Lower hose is still cold and my heat isn’t working, replaced thermostat and tried bleeding it. I’m using the funnel kit but I’m not sure if I’m using it right lol i installed the funnel, opened the bleeder valve , filled the radiator till it over flowed and closed the bleeder after. Filled the funnel just a little so air wouldn’t get sucked in and turned the heat on full blast before I started the car. Before I started the car I did squeeze both hoses and I got bubbles from both. Once the car was started bubbles did come up but I have to keep turning it off after a while because the coolant will go in volcano mode. In your video are you saying to put the radiator cap back on after I put the bleeder back on and hold it at 3k for 10 seconds? How would the bubbles be released if I put the radiator cap back on?
When you do this process the air in the system will be cycled through until it reaches the top (e.g. the bleeder valve and radiator cap). So after you turn off the car and remove the bleeder valve and radiator cap you will not see coolant and you will need to fill it back up (do it several times until it's full of coolant when you open it). If you run the car with the bleeder valve and radiator cap off the air will push the coolant out all over your engine bay.
you can get a thing that sits on top of where the radiator goes to catch the coolant if it overflows. Ive also never heard of bleeding a car with the radiator cap on. The air has to have somewhere to go. If the cap is on and the air is still making it out, that means there has to be an opening somewhere else, aka a hole or something.
Working on my 04 g35 today and so far I’ve replaced the stat, put a new hose on the bottom, new fans because only one was working, and still the bottom hose doesn’t heat up while the top hose is hot, I’ve tried the bleeding method you’ve demonstrated, Heats gets hot then it cools a bit, lower radiator hose still cool and then both fans turn due to over heating, I just bought a new radiator but I’m not sure if I need to install it
I would definitely keep trying the bleeding method. It can take several times to get all the air pockets out of the cooling system. It seems like their is still air in it causing flow restrictions. You also definitely have air in it after replacing the thermostat and hose. If that's not it it possibly could be the waterpump but usually it's not.
My brother has a 05 Nissan 350z and we changed his thermostat , when we try to bleed his car the radiator knocks ? Could that be the issue aswell the radiator, never heard a radiator knock before . First check to see if there are any leaks. If there are no leaks you need to keep doing this process in the video. You definitely have air in the system if the bleeder valve is empty. Make sure when you are doing this process the radiator cap and bleeder valve are level. When you add coolant to the g35 it's really easy to get air in it and you have to do this process. Also it will probably take 5-6 times of this process to get all the air out(it's a long process).

It sounds like you have air in the cooling system. Try doing the full process in the video. Getting all the air out takes a while and can be a pain. It took me a couple of hours to get it all out.
I changed the fans and the thermostat and the car still running hot, and I bleed it ain no shit comin out except air. I think its leakin too the antifreeze goin out. What you think the problem is ? It getting too hot
You think its the waterpump it ain taking the fluid to the engine as soon I start it up and it heats, the car starts heating up. The bleeding screw it taking air out.
The leak could differently cause the overheating. When the cooling system leaks it will start to suck in air which will cause air pockets that blocks the flow. Try putting a piece of cardboard under the engine to see exactly where the leak is coming from. After replacing the leak do the process in the video several times to get all the air out of it.
You might have to replace the fan but check the fan relays first. They are behind your battery in the fuse box. (The big boxs in the middle of the fuse box)
Check your oil level I had this issue last night not having oil the car, going in to first gear overheated to H then I shut it off and was like wtf. I ended checking my oil and there was none the car burned it up on me.
Mine kinda blew a buncha coolant everywhere, never overheated before but it did tonight, all hoses are tight and secure can't find where all the coolant came from quite possibly the cap it can only handle 13 psi
I would try to replace your radiator cap first. When I did have air in my cooling system it did pop the radiator cap off and shot coolant everywhere several times.
So my car is over heating, I more or less flushed my coolent, replaced the thermostat, and my car doesn’t blow hot air until it wants to even when the indicator says it’s hot, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t
Did you try this process in the video? It will take 5-6 times to get all the air out of the system. Whenever you add coolant to the g35 you most of the time will also get air in the system.

I have a m35x 08 replaced thermostat, radiator, and fans still over heating was told water pump was good
tried doing this but after a while coolant starts gushing out like a volcano still overheats and no hot air comes out
Same
Mine kinda blew a buncha coolant everywhere, never overheated before but it did tonight, all hoses are tight and secure can't find where all the coolant came from quite possibly the cap it can only handle 13 psi
I would try to replace your radiator cap first. When I did have air in my cooling system it did pop the radiator cap off and shot coolant everywhere several times.
Would it sound like a hissing sound?
Is it a loud screeching noise? Or is it just a little noise? And is the car overheating?
Wdym when you say level
What was the problem I think I’m having it
So my car is over heating, I more or less flushed my coolent, replaced the thermostat, and my car doesn’t blow hot air until it wants to even when the indicator says it’s hot, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t
I’m not sure what it could be
Did you try this process in the video? It will take 5-6 times to get all the air out of the system. Whenever you add coolant to the g35 you most of the time will also get air in the system.
Especially after a coolant flush.
I changed my thermostat but mine is still trying to run hot ima you to try this !
I’m going too *
VloneJackBoi_YT what was it? The water pump
More info buddy I also changed thermostat seems like it's still hot!
Thats happening to me now exactly!! On my 350z
My g35 was smoking like a cigarette
Should I buy a g35 that over heats with the check engine on ?
