the Apostles and believers. But Peter says… 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put NO DIFFERENCE between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. So do you agree with me? That the normal Biblical Evidence of receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit to witness is speaking in tongues? If not, In Acts 8, how did they know the Holy Spirit wasn’t yet given to the Samaritans? Even though they believed and were Water Baptized. The Apostles had to come up later and lay hands on them to receive! Why??
Do we have to get baptized in order to make it into heaven? I believe in our lord… I always thought getting the Holy Ghost was through prayer… I just want to be apart of the after life, with our lord… and would love my family get baptized with me
Romans 10 vs 9 states If you confess with your mouth Jesus is lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth you profess your faith and are saved. So no you do not have to be baptized by water to be saved. But that said it is commanded that you have a water baptism. Jesus was also commanded to be baptized, his baptism was done by John the Baptist. Continue to pursuit the lord and read his word and you will be filled with the knowledge you are looking for.
To believe in Jesus and salvation is different from how we believe in things naturally. In the natural we believe in something once we are shown proof. Gods' way is if you believe first then I'll prove to you it's real. We do this by open mindedly listening to the Word and recieving it into our spirit.The Word of God is spiritual seed.

Hey Selice! To receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit all you need to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and put your faith in Him. This is salvation. There are no works required to receive the Holy Spirit. Read Galatians 3:2-4. Once you put your faith in Him, it’s the Holy Spirit that leads you to all truth and sanctifies you to be more like Christ. Read Romans 12:2. The baptism of the Holy Spirit (which is what I am referring to in this video) is not the same as receiving the Holy Spirit which happens at salvation when you put your faith in Jesus. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the additional filling of the Holy Spirit and this is accompanied by speaking in tongues. So how do you know that you’ve been baptized with the Holy Spirit? A clear sign is speaking in tongues.
@@viviani8320 Sister, the charismatic blessing is not an additional "filling." Fillings, if you consider the Greek, are temporary (with the "possible" exception of a few apostles and the like??). If God wanted to imply the HG Baptism as an additional filling to fullness or overflow, He could've used the Greek (Strongs #1072; pots of water into wine, etc.; or even just #4137) for such instead of #4130. The 2nd Blessing is one UPON us. We are clothed with it. It can momentarily fill us when speaking for God [etc. -ed.], if so ordained. Otherwise, it rests upon us; a repose.
Selice, salvation is a process. I was 12 when I first asked Jesus into my life. There was little change. At 16 I dated an Evangelical girl and began going to church "as an adult," joined the choir, joined a Bible study. There was little change in me. At 26 I committed a terrible sin (not so much in the world's eyes but in God's and mine). God gave me GODLY sorrow and remorse, gave me repentance, granted me deliverance and forgiveness: for the first time I felt myself "a new creature," knew that I knew I received a new S(s)pirit from the Heavenly Father. When we see our sin for what it is, through the lens of God, and believe ourselves equal to if not greater than others in our sinfulness: not only does it move us along in the process of salvation but it gives us the edge we need to forgive others. (Knowing how Satan has a great ability to take unknowing people captive to do his will, also helps us forgive others.) I love you.
God bless this sister, but the apostles didn't recieve the Holy Spirit until the day of pentecost. The proof of this is in Acts ch.10. After the gentiles had recieved the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues Peter turned to the six with him and said," Can any man forbid baptism to these that have recieved the Holy Spirit just as we did. The only way this can be true is if Peter had spoke in tongues when he recieved which he did on the day of pentecost in Acts ch.2.

8:29 the scriptures say that each person is given a gift. One of those gifts speaking could be speaking in tongues . Yet you say that everyone can speak in tongues. Can someone explain this??
Good question! It is the Holy Spirit that distributes the gifts and He decides which gift each person should have. However, Jesus tells us that "all those who believe (have faith) will be able to speak in tongues" (Mark 16:17) and God tells us that He is "working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him" (Philippians 2:13). So if God has given you a desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, then it's because it's His will for you to receive this gift. But, the key to receiving the gift is childlike faith. When you have a desire to speak in tongues, the worst thing you can do is believe that it's not for you because only certain people have this gift. This is what I believed for years and that's the reason why I never received it (even though I had a desire). Once I decided to just have faith, that's when I received the gift! If you have a desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, then I encourage you to ask God for it :)
Thanks so much for explaining this. So It says be baptized and you shall receive the gift of the holy spirit . This to me, means I’m saved since I was baptized in Jesus name. It doesn’t say that tongues is the way to salvation. Or is there scriptures that say I’m wrong??

