Here is what I did as a kid on long road trips. Take a three inch thick Sears or Montgomery Ward catalogue, and starting at the first page, fold the top right corner toward the binding. Then take the right edge of the same page and fold it toward the binding. Given enough time and miles you would end up with a nice doorstop. And ink stained hands!

I have a great life, and everything I ever hoped for, but I’m really inspired by your lifestyle and the choices you’ve made. It takes courage to sell everything and do what you’re doing. But those memories you’re creating as a family, and the way your daughter gets to grow up are priceless. It’s something that we as a society seem to have lost in the process of being “productive citizens” and all the burdens that come with it. Most of us are caught up in careers, mortgages, making sure we have health insurance, gear acquisitions, etc, but I think a many of us are longing for the freedom of nomadic life, and the call of nature. We may not be able to always escape the gold lined shackles of modern society, even doing what you guys do, but we can make choices, and try to live life to the fullest and keep exploring. It’s built into our DNA. Can’t wait for the next season of your adventures!

It takes more than courage, it takes $150,000 or more in trust fund withdrawal.

I liked the driving Q&A format the best. Seemed more natural and familiar than the sitting in a room with chairs and mics situation you’ve done in the past.

Fun fact: You are the only channel in my subscriptions that I have given a like on every video. Edit: About the roughing it: I quote one of my fav overlanding blogs: "anyone can 'rough-it' out there... we decided to have a go at 'over-landing in a bit of comfort'.

Sarah awesome tattoos on the left arm! As far as the guitar goes, you need a three string cigar box guitar. Small easy to pack and easy to play. Part of American history. I am a old guy that has done a lot of stuff in Arizona hunting, fishing, camping and ghost town hunting. Medical issues put me down for a while. But you guys are so awesome. This video has set me on the right track to start using my row 4x4 vehicles again. I live in Amarillo TX. and everything around here is privately owned, not many places to go. With that we may see each other on the roads in New Mexico. And again what a awesome family Keven, you guys rock!

Hi guys, love your vids, i'am from Namibia/Africa. Can't get enough of your travels. Me and wife traveling with a Willy's Jeep, 1945 model, rebuild - heavy, registered as a 1980 model. Busy with two other willy's jeeps, 1942 and a other 1945 model. Did have a good look of the gear you using, also building my own off road trailer, using similar suspension'. Did ever thinking of over landing Africa. Also using the 66 Liter Snow master freezer, excellent choice. Keep up with the vids, safe traveling.

You are actually one of the few people who say my name correctly on the first try without (I am assuming) hearing it first! I just bought a brand new toyota tacoma (2019) and am doing my first road trip/ camping trip this August for about 6 or 7 days. Am definitely planning on going to Alaska one of these times as well! Again a great video :). When you do end up coming here during the winter just try to make sure you have a engine block heater and grill cover (will keep a lot of the cold wind out as you are driving down the road) as well as decent winter tires.

Gosh, that ending if this video!!!
I just sat here and watched over 1 hour 20 minutes of video and you guys stopped at that quiet area and all standing infront of the car talking.
Sarah kept on giving you this "I LOVE YOU," look and you did not kiss her a bit? I just wanted to see you at that point pick up your little girl, then hug your wife and tell her something sweet and maybe a small kiss and then you all hug as the video fades. That would be so sweet!!!
Please, give such endings. You have a great family and show a lot of love and affection without actually showing it in the videos, but I can see it.
Add that to your videos. I just think you guys are so connected and know your love for each other is strong. Keep on doing what you guys are doing.

What changes or Improvements would you recommend TOYOTA to implement on future designs and the evolution of the 4runner or any other Offroad New Models of the future ? Thanks for sharing !! Happy Trails !!

Great meeting you both at Overland Expo West! On tires, seems like a lot of folks go with KO2's E load. For a little better highway ride, are C load sufficient off road?

Great segment. Thank you for your insight. One question I did not hear asked is, what do you do about showering? Showers (or the lack there of) is probably the biggest single impediment to getting my wife on board with camping. We both cringe at the thought of only camping at campsites that have shower/restroom facilities. SO, do you have a reasonable solution?
As always, thanks so much for sharing.

Hi guys, thanks for the great content! I have one question about your rig. What winch do you use? How do you like it? I believe you only used it once in season 1 to help out a fellow traveler. Thanks and safe travels!

Yeah, more than half of rigs with winch barely use it. Some even never use it but to play with it at home.
People with winches truly do not wish to be stuck where they have to use it. Just like we all carry spare tires and barely ever have to use it. It is there just in case.
Based on their travels and because they have a child, I would guess they may never want to put themselves in a situation where their rig would be challenged so bad that they will be needing a winch.

Thanks for doing this, I have a question about road crown. Do you find your 4Runner pulling to the right on roads and highway speed? I had an alignment after a 3" OME lift and 32" Falken Wildpeak AT3 and it pulls hard right.
