    I've done engines on the gen2 & 3, both normal injection and gdi. They're a bit of a pain to remove & fit, but when you start them up and they run like a Swiss watch, what a treat!!!!

    So happy you posted this. I always wished my montero had more power, what engine do you think would work well as a possible swap for a gen 1 montero?

      If you are really ambitions I’d look outside of the Mitsubishi world. An LS swap is probably the best move

      @@montanamontero I happen to have a 95 Cavalier 2.2L low miles pull that is tempting me. Ya gotta at least go Fuel Injection if swapping engines.

    How much would a job like this cost looking to possibly replace my engine just not not have any problems in the future for some good time?

    • @montanamontero
      @montanamontero  ปีที่แล้ว

      it will depend on the shop, many shops will charge for the job it's self, plus an additional fee for motor swaps since they are so involved and require all new fluids. i talked with my mechanic friend before doing this one and he said $2,000 just in labor.. i think the engine was another $2,000 but i can't remember

    Where'd you order the motor from?

    • @montanamontero
      @montanamontero  ปีที่แล้ว

      i'm not 100%, the owner sourced it