John chapter 7 verses 38 and 39. The Holy Spirit is this Living water or life giving water. The more you thirst after God the more He fills you with His Spirit. You can be a believer in Christ without speaking in tongues. But to be effective in spiritual manifestations of God you will need more of the Holy Spirit. The Lord will fill your cup to overflow with his Spirit. The Key is to know more of the Holy Spirit while living for Christ Jesus. Yes, we have to live in this natural world but when we connect with God's Spirit, the Spirit will guide us into all truth. Peace and Be Blessed.
Many Chrsitians stumble at the very strangeness of speaking in languages you have never learned. On the one hand some Christians think that its only meant to preach the Gosple to speakers of other languages. There is no doubt that that has happened in various places. But to believe that you can speak in unlearned languages as a prayer to God, is beyond their imagination. The3 same people will often laud what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:27 - "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" I want those people who have difficulty in believing that God would give an unlearned language to a believer as a meams of personal prayer, to apply this statement of Paul to this gift of speaking in tongues as a prayer language. It sounds foolish to the rational mind - too many Christians try to understand the Bible (NT) - with their rational minds - but it is a matter of the spirit. So while it sounds foolish even to many Christians, just remember that God does chose foolish things to confound any rational mindset. Surrender to Jesus Christ and let Him bless you fellow believer.
It’s crazy how many believers don’t believe that the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance, many believers believe you can have the Holy Spirt without never speaking in tongues when this not true . Every Holy Sprit filled believe can speak in tongues and pray in tongues
I follow Jesus and live my life according to the Bible. I am not a part of any denomination. I personally don’t believe in separate denominations (1 Corinthians 3:4). We are all followers of Jesus. From my experience, denominations ultimately divide the body of Christ.

Go to an apostolic pentecostal church. When the altar call is given go up there and tell them that you would like to recieve the Holy Spirit baptism. They will pray with you until it happens. When you pray don't focus on anything but Jesus.

You receive the Holy Spirit upon conversion. You will know who the true converts are by their Fruits, NOT by their gifts, which can be easily faked like tongues, which has since ceased.

I hope many people see your testimony, it's awesome! It's hard to describe how receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit takes things to a whole other level, in so many ways. All I know is when I received Him it was one of the best days of my life. I'm grateful for the gifts He gives, where I am led to pray in tongues in intercession for someone else. Many times I feel like it's someone somewhere far away, like in Asia (or anywhere on Earth) who is suicidal and has no one else to pray for them. The Holy Spirit knows and leads us to intercede. You can feel when there's been a breakthrough. Tongues not only edify us, they edify others and I know demons hate that. That's why there's so many lies out there about the gifts of the Spirit, because all of them do damage to satan's plans. Demons despise tongues because they can't understand it and it's like nails on a chalkboard to them. One thing I like to do is sing in tongues. The Holy Spirit will give us songs to praise the Lord, it just flows naturally. I could go on and on, but I don't want to write a whole book lol. I just love your video and you're just so animated and lovely. Your enthusiasm and knowledge is a real blessing. Before i recieved the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues i couldn't understand the scriptures to.the point to where if i had asked anybody about how to be saved i would have believed them whether they knew what they were talking about or not.
This is what hundreds of millions of believers in catholic and protestant churches did. And they weren't told the truth of how to be saved.
After i arrived home from recieving the Holy Spirit i decided to read a little from the Bible before bed.
When i opened it up.and started reading i was stunned. Suddenly it had taken on much more depth and i became aware of the Spirit that i had recieved was guiding me and teaching me the meaning of what i was reading.
It wasn't until.later that i read the scripture," The anointing you have recieved of him abideth in you and you need no man to teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you of all things,and is truth and is no lie,as even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him".(1John 2:27)
I love your explanation and heart and being so genuine in explaining this. I grew up southern Baptist as a preachers kid and just the last several years I’ve been in a church that shows evidence of the power of the Holy Spirit. This year got has been pruning my life and changing my heart and desires. The last few months I spoke in tongues unexpectedly at my home then a month later was completely consumed by the Holy spirit at church. My hands and arms where so hot and tingly like electricity moving through me and I spoke in tongues again. Like it was a loud mouth chatter like when your freezing but intense for a long time. I felt I was being delivered I was being filled, peace was being given

