Holly crap, cooking is not that difficult. I'm just a regular guy (accountant), but have been cooking meals at home for over 35 years and could have easily kept up with Gorden as a teenager. It was comical to watch, his instructions are not that hard to follow.

Wow i wonder if there's some correlation between difficult and doing stuff for decades.
I agree cooking isn't all that difficult but you'd be surprised how many people never cook from scratch and don't know basic knife handling and cooking of various meats, making sauces etc, the foundations, and without any of that you have zero chance of cooking food like this in a timely manner, i think most people who don't have an interest in cooking would fail to recreate gordon's version.
Shane is all of us in class who's afraid of asking the teacher to SLOW DOWN and REPEAT!

The title of these always says that a person tries to keep up with a professional chef, but the chef usually waits for the person and goes at their pace. This is great because Gordon Ramsay isn't waiting. He's going at his own pace with just enough of a slow down to say out loud what he's doing.

I was thinking Gordon was a bit rough on the instruction at the start with the crab and had good sympathy. But when he cut 1cm+ squares out of peppers and considered that finely diced, didn't even bother mixing and didn't understand the concept of forming in a cookie cutter I lost sympathy.
