  • Harriet De Wit, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and behavioral neuroscience at the University of Chicago (‪@UChicago‬), discusses “Microdosing: Fact or Fiction.” The lecture was recorded March 23, 2023, at the Psychedelic Summit on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California.
The UC Davis Psychedelic Summit brought together national experts to explore what the rapidly evolving field of psychedelics and neurotherapeutics may mean for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. These new treatment types may hold promise for anxiety, depression, substance use, obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress disorders, among others. The event was hosted by the UC Davis Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the UC Davis Institute for Psychedelics and Neurotherapeutics, and the UC Davis Behavioral Health Center for Excellence.

I have been depressed for a long time, but after taking shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.

It had a tremendous effect on my chronic migraines, and I've heard people take it for cluster headaches too. I don't think it's placebo in my case, because I've taken so many medications expecting them to work, and almost nothing happened. This worked almost immediately. After two days my "background headaches" almost vanished and I haven't had a migraine for almost two weeks now, which is extremely rare for me.

It’s insane to me in how long it takes to get a great thing into the general population. But we can get all other kinds of pills 💊into the general public that kill people everyday . Grind some up put a teaspoon into some tea ☕️ or coffee or water . And enjoy 😉

Psychiatry is big, money making field in big pharma, so ofcourse you will do what ever to try to sabotage this basicly free way of taking care of yourself ❤ They would lose sooo much money!!!

yey:) Ive been tripping my whole life. First time I was jsut 14 years old (im 53 now). I ate 250 raw magic mushrooms. That trip is imprinted upon my soul. My brain developed on psylocibin. I microdose when Im very busy or doing some creative work. Work like wonders everytime :D Especially with my bass playing. If your locked up in some bad training patterns you pop right out of it when microdosing and you suddenly sit there with a cool riff. But if youre going to do a proper research of your subconsciousness I recommend a high dose. Thats the only way to have a vivid dialog with your subconsciousness and to do some real healing and face your demons if you have some (for real). Please dont correct my grammar.

Mother nature will always be more powerful than us humans. We’ll never be able to scientifically categorize and figure out this beautiful gift on earth from the gods. You can muck it up all you want with science, taking the spirituality and creativity out of it, which seriously pisses off the spirits, but it will never be what it was made for with scientists trying to “figure it out” for all. Aboriginals know this best. I do agree that dosing should be talked about and experiences shared. All we have to do is legalize it to get there. Stigma created by what the government has done to this absolutely wonderful medicine can only be broken by transparency in conversation, bonding , support, encouragement and love. In my opinion it is a disservice to people seeking healing to try to figure this out scientifically and then make promises and suggestions based on that. Powerful brain portal substances enter the hero that takes them and do the healing alongside a willing, submissive and respectful user.

I like to check all kinds of studies and what is the dicussion in the field. Where pharmaceutic-studies fail, is same as in here; they are treating psychedelics same as "man-made drugs". For example, whes she says things like "no drug can effect multiple things" (well, you can heal multiple problems with good diet, not just one), and other things... medicinal field is not going to be the right field for studiyng this, because their styles of studies doesn't fit for this properly, and they dont understand that this cannot be compared to western medications.

I found taking a macro dose once a week is what provided the best affects, anywhere from half a tab to 3/4 a tab. It’s so weird how it works, I find being high from it for 1-2 hours allows me to do mental complex planning that I simply could not compute in my regular state of mind.