I’ve been wanting to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost since may 2022, but I know God will give it to me on His timing. I remember being on the phone with my friend group. We were all praying and this was the hardest I had ever prayed! So I’m going hard in prayer while my friends are speaking in tongues and I feel something in my belly as if I was about to speak in tongues.. but I guess I got scared because I wasn’t sure what was going on🤣it felt like a fire and a heavy urge to let it out. But I know I will receive it🙏🏽🙌🏾so thankyou for this video and for your obedience 🤍
When you are praying and believing for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Pray an audible prayer. The Holy Ghost will not make you open your mouth. I have many times see Christian filled wile they were praising God.

@dionnejhall8994 Hello Dionne. The Holy Ghost is a Gift received by Faith just like salvation. So many times I have see people receive the Holy Ghost while praising God. The Bible teaches us that it's a river of living water springing up from our inner most being. People receive the Holy Ghost in different ways. You don't have to plead with God. You only have to believe when you are praying, tell The Lord you want it with a prayer from your mouth. When you begin to feel like different words are trying to come, yeld to what you feel and hear. I remember after God filled me my first thought was. Wow that was easy, I should have gotten the Holy Ghost long time ago. The very part of God that the church needs, many churches teach against it. Keep praying and seeking God. It will come.

God has done so many miracles in my life just to share a few I used to be addicted to alcohol and be overcome by depression and anxiety and I am now 2 1/2 years sober God completely delivered me from it I don’t have any temptation or urges just completely delivered me from it. A year into my sobriety I was going through a normal day and I was recognising the devil was lying to me about a few things that God showed me and I went on my knees and I just began to thank God for showing me that the devil was lying to me and the most amazing thing happened I had an experience with God‘s presence that I’ve never had before. It was the most amazing experience that I’ve ever had in my life I was in God’s tangible presence and it was so marvellous that all I could do was cry and praise Him. God has delivered me from depression and anxiety and so much more. Thank you so much for replying. I will wait on the Lord while thanking Him for what He has already done.
Be very penitent; repent and see how much of a sinner you are in front of a Holy God, then ask Jesus for a drink, even a sip, of Living Water - You will receive.

Get a couple of believers that have spoke in tongues and have them take you aside privately.
As the pray for you, don't pray to speak in tongues, pray for the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit.
Keep doing so until the Lord answers your prayer and fills you( You will know when it happens).
Then open your mouth and start relaxing your tongue as a way of surrendering it.
Keep doing so until the Holy Spirit gives you the ability to speak in tongues.
Don't try to imitate anyone praying with you. Focus only on Jesus !

For clarification, there is a difference between speaking in tongues when you’re just baptized with the Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues also known as Diver Tongues
1) when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit they speak in tongues as the the spirit gives the utterance. This is the INITIAL EVIDENCE that they have just been filled with the Holy Spirit. When Peter preached to Cornelius (Acts 10) this was the confirmation that Cornelius and his household had received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, they spake in new tongues as the spirit gave the utterance. Today when someone receives the infilling of the Holy Spirit the initial evidence or the first confirmation is that they speak in new tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. (Acts 2:4-8)
2) there are 9 gifts of the spirit which includes diver tongues. A person cannot be used in the gifts of the spirit without first being baptized with the Holy Spirit. How can you have the gift but not the spirit? Diver tongues is not the initial evidence that someone has received the Holy Spirit and we need to keep these things separate. Diver tongues is God using an already Holy Ghost filled believer to bring a message in tongues. This is often followed by another of the 9 gifts “interpretation of tongues” where the message God gave to a person in tongues is now interpreted into a human language by another person not too long after the diver tongues. None of these gifts come without first being baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Invite Him everywhere you go. Talk to Him like you would a friend and just hang out with Him. I recommend reading the book Good morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn. Another book I recommend is Host the Holy Ghost by Vladimir Savchuk.

