I actually had a powerful very comforting presence enter the house twice and it filled me completely with love joy and peace and the last time was in 2020 January, but I never ever was transformed. I just went to church and sang gospel songs and was good with the bible and studied the bible but no change occurred in me ever. Weeks ago in 2023, one night extreme joy entered my heart and happiness and love but not peace In don't think and so did heat enter my heart and my brain but that only lasted one night and day. My brain was healed
What a wondeful testimony. I'm seeking to be filled and have been for some time now, but I know it's coming. I just keep trusting that God is leading me where I need to go.
Before I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues I didn't really understand the Word. Afterwards, when I got home and opened my Bible to read a little before bed I was amazed. Suddenly, the Word took on more depth and I became aware of the Spirit I had recieved guiding me and teaching. Most believers that haven't recieved the Spirit baptism believe what pastors tell them the Word means and not what it actually means.
When i had prayed for and the Lord filled me with the Holy Spirit the pastor told me to surrender my tongue to the Holy Spirit. So i opened my mouth and just relaxed my tongue as my way of surrendering it After a few seconds i felt the Holy Spirit seize control of my tongue and i began to fluently speak in tongues. The first i knew that i was doing it was i heard myself.
Well you know it's genuine when it makes you cry. I love that you came to see the full truth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I'm beyond happy for you and thankful for this testimony. So many more people need to hear these very accurate testimonies.
Hello. Get rid of Hillsong material and any other material that is not true gospel. ( If not sure come back to this step later) But get rid of Hillsong, Bethel and test any pastors you may listen to ( do a google on false prophets) This is what I did: 1. Right down every sin you can think of that you ever committed from as far back as you can remember, not to worry if you remember others only later, you can just repent as they pop up. 2. Begin to repent verbally behind closed doors for each sin, no matter how disgusting evil or wicked, make sure to repent. 3. You will begin to weep deeply but do not stop keep on till you finish the list. 4. I told God I did not want free will any more, I told God I want my will to only be His. ( The Lord is my Sheperd I shall not want) 5. Then after asking for forgiveness, ask God to cleanse you for any witchcraft, magic, tarot card, fortune telling, spiritualists, star signs, astrology, bondages or any other evil over your life. 6. Worship the Lord, confess Him as your Lord and saviour, thank Him for dying for you that you may live through His precious blood. 7. Read your bible more than anything else. Forget tv, games, movies, books, clubs, fleshy desires, lust of the eyes and flesh. Live Holy and righteous. See you in heaven. :D

This is an answer to my prayer! I’ve had water baptism by my pastor but not baptism in the Holy Spirit where Jesus is the One baptizing. I want that!!!! Blessings to you dear sister for sharing. ❤
Believe you have received in faith and dont rely on a feeling. For as much as you want more of Jesus, He wants more of you too! Keep surrendering to Him, know He loves you with the deepest love. He earnestly wants to reveal Himself and His truth to you and that amazing. He is so good! His love is so deep.

And me specifically, i want to be ao full of the Holy Spirirt and used, but aometimes i question if ive been filled. I know im sealed, but the baptism is different. I've been prayed for multiple times to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and never really felt anything. I do speak in tongues although it's usually when I'm by myself. But there's such a boldness and a fire that comes with the baptism that I wonder if I truly have it or not. But your testimony really resonated with me, and I'm going to walk in belief that I have already received it.
It sounds like you have. When you have that desire to seek the Lord, your desires become Gods desires. You desire more of God and that is fruit of Him in you. As we grow in our walk we have to grow to not rely on a feeling but trusting in His promises.
Ask him to fill you again... We need to continually be filled. In Acts... The apostles were filled again after their initial baptism. You can ask him everyday. All we have to do is come with a humble and surrendered heart and ask. He's so loving and wants us to walk in his fullness. It's us that walk around on empty without the joy of the Lord sometimes, but we have to fight the enemy... Take every thought captive. Lord please fill our cups to overflowing... Father you are so, so good. Thank you. 🙏❤️

sometimes i have trouble beliving i have it cause one night i was dealing with pain in my body and i started praying next thing i know this power comes over me and im healed and i started praying in tounges cause i had been trying to get it so i tried it in faith i belive i got healed and tounges that night but i still struggle with if i did even tho i feel like i did ;P
You can stand on the Word and the Word will keep you straight and you wont waver in belief. We receive more revelation of who God is as we surrender more of ourselves to Him. He earnestly desires a relationship with you.

Long time believer but asking a lot of questions just like you. When you said “Is this real ?” I immediately responded to myself Yep - that’s me. When you mentioned wondering what other gifts applied, I said YEP. So far, I have not experienced (tongues) the bubbling up that many have described; including you. However, I know that it’s 100% a faith thing even though I don’t think I have it yet. I’ve been reading books on spiritual gifts for the believer. So far I have been attempting to yield/practice syllables as well as asking Holy Spirit to speak through me. I have even had someone pray over the phone with me for the baptism. I understand everyone is different, so far I’m speaking but it hasn’t flowed yet. I try (practice??) almost every day. My time in the Bible has increased as have the books I have read “Kenneth Hagen Tongues: Beyond the upper room” and Scott MckNight “Open to the Spirit”. Sometimes I think my brain gets in the way of my progress. God is so big. Wow ! What are you thoughts and/or suggestions?
I agree with you that our rational mind gets in the way. Since you have prayed for it, i would advance as if you have received it. For a while i would think "what if i surrender myself and in that surrender the enemy comes instead?" That is a lie from the pit. If we ask for the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus He is not going to give us a snake or a stone. Luke 11:11. Keep praying, repenting, confessing, walking with the Lord. He wants good things for you. He wants it more than you even. However dont think you are less than, or not good enough, if you havent experienced a prayer language. Its not a status symbol. Your heart wanting more of God thats where its at. Stay in that place of loving God and wanting to know Him.

I’m still learning and I have been purging my home of some things lately so that was so encouraging to hear! Does your husband have a testimony we could watch too? The Holy Spirit is not a feeling. When a person accepts the sacrifice Jesus made for their sins they are saved and receive the Holy Spirit. We experience more of the Holy Spirit working through us when we surrender more to Him. That is the sancifying process of denying the flesh and living in obedience to the Lord. Its a lifestyle of reading His Word, prayer, fellowship with other believers when possible. Sancification is a process. The Lord is gentle as he guides us and we become more like Jesus in the process.

Not in that way of prayer language. He was prayed for to recieve the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
