Check if it had leaks causing air to go in Also you might want to check the thermostat sometimes the thermostat is bad causing it to not open which causes the coolant to not be able to circulate
How you know it was a sensor ? My m35 gauge fluctuates , barely but doesn’t overheat. Changed thermostat and was same thing. My water pump isn’t making noises , so I guess it has to be this
I did my thermostat and radiator, did a pressure test and I have a big ish leak from my reservoir and bubbles from there but I could check the sensor too?
Did you resolve this? You might need to release some air pressure through the release valve behind the engine. What was your issue reason you have to replace both thermostat and radiator?
Thanks Brodie I was having issues Turing my Z on after long runs when the engine was warm I swapped the temp sensor like you did and the issue resolved instantly 🙏
I ended up using an Allen wrench to press the tab in because the limited space and once I seen some space i had to pull and wiggle over and over and over finally got it off tho
I have a 09 infiniti M35, I brought the same exact part for the temp sensor & it ended up not working , the original one I took out was grey, should I replace it with a grey temp sensor? Or the colors doesn’t matter
I don’t think you do. I changed the thermostat after this so I used a non spill funnel to replace the lost coolant. It’s a process to refill but the G35s are known to overheat if there’s an air pocket left.
Need help! Coolant temp gauge does not read, bulb is also out behind dash but I’m worried about the reading. Could this sensor being faulty cause the gauge not to read in dash
Initially my temp needle wasn’t working so I changed the coolant temp sensor. Still didn’t work so I had to keep smacking the side of my gauge cluster to get my temp needle to move. Ended up buying a new gauge cluster and swapping it out. I would start with the sensor first and eliminate potential problems from there.
@@DankGearFit I don’t think I disconnected the battery. Just unplug the wiring harness. Unscrew the whole sensor and reverse the steps to reinstall. A little coolant is going to spill out.
i got a 2004 g35 coupe and it overheats while driving and cools when idleing do you think it could be this?
I’d like to know too

It triggered a DTC on my 350z. ECT sensor circuit high. Used all data to diagnose it

Owner before me said he changed the sensor and it does look new but I can’t get it off at all
Is there bubbles coming up when you take the radiator cap off?

Did you already have the system drained?

I have the same no start issue after warming up. About to try this.🙌
thank you brodie
Did you have to drain any coolant prior to doing this?
I cant seem even get the electrical connector off can you tell me how?!
same you cut it off when you were struggling lmk what you used
Same
I was looking for this comment. Any update?

Does this affect the ac by any chance?

Same issue what u do
Bro get the part for you car not this one it’s different the colors matter
Thank you
if i see the needle on my temp gauge in the dashboard go from C to H from a start is it still a temperature sensor issue?
That should be the thermostat
Do you have to bleed coolant or anything after?

how did u take the connection off ? you cut the video then it was already off. A
You just gotta work it and mess with it use flat heads or pliers

@@gioxptv damn that’s bullshit, thanks I’ll start with the sensor

@@gioxptv could that cause issues if it spills out? Did you bleed it