Speaking in " tongues" is speaking in one spiritual language. Paul calls it the unknown tongues "that no man knoweth".
If " no man knows it" then its not a language native to this world.
When i pray in English its source os my mind, but if i speak in this unknown tongue its source is my spirit.
The first time we speak in this language it is scriptural proof that we have recieved the Holy Spirit. Afterwards, it is my spirit interceding for me for self edification.The gift of speaking tongues is a different operation of speaking in tongues and it is for the edification of a church gathering.
The gift of speaking in " tongues" is a gift that God gives to those He pleases to and is to be accompanied by a believer that has the gift of interpretation so that all in a church assembly may be edified.
Revelation 3:18 also talks about this baptism of fire. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment (righteousness), that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve (the opening of the spiritual eyes), that thou mayest see."

What do you say about 1 Corinthians 14:27,28 that says anytime there is speaking in tongues in the church there MUST be an interpretation.

IMPORTANT BIBLE QUESTIONS??
Is there initial evidence when a believer is Empowered to Witness by the Holy Spirit?
I’m not saying that there are no exceptions to this, but I do believe that Tongues were the only Biblical evidence given in Acts chapter 10, and chapter 19. Notice there was no other evidence given. I’m not saying that there are no exceptions, but they are the exception! Do we teach the normal Biblical pattern or the exception? We must teach the Biblical pattern, and not the exception. If we did, in this day and age of doubt no one would even desire the true power to witness! Speaking in Tongues is a powerful weapon as well as the sign the Spirit has enabled you to boldly proclaim Christ!
I served the Lord for a while without the Power of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Later on when I was Baptized with the Holy Spirit I spoke in Tongues like Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19 and my Boldness to Witness became a Thousand Fold!! Why? The change in boldness came only after I spoke in tongues. Amazing!! What is it that made me loose my Tongue to witness in English? I believe it was the Tongue of Fire that came with Holy Ghost tongues.
I believe that one can believe in Jesus and not receive the Power to Witness. One is Born again by believing, but empowered to witness by the in-filling. Look at Acts 8, they believed and were even Water Baptized but the Holy Spirit did not fall upon them until later.
Also In Acts 11, and 15, when Peter spoke about Cornelius, he said, that God put no difference between us and them, and gave them the same gift the Apostles received in Acts 2.
How did they know? Their only evidence was they heard them speak in Tongues!
Also, in Acts 19, Paul asked certain disciples if they received the Holy Spirit since, or when they believed?
Why even ask that question if people receive the Spirit at belief?? I believe the journey of being Born again begins at belief, but there is more.
Why? Because, the only
normative pattern in the Book of Acts to receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit, is repentance, water Baptism, Spirit Baptism with the evidence of Tongues.
I also have seen too many Christians, who served the Lord for many years, finally speak as the Spirit gave them utterance, and were transformed by boldness. Why?
Also, in Acts 11, when Peter was explaining his encounter with Cornelius he said…
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Then in Acts 15, at the counsel, Peter said..,
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Wow! Today many Churches put Differences between the Apostles and believers.
But Peter says…

If not, In Acts 8, how did they know the Holy Spirit wasn’t yet given to the Samaritans? Even though they believed and were Water Baptized.
The Apostles had to come up later and lay hands on them to receive! Why??
Do we have to get baptized in order to make it into heaven? I believe in our lord… I always thought getting the Holy Ghost was through prayer… I just want to be apart of the after life, with our lord… and would love my family get baptized with me
Romans 10 vs 9 states If you confess with your mouth Jesus is lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth you profess your faith and are saved. So no you do not have to be baptized by water to be saved. But that said it is commanded that you have a water baptism. Jesus was also commanded to be baptized, his baptism was done by John the Baptist. Continue to pursuit the lord and read his word and you will be filled with the knowledge you are looking for.

To believe in Jesus and salvation is different from how we believe in things naturally.
In the natural we believe in something once we are shown proof. Gods' way is if you believe first then I'll prove to you it's real.
We do this by open mindedly listening to the Word and recieving it into our spirit.The Word of God is spiritual seed.

Hey Selice! To receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit all you need to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and put your faith in Him. This is salvation. There are no works required to receive the Holy Spirit. Read Galatians 3:2-4.
Once you put your faith in Him, it’s the Holy Spirit that leads you to all truth and sanctifies you to be more like Christ. Read Romans 12:2.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit (which is what I am referring to in this video) is not the same as receiving the Holy Spirit which happens at salvation when you put your faith in Jesus. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the additional filling of the Holy Spirit and this is accompanied by speaking in tongues.
So how do you know that you’ve been baptized with the Holy Spirit? A clear sign is speaking in tongues.

