I stopped stressing myself about when I will be current . I am just living my life without putting them in my plans . I will be ready whenever they are ready ❤❤
I've been learning so much more about EB2 process with you compared to other channels managed by lawyers/law firms on TH-cam. I'm not sure why, but their explanations often seem less genuine and more like idle chatter. I appreciate your clear and straightforward way of describing things; it makes complex information easier to grasp. You are exceptionally well-prepared and knowledgeable. While I haven't subscribed to your course yet, I plan to do so in late September. I'm currently considering applying for an EB2-NIW and hope to proceed with my application in December. Thank you for all the insights you've provided.
I appreciate those words, with messages like this one it is very rewarding to continue this mission :) I just try to tell it like it is, and explain it in the best way I can. I will welcome you in the course come September. Good luck!
EB1 and EB2 really moved forward surpirisingly despite the previous note from the USCIS that there might be retrogression. Only EB3 retrogressed by 1 year? Seriously? Does the DOS playing with greencard applicants? 😅
The reason why there is no one set date for when the visa bulletin will be released is because of bureaucracy. The DOS has to get the data from USCIS which has to get data from all the field offices. The DOS themselves have to collect the data from all the consulates then tabulate it. Which has to get clearance before being released. So working in a large government agency with poor management this maybe too much of an ask for them unfortunately.
Yes, I think you nailed it. To be honest, by implementing internal deadlines for each process this could be resolved, but as you said...maybe too much to ask for! :D
Thank you for the update. Very informational. Is there any way to get an idea of the size of the backlog? It'd be interesting to try and gauge how many applications are actually processed per month per category per chargeability area...
Hello Oscar. My PD is Sept 6, 2022 ( Jamaica) and I became current March 1, 2024, but still awaiting interview. Given this July retrogression does that means i will also be affected?
If you are in EB1 or EB2 (the focus of the video)...there was no retrogression in this bulletin. For other categories, unfortunately I am not following them
Thank you for a very very informative video!! I appreciate the in-depth explanation and fingers crossed it doesn't regress till the end of the year. Your charts in the later-half of the video are GOLD!!!
Hi Oscar, Thank you for your consistency in keeping us informed. Much appreciated. A quick question please - When applying from overseas, do we address our letters to the US Consulate General in our Countries or Address it to the USCIS office address in the US even though we know we are submitting our documents to the Conuslate General in our countries. Thanks
Thank you very much @Oscar for your efforts at making things lucid for us. Actually, I had the premonition on 31 May that the retrogression might not happen. This was based off of the fact that I once again received that NVC sends every 60 days to tell you that your case is still in line. Moving forward, over at Lagos Consulate, we don't have much happening regarding EB2-NIW for folks that have been current and DQed since March 2023.
I should use you for predictions then! hehe Too bad to hear about Lagos, unfortunately becoming current is not the end of the road and some consulates are known to be really slow and have their own backlog
I definitely think that they should announce what day the will release the via builtin, 2 days ago I checked the visa bulletin and didn't realize that this was the old builtin, and got disappointed. And I think that there won't be retragration for eb-2 since they warned eb-3 but not eb-2

Hi Oscar, I watched your video and checked out the table at the end, but I'm still a bit confused. My Priority Date (PD) is September 15, 2023, under the EB2-NIW category. When do you think I can expect my date to be current? Also, do you know which U.S. consulate is known for having no backlog among Montreal, Sydney, London since I have an option to move among them? Thank you so much for your help and the informative video!
consulate info is not public for immigrant visas unfortunately... and your PD is not current, you will have to keep checking every month until your PD is earlier than the date on the visa bulletin
@@OscarsGreenCard I was also wondering the same. But am trying to understand what being "current" means? This mean that for a person who files I-140 by end of june can expect to have a GC response in 15 months? Is that when they'll be "current"? 🤔

Once your PD is current you may be called for an interview but it can take additional months depending on their schedule
