Robert is an awesome dude. Iv got his 8892 on my 6.0 and havn't had any complaints. Your radio show episode with him is one of my favorites. He always gives out great information.
Now that's what I call a tomato slicer. I loved my 7874 xona rotor 😮
Thanks for the information and the discount. Just ordered one for my Camaro, only two left in stock lol
Rob was my favorite guest on the podcast. Wealth of knowlege
The fp/xona turbos are badass.
Learned a lot of new info on turbo’s, thanks for hosting the FP guys!
Robert is the coolest. I’m stoked for this project!
It would probably help customer education for Robert to post the inducer/exducer specs on the website so people can resolve any misconception with how he names his turbos.
PR of 2:1 on both compressors is 4:1! 45 psi. The power of multiplication. UHF turbine wheels are the real deal, the one on my 62mm Xona Rotor turbine has done very well compared to standard type turbine wheels.
I'm pumped to see this happen...might have to rethink my twin setup
Love seeing this technology trickle down into the cost effective options! Might have to try this bad girl on the mustang.
Sick!! This is going to be fun!
Robert is awesome !! Sloppy has been knocked off my algraryhthm, had to search to see if Matt’s alive !!
i remember that weird al yankovic movie UHF Lmao Theres a guy i follow with a twin charged barra in a holden torana and the thing lights instantly.
Weird Al and Barra all in the same comment. What a great thing!
This is going to be exciting
i love this turbo for real tho. perfect for my 8 second street car.
15:07 Gale Banks would disagree. I'd bet you would really enjoy true intercooling.
Exciting tech
Great information here
FP makes great stuff, I've used their stock location turbos on Subaru's for years.
Big spooley boi
That's one way to say hybrid wheel in so many extra words
I think a twinscrew blower with the turbo would be a more interesting combo, but still interested in seeing it regardless.
I thought that too but I think a twin-screw would prevent the air from going in the way you want it too because the screws only allow a certain amount anyways so it would kind of make the turbo are hard to tune or almost unnecessary to make more boost that's why I can't wait to see how it goes because there's just not enough info
@@freedomfox8183 but it would be fed condensed air. It would work the same as compound turbo. It just would have positive displacement down low and even more tq production in low to medium rpm. But maybe too much tq. lol
@@4familymanCheck out Norris Design. His blower will disengage and bypass once the turbo is spooled up.Probably fun for I street car or super big power, but for me the new turbo tech spool fast enough.
Nice 👌🏻
i daydream of twin-charging my old wrx to get some low end torque.
The grannas racing super need some xona rotor turbos. He just did a compound setup on his orange man bad Supra
Been watching that
I was telling someone you can change wheel on a turbo they didnt believe me
How does this s400 stack against a gt55 base? I have one of your budget s480 going on 2 yrs and a drag and drive. It’s done very well. I’m really considering this new turbo being a drop in replacement. Thanks
That's a gangster ass turbo. This is gonna be Kool..
I want one for my 408
So what flows better the xona or 92x99?
I wonder what this UHF tech would do in a GT55 series turbo, like a 100mm UHF turbine and a 98-102mm compressor. 2500hp+ turbo? 😳
She's a beaut Clark
I got a 98 Chevy truck I'm putting lq4 with 799 heads e85 sloppy best cam Holley cpu wanna do 600 to 800 whp what turbo should I use. this is a junkyard build low budget need a cheap turbo
How would that run on a 408 ls stroker?
Whys he got that blur filter
Is there a new discount code? I tried ordering this turbo today and it didnt work.
30 lbs on the way
Give me the baby
If robert is sifting through commets haha do you think this is too much turbo for a 4.0l inline 6 barra shooting for 1k rwhp?
It will make a lot more than 1000whp. You could go a bit smaller and have more response if the goal is 1000whp. His Hd8082 would be a good choice. Or even better a Xona 10569s
You could also hit that number with a $500 eBay Chinese s480 clone so I guess it depends on how big of a spender you are
@@chipcurrey653 boost threshold also matters for a street driven car. An s480 on a 4.0l will of course make 1000whp but also be a turd. The HD8082 is only $850 from FP and would be better suited. Yes the Xona is $2k but it’s next level of spool and performance. Even the little 68mm 9569s would make 1000whp.
Power under the line, it will be less peaky
@@4familyman where is there any dyno testing on this? Richard holdener has the 75mm compressor version of that 8082 in videos (the 7582) and the turbine side does not look 1000 crank HP capable, or maybe just barely in his super ideal conditions. I had the fp 8082 on an lq4 6.0 with the ss2 on my last Buick and now I have a $288 eBay s475 on an ly6 6.0 with the sloppy best cam in my new Buick. It makes more power per pound of boost and both spooled before converter stall speed. It isn't apples to apples due to the better heads but I am interested in any testing that shows the standard t6 hot sides on the s400 series are turds in real world conditions.
.
LOL very strange interview format