Sister, the charismatic blessing is not an additional "filling." Fillings, if you consider the Greek, are temporary (with the "possible" exception of a few apostles and the like??).
If God wanted to imply the HG Baptism as an additional filling to fullness or overflow, He could've used the Greek (Strongs #1072; pots of water into wine, etc.; or even just #4137) for such instead of #4130.
The 2nd Blessing is one UPON us. We are clothed with it. It can momentarily fill us when speaking for God [etc. -ed.], if so ordained. Otherwise, it rests upon us; a repose.

Afterwards, it is your private prayer language.

I was 12 when I first asked Jesus into my life. There was little change.
At 16 I dated an Evangelical girl and began going to church "as an adult," joined the choir, joined a Bible study. There was little change in me.
At 26 I committed a terrible sin (not so much in the world's eyes but in God's and mine). God gave me GODLY sorrow and remorse, gave me repentance, granted me deliverance and forgiveness: for the first time I felt myself "a new creature," knew that I knew I received a new S(s)pirit from the Heavenly Father.
When we see our sin for what it is, through the lens of God, and believe ourselves equal to if not greater than others in our sinfulness: not only does it move us along in the process of salvation but it gives us the edge we need to forgive others. (Knowing how Satan has a great ability to take unknowing people captive to do his will, also helps us forgive others.)

God bless this sister, but the apostles didn't recieve the Holy Spirit until the day of pentecost. The proof of this is in Acts ch.10. After the gentiles had recieved the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues Peter turned to the six with him and said," Can any man forbid baptism to these that have recieved the Holy Spirit just as we did. The only way this can be true is if Peter had spoke in tongues when he recieved which he did on the day of pentecost in Acts ch.2.

8:29 the scriptures say that each person is given a gift. One of those gifts speaking could be speaking in tongues . Yet you say that everyone can speak in tongues. Can someone explain this??
Good question! It is the Holy Spirit that distributes the gifts and He decides which gift each person should have. However, Jesus tells us that "all those who believe (have faith) will be able to speak in tongues" (Mark 16:17) and God tells us that He is "working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him" (Philippians 2:13). So if God has given you a desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, then it's because it's His will for you to receive this gift. But, the key to receiving the gift is childlike faith. When you have a desire to speak in tongues, the worst thing you can do is believe that it's not for you because only certain people have this gift. This is what I believed for years and that's the reason why I never received it (even though I had a desire). Once I decided to just have faith, that's when I received the gift! If you have a desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, then I encourage you to ask God for it :)

Jesus said that those who believe in Him,out of their innermost being/ belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water. John chapter 7 verses 38 and 39.
The Holy Spirit is this Living water or life giving water.
The more you thirst after God the more He fills you with His Spirit.
You can be a believer in Christ without speaking in tongues. But to be effective in spiritual manifestations of God you will need more of the Holy Spirit. The Lord will fill your cup to overflow with his Spirit.
The Key is to know more of the Holy Spirit while living for Christ Jesus. Yes, we have to live in this natural world but when we connect with God's Spirit, the Spirit will guide us into all truth.

Many Chrsitians stumble at the very strangeness of speaking in languages you have never learned. On the one hand some Christians think that its only meant to preach the Gosple to speakers of other languages. There is no doubt that that has happened in various places.
But to believe that you can speak in unlearned languages as a prayer to God, is beyond their imagination.
The3 same people will often laud what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:27 - "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"
I want those people who have difficulty in believing that God would give an unlearned language to a believer as a meams of personal prayer, to apply this statement of Paul to this gift of speaking in tongues as a prayer language.
It sounds foolish to the rational mind - too many Christians try to understand the Bible (NT) - with their rational minds - but it is a matter of the spirit. So while it sounds foolish even to many Christians, just remember that God does chose foolish things to confound any rational mindset. Surrender to Jesus Christ and let Him bless you fellow believer.

I follow Jesus and live my life according to the Bible. I am not a part of any denomination.
I personally don’t believe in separate denominations (1 Corinthians 3:4). We are all followers of Jesus. From my experience, denominations ultimately divide the body of Christ.