If you need it for daily driving I wouldn't recommend buying it. Overheating can be caused by a lot of different things that could be major.
No
I have a 2008 g35 sedan and my fans stop turning on so i installed new cooling fans and I would start the car and they would stay on for 5 minutes and then turn off and wont turn on again anyone know what might be causing this issue?
Sorry for the late response. Did you figure it out? Most likely it is a wiring problem. Check your fan relays first
I’m about to buy a 350z that has an overheating problem and I was considering what might be wrong. I’m pretty sure it’s this
When you're looking at it check the oil cap to see if there is any white milky looking substance on it. You want to make sure it's not a blown head gasket. Also look under the car while it's running to see if there are any leaks. Good luck with the purchase! You'll love the Z
unBEATableCars TV Thank you! I’ll check those things out. Putting them on my “check this” list 😂
My car has a new radiator, new silicone hoses and thermostat and is still overheating. My car ac fan turns on but not the other one. And my heat doesn’t get hot unless revved
@@itz_ur_boy_kevin6597 I’m having the same issue did you get it figured out?
Just bought a car from a 18 year old and he said he finished chaging the radiator fluid and it started over heating, i fixed it by doing this and now i have a nismo 350z😭😭
So does the g35/g37 kill the motor when the computer realizes the coolant is getting too hot ?
Yes
@@TheKidAustin09 thanks I had blew a heater hose connector and thought I blew the motor limping it home lol
Yes mine went into limp mode before the radiator exploded
Yea I blown my motor because of it, in the process of replacing everything now
@@GetBacc3x use rotella t6 oil. I swear it was the only reason my motor aint blow up
I got overheating right now but not leaking.
Thanks for the video but it makes seem like you can do this in minutes. Why did it take you hours?
You gotta repeat the process untill you get all the air out of the cooling system. Look up motordyne coolant flush video
Randy Ignacio thanks dude appreciate it
@@Randyxp19 Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/o13izIyEI4o/w-d-xo.html
My g35 only over heats when I’m Idle and when I drive it’s fine. Anybody know why
Could be the fans are not working properly.
@@unbeatablecarstv890 I have the same issue and I replaced the radiator and thermostat and it’s still happening. What could this be?
@@CallMeSparks same here...
@@CallMeSparks Might be you water pump or temp sensors. Did you ever find the fix?
i just picked up a g35 and the car started to overheat 5 days after i got the car, i just added antifreeze to the car and the car started to overheat on my way to work anybody know why this happened?
my g35 doesnt overheat at all when idle but when i drive for a couple minutes it starts to overheat. can anyone help me?
Could be air in your system, a bad thermostat, bad water pump or low coolant. Did you try this process in the video?
unBEATableCars TV no I’ve never tried this process but it could be that honestly. I got my radiator changed and didn’t start overheating until after I got it changed and I can sometime hear a whistle sound come back every couple seconds from my engine. I changed my thermostat last night too and still had the same result
@@xqxc it definitely sounds like you have air in it. Its very easy to get air in the cooling system and just a little bit of air can cause overheating
unBEATableCars TV thanks for the advice. I’m gonna have to try that out. I’ve been frustrated with my car for a while now. Hopefully that is what the problem is.
unBEATableCars TV another quick question I have is when my car overheats are both fans supposed to start spinning or only one? I’ve currently only got one fan spinning when my car overheats
I never had problem with my G35 one day my battery died so when I jumped my car idk why my radio turned off... My AC is nuts it works but it stays on all the time I can not turn it off or up or down or I can't make it cold or hot so right now it comes out cold and that's it there's nothing I can do about it this morning my car overheated I don't know shit about car..can u help me out
Does the battery keep dying or was it just that one time? Is the temperature gauge going all the way into the red? Has anything been replaced in your car recently? Do you notice anything leaking under your car?
@@unbeatablecarstv890 I bought the car 3 months ago so I don't know what has happened to it but once I jumped my car that was it radio off and ac on all the time
IPDM
@Ryan B I fixed it I was very low on oil and coolant once I put that in the car the car stopped over heating
Also the radio works now and the AC I change the fuse when I gave my car a jump my friend put the cables on the wrong one so it cause it to fuse
Thank u so much
Man having same issue ima try it tmr morning
Just did that, but sadly i’ve to replace water pump :/
How could u tell? My G overheating too and I’m trying to narrow down the problem
@@TheChurro510 its kinda Hard, if you already change the coolant bulb, thermostat and it keeps overheating, the most probably thing is failing is the water pump, mine cost 40 bucks, and the instalation cost me 120 bucks
Gonna try this out in the morning... I'll lyk if I doo it right
How'd it go?
Emmanuel Wesley .....
??
I just recently replaced my radiator Nd thermostat due to overheating and a leak in the previous radiator and after a a while now it’s starting to overheat again
Make sure there is no air in the system. The smallest air bubble can cause overheating.
@1:28 in the video shows how to bleed the air out. Do that process several times and you should get all the air out.
Question
Why didn’t you actually do it and show us? Cause all you did was point the camera
Btw I have no coolant leaks, no milky oil, and no white smoke so I don’t think the head gasket is the issue
Just changed my thermostat on my 08 G35 i let it idle and it was on its way to heating up. I did not bleed it. So I’ll be trying that next. Also I’m pretty sure I have a leak in my lower hose. Some of the coolant I put in came out the second time I started the car. But didn’t leak on the first start up. Any reason that is? Also do I have to jack the car up in order to bleed or can I bleed it from it’s parked position?
