I think the "Miis are inhuman" theory is actually true! Ingame there's dialogue where the Miis actually refer to themselves as Miis instead of people/human/etc (afaik it's in a few lines that can possibly show up when you click the "..." bubble in a Mii's apartment, & that one news thing where it talks about the worlds smallest Mii, implying that they're a whole species different from humans)
Interestingly, the contrary is true in Miitopia - the mii characters are referred to as humans/people on numerous occasions.
So what's the truth? the world may never know
Theory: the player in tomodachi life is a charecter in miitopia
miis are tiny compared to humans, you can see in some of the news reports that typically average sized things to humans appear much bigger when beside miis (example: the mountain report where the mountain in question is a mound of sand in a sandbox, but is considered very big by the miis)

Once a mii asked me something along the lines of “if there a memory you could get rid of, what would it be?”. When I answered “getting yelled at”, they said “whatever doesn’t delete your save file makes you stronger!”
The only other time I can think of a mii acknowledging the game files is when you’re about to delete your entire game. Also that question is just oddly deep and personal.
That line also implies the Mii characters die when you delete the save.
I got one where it was "would you rather be yelled at your whole life, or laughed at your whole life?" And it was weirdly personal.
There was another mention of a deleted save file, sometimes when getting a letter to go to the roof, the disguised mii will say “What happens when the save data is deleted?”

I have the korean rom of this game and here's a dream that I found: In the dream where a mii is spied on by another mii, instead of a ninja, the spy will wear traditional korean clothing with the long garment and black hat. I have yet to see a female variant of this dream, considering I haven't played it in a while, me not being korean, and the dream being a random encounter.

The travelers can actually interact with your islanders. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them in different areas, like the café, and my islanders won’t shut up about that cool traveler they met last month.
Yeah, one time the traveller even went into one of my mii's apartment, to talk about their adventures with them, when they got on my island a second time(honestly, since it was just my bff, brother and me our mii kiddos always stayed in that circle, could've been more times🤣)
i remember last year a traveler came to my island, but he hasn't left ever since.

@@snifferrr that's gonna be a bit challenging as no one really uses their DS anymore. And covid is still rampant here so you won't really be able to go anywhere. It's a very rare chance that you'll encounter anyone anyways. But yeah that's a great idea.
There were some things you missed
- Miis can abandon relationships for other Miis
-You can make your entire island celibate my removing the access to have babies
-Late at night when a Mii is sleeping, when they wake up from the dream there's a chance they'll look at you directly for a few seconds then go back to sleep
-During chat sessions they might talk about hearing "strange noises" from someone's apartment
-Mii fights can get intense with throwing things (i.e. throwing gold bars)

Ok, after watching the video, I’d love to hear more about the absolute bottom of the Iceberg: “DO NOT HAVE YOUR LOOK-ALIKE LOOK LIKE YOU”. It’s intriguing me in a weird way, with you mentioning alternate realities and all. Is there more to it?
This made me think of a werid creepy pasta I made up I guess right now
So someone made there look alike look like them but then the game started getting glitchy so they turned off there 3ds and went to bed,
When they woke up there room looked diffrent, it looked like there look alikes’s room then they saw a box with them there but it wasent them
Because they were there, then they noticed THEY BECAME THE MII and the there look alike became THEM, so the look alike made the mii suffer and then he deleted the save file deleting them. The game gets sold to another person then they make there look alike look like them and the story repeats, so now we are at the delete save file part, they decided to take care of the mii but then the game crashes and deletes the save file it’s self.

Let's not forget the fact that you can give your mii a camera and tell them to take a picture of someone and then they just come back with a picture of a group of miis, very stalker-like. And I personally use this to just turn all my miis into stalkers, which might be why my miis commonly and randomly get asked to meet on the tower.

I think getting rid of a mii baby has to do when a mii is “pregnant”. I’m not sure if this is exclusive to the Japanese version of the game, but in another iceberg video it covers this topic. I think it has to do with deleting one of the parents during the parent’s pregnancy and the baby is just not acknowledged again. A lot of people interpreted this in a dark way as abortion.

Once I deactivated the babies option on my island and i forgot that a couple was having a baby, I activated it again the same day. The next day they told me again they wanted to have a baby! THE OTHER BABY WAS FUCKING ABORTED

25:17 I remember I was deciding to delete my old island from when I was younger because it was just full of random spam miis I made when I was bored and the island was just overall crappy so I went to delete it and when I was trying to delete it my mii came on the screen begging me not to and I remember the moment I finally had erased and deleted the island and hearing the mii go “goodbye” I broke down in tears

