      Great question. My suggestion is to keep wearing your clear retainer over the bottom teeth until you can get in to the office to have the permanent one repaired. That should make sure your bottom teeth stay straight. Hope this helps!

    Hi. If I choose Invisalign and move in the middle of the treatment, will I have to go to a new doc or will it suffice if I keep changing the sets by myself as per the old doctor's instructions

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! It really depends on the circumstances of your move. Most of the time if a patient is moving far away and can't make it back for regular appointments, then we will transfer their care to a new provider. If it's somewhere close (or the patient is a college student, for example, and planning to come home a lot during their breaks) then we can continue treating them. Hope this helps.

    Hello doctor! I’m on my 14/45 aligners and the treatment is supposed to be a 7month 4 days change. I git the treatment from canada and now moving to Seattle in July. I’ve paid everything in full up front and am thinking to transfer my plan. What would you suggest?

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. We’d suggest having a discussion with your current orthodontist about your plans and working something out with them. If you end up transferring your care, they may refund part of your fee if the treatment isn’t complete.

    • @GluckOrthodontics

      Good question! Moving out of the country is a little more challenging. Thanks to Google, it’s easier to find new orthodontists in the place patients are moving to. The overall process would be the same - send transfer records and notes, have a new consultation, etc. T main thing we don’t know much about is how orthodontic fees work outside the US. We’d be interested in learning!

      Great question. Are you wearing braces or aligners? It is much easier to manage aligner cases from a distance, while braces cases usually are better treated with the orthodontist in the same town. We'd suggest having a discussion with your current orthodontist to see what they recommend as well.

    I put the down payment down for my daughter's Invisalign. The Dr told me he would not order her Invisalign until she got her teeth pulled. I told him now that I didn't want her teeth to be pulled, but he already went ahead and ordered her Invisalign which is now at the office for pickup. He told me that I have to pay for the intake or something like that which is $1900, then he could transfer to another orthodontist. I'm literally paying the monthly fee, but haven't received any invisalign. The other orthodontist has said that she does not need to pull her teeth. Does this sound accurate?

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the comment! That's a tough situation. We can't really comment on the topic of whether teeth need to be pulled or not. But, we have had a situation in which we order Invisalign for a patient, and paid Invisalign their fee. A few weeks later, the patient decided not to move forward with treatment. We refunded the patient everything they paid, and asked discussed the situation with our Invisalign rep. The rep was able to refund our fee to them, and everyone was back to even. Not sure if that can happen in your situation though. Since we are a high volume Invisalign provider, we are able to have a little more leeway with stuff like that. What you may end up having to do is pay the initial orthodontist for the Invisalign fee, then transfer care to the other orthodontist. Since you already paid for Invisalign, they may discount their fee for that amount. Good luck!

    Hi! Great videos! Just wanted to ask - it's been 6months since I am off my retainers,now my teeth havr begun to shift,so I wore my retainers ( plastic invisible one) and accidentally I bit into them, there's a huge crack in it. Since it's lockdown ,we are stuck. What to do? I am not able to contact my orthodontist.Can I use super glue?

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the question. Does the retainer still "fit" even though there is a crack in it? If so, then I suggest wearing it a few hours a day until your orthodontist is open again and can make you a new one. I don't recommend using superglue as that may alter the retainer to put a force on the tooth, and make them move. Good luck!