Actually one of the dreams is when the mii is at a cafe or something then a window opens up and it’s a camera which will most likely show ur face. The mii seems SO freaked out, like they’ve never seen any species like that before... Very weird
I never believed Miis were humans but human-like creatures made to have look alikes.
(We're two Duncan Stans, I believe)
I have a name for this phenomenon too, I call it the “Pikmin” effect. Basically, this implies that the Miis are actually very tiny creatures who have never seen the real world before and would likely be very interested in everything that surrounds your life, kind of like how Pikmin are also a small species who have never seen the real world before
Some of our mii travelers are just siting there on other peoples islands, waiting one day to be picked up 😢
A few things that I think should've been on the iceberg:
On occasion, a Mii will get a letter from another Mii asking them to go to the roof. If they go to the roof, the Mii who sent them the letter will have a disguise on. They will usually say something funny and then leave, however one of the potential lines of dialogue is particularly creepy: "What happens to us when the save data is deleted?" This implies the Miis know they're in a video game, and they're afraid of the save data being deleted. More specifically, they're afraid of you, because if you get bored, then you might wipe away their whole lives and start over again.
There's a rare event which can happen if one of your Miis becomes sad called the Pity Party, which occurs at the cafe. It's kind of similar to the boys/girls hangout, however your Miis try and cheer up the Mii that's sad, but fail to do so. I've put over a hundred hours into Tomodachi Life and I didn't discover this until recently.
Among the interiors in the game, there are some really strange ones. The strangest one is modeled after a prison/dungeon cell. You can literally lock your Mii away in prison. There's also a really cheap interior which is basically all made of cardboard I believe, I can't really remember much about it though.
Apparently there was a special demo version of Tomodachi Life which let you transfer certain bonus items to the full copy of the game. I don't really remember much else about it though.
There was a theory that if you deleted a Mii which was planning to have a baby, the other Mii would have a miscarriage. Thankfully that was false.
If you delete a Mii which is married to another Mii, the other Mii will just act like nothing ever happened. They'll just go back to being a single Mii, completely forgetting they were ever married. It's pretty creepy that you can just erase someone off the island and nobody will remember them.
There's a trick I used to use a lot where you can make all of your islanders adult Miis, and if you wanted two Miis to get into a relationship, you could make those two Miis children. The Miis will eventually end up dating even if they hate each other, since they're the only ones available. Once they get married, they get aged up to adults.
I have th cardboard interior in the game
The cardboard interior is called Humble.
There's also an interior that makes the apartment look like the white room too.
I just want to say, me and my sister played tomodachi life. When we first unlocked the singing ability, we had Link from legend of zelda do a ballad. And we laughed when Misty from pokemon came into the backround. We re-wrote the song to be all about Link's love for Misty, and this was the start to a great story. We had made it our mission to get these two together, especially since the love machine said they would be a very possible pair. One day when I was playing alone Link said he wanted to ask Misty to be his girlfriend, so I obviously let him. Little did I know that the last time my sister played she had allowed Snoopy from Charlie brown to hook up with Misty, and I was shocked when Misty said "I'm sorry" and walked out of the caffe. At this point I had given up hope for our Star crossed lovers, especially since the love machine said there was only an 8 percent chance the two could get together, however it still said that Misty was holding her fellings for Link. We were able to get Misty to break up with Snoopy, but Link's heart was too broken to fix, and I had lost hope, but not my sister. Somehow, my sister was able to get Misty and Link together again and married in the sane day, i have no idea how she did it, I was away for something that day. But i am still so thankful our two gamer Miis got together in the end.

Some of the special food Items are normal food items in the european version.

The “future” dream is the scariest one. Seeing a Mii as a creepy old person is horrifying. I remember seeing my Mii and I nearly pissed myself

The reason why they say to not make your miis look like you is because you could get bullied if you play tomodachi life and if they recognize how you look then you’ll kind of made fun of
The fact that a Mii character caught a criminal is also one of the larger reasons, there could be some guy stealing your 3ds and recognizing you and who knows whats next.

there were a few things you missed: if you import a mii from mii maker but the game doesn’t have enough info about mii maker than the character’s face is just a white square with 🚫 over it and also there is a rare song called ‘Adeline’ and it sounds sad so people have theorized that it plays when a mii dies or if a baby had failed to be born (this isn’t true its actually a japan exclusive song that plays at the compatibility tester when two miis have a low compatibility rating but still)
In my Citra android version the broken mii from mii maker has a small face, with red lips and green feminine eyes.

i've played the korean version since i'm learning korean and i wanted to learn new vocabulary and i didn't really notice much differences between the occidental version and the korean one. Some things i noticed is that, when two miis become friends, in the occidental version they strech hands but in the korean one they just bow to eachother. Also at the karaoke you can't write lyrics, you just choose words to make sentences but you can't actually write freely.
(english isn't my first language btw🥺)

I didn't realize the UK and Japan versions were so/or at least look different. If you were able to get your hands on either copy, would it be something you make a video on to compare them to the US version? Unless theyre not that different and just have a bit of a different look

Depending on where you get it in Europe you have an accent (British accents, french accents , etc)

I used to have tomadachi life, and one day I lost it. I had a nightmare one night about all my characters basically worrying and being in a bad mental state because I never checked on them. This was like, 2 years after I lost it, and only then I realized it was lost.
You should go find that game. I left my ACNL game for a year and everyone were so surprised. They even thought I was dead or a ghost!

Something that confuses me is that the game tells you to not have your look- alike look like you, yet you are always referred to as their look alike rather than your own name. The only reason I see is because of streetpass and someone who did that with you would see you or something. Also, they can see you whenever you go into you go into their apartments, but how come they can’t see when you’re doing things like listening into their conversations at the cafe? Is it a selective type thing?
Fun fact: Miitopia was actually born because of Tomodachi Quest!
I’ve been binging creepy and kinda bummer Icebergs recently, but this one was such a sweet and fun change of pace, I’ve always been intrigued by Tomodachi Life and I’m very glad you made an iceberg for this game!

Also in the empty apartments the room is completely white, therefore even the windows aren’t there, just the door. So if the apartment theory is true, the Mii’s have no windows and there apartments are completely white without the optical illusion!

Another thing to add to the iceberg is that music can be rewinded. If you listen to the entire thing, the music will stop and your mii will get sad. So you need to rewind it in order for the music to continue. I learned this recently because I usually just exit the music box after like 10 seconds.
I was playing Tomodachi life whilst watching this, and one of my miis took a picture with the disposable camera. It was a cute picture of autumn leaves and trees.

I had a headcanon that the dude suffered a face deformity, and he would be picked on if he was seen w/out the mask. Now that I look back on it, it's really ironic. Most of my people were cyclops for darn sake! Now they're all just hamsters.

There’s actually a line a Mii will occasionally say that proves they aren’t human. If you’re just in their room and they get the thought bubble with three dots they sometimes ask “how big do you think us Miis are in your world?”
@RoobzToonz Also if you give your Mii’s a fan the game let’s you control the speed of the fan while your Mii talks through it and one of the things your Mii’s can say is “You cannot defeat us Earthings, we are the Mii’s!”
Plot twist: They are actually gods in the end🤣
the special demo is called tomodachi life: move-in edition (tomodachi life: welcome edition in europe). the special bonus item you could get was a rare panda suit which could be transferred to the full game. the demo seems to have only been available as a download code from preordered or early-release packaged copies of tomodachi life. there was also a slightly different version of the demo that was available on the eshop for seemingly a very short period of time which unlike the move-in/welcome edition, the eshop version didn’t have any bonus items.

Afaik there is one and only one special food you can get without StreetPass, and that is the birthday cake, which you get when you play the game on your (or rather, your look-alike's) birthday.
When you play on your birthday, you get a call from your look-alike and then you're brought into a room where several of your island's Miis sing Happy Birthday to you while you look at them from a first-person view. They'll even make statements about the age you are like "I can't believe you're ____ already!" or "How does it feel to be ___?" It's really sweet imo, even though I only experienced it once.
Also on the topic of birthdays, Mii News will report when a Mii has a birthday, which will cut to their birthday party where other Miis will sing to them and shoot party poppers. The birthday Mii will blow out the candles but you can actually blow out the candles yourself using the microphone, which warrants a surprised look from everyone.
The Japanese version is really interesting

A lot is currently being documented from all versions of the game in terms of items, models, textures, audios, texts and much more, so that there will eventually be mods for the game that go beyond mere text or texture replacement. The project is called "Tomodachi Enterprise" and it's interesting to learn how the game functions
Ok but Nintendo is doing pretty good for being inclusive. Like in animal crossing horizons and splatoon 3 where gender isn't really that prominent.
To the aging dream, I've actually noticed something in my own game and that is that, if your Mii already has folds in the face, they'll be gone in the dream. Almost as if they got younger or died after 50 years.

It would be cool if they added a feature in the future where you can see your miis walking around on the island perhaps going to their destination
I feel like they should add hallways to the apartments (at least in my version ) and when you call your Miis to their apartment you can see them running towards it
Oh my goodness! I had almost forgotten about that bird! My mom called it the Ball Bird because she'd hear it when I was playing and it sounded like it was saying, "Ball!" over and over, which also worried her because miis have very round heads.

I think the mask that the shopkeeper wears in the Japanese version is called a stagehand mask which are masks typically worn by the stage crew in Japanese theatre (I’ve forgotten the proper Japanese name for the mask but I think that’s what it roughly translates to)

Some differences I've noticed about the Korean version are the obvious Korean cultural hats and clothing as well as Miis saying " 잘 먹겠습니다!" (I will eat well) before eating anything you give them. Also fun fact: the words on Mr. Tomo's helmet say "대리" (proxy) and "뭐든지" (anything)

I used to play lots of tomodachi life, i was able to go to space and get the gold room and still have that original game today

Bro once I deleted my first, and I had a lot of progress on it. I still don’t know why I decided to do it, but I remember by the end of the deletion process, after my mii begged to not be deleted, I was in literal real life tears by the time it was done.
I accidentally deleted my first world and I cried so to this day every time I play I double save it’s been almost six years and I will never not do this-
