However Tom has a wider appeal globally and is a bigger, more succesful star in terms of box office as well and Tom has a greater range as an actor. Tom has done a bunch of movies which shows his acting prowess as well

@@rajdeepghosh5942 lmao srk is unworthy to lick tom's boots. Hakla has done only one good film in his entire life, Swades. Most of his films are the epitome of overacting and melodrama. Imagine calling him badshah lol. The fact that he ruled Bollywood in the 2000s only tells how shallow the taste of Indian viewer is. Nowadays Hakla's films don't work because public has gotten the taste of some real actors. Good riddance
100% correct, Tom Cruise is not flying the Super Hornet. He is in the backseat but he still felt all the same G’s and is pretty damn cool in general. Apparently they took them to 7 G’s. That being said Tom Cruise does fly his personal P51 Mustang which is an amazing WW2 aircraft. He is legit as they come, he and Stallone are crazy.
Stallone is definitely one of the last actors I have respect for.
Im a pretty big Tom Cruise fan, and im a little miffed that Steph hasnt seen a lot of these Cruise movies, i mean say what you will, but the guy puts A LOT, A LOT of work. Honestly, respect to that! Make her watch these movies and do reaction videos!!!
oh and regarding the HALO jumps, i was always into like military theory and stuff, I'd read about all that, so came across the term there when i was a boy. Also, in terms of games, that term was associated with HALO: ODST, orbital drop shock troops
Oh and third: regarding the g-force, they probably also wore the pressured suits to prevent blood from pooling in the legs and keeping it in the upper part of the body...etc

That's classic. He's laughing at his broken ankle and he's like, 'and that's the take the end up using as I get up and start limping'. I suppose they didn't want to do it more after that.

Tom Cruise truly loves cinema and gives his everything to the movies he does. I have immense respect for him for that. I will forever watch his movies in theatre only (God forbid even if I become begger/homeless I will somehow manage) as long as he keeps making them 🙃

Tom cruise is in a two seater version of the F18 Hornet, there are fighter planes that have two seats, with the pilot in front and the weapons control officer in the back seat ( they are called wizzos )

We still has to do so much , but real stunts are always looks better mostly because of expressions , and that became a very real reference for adding elements that are not presents in the scene
Cruise does fly a helicopter and a propeller fighter plane in Top Gun 2, but he was not allowed to fly the F-18 fighter jet even though he is a certified pilot.
The one for me is easily the rock climbing in Utah with no net or harness or wires where he had to JUMP from one spot to another 15 feet and grip that hold. It's like watching Honnald climb El Capitan free solo and has one really nasty spot pretty high up where he has to jump and just trust himself. So what got to me through this video is the insane number of hours Cruise puts in to prep his stunts. Because Honnald was able to do that jump easily as he had trained that route many many times using ropes so he had room for error and then just got to trust himself. Cruise MUST HAVE spent hours and hours over days practicing that jump using protective gear to pull that off.
That's the worse one.I can't even watch it from the fear. The hanging on the plane is less terrifying to me than seeing him hanging on that rock.
Cruise had a safety rope on him in the rock climbing jump.
The only thing left to do for Tom Cruise to film himself in space. That's the ultimate stunt that would set him above everyone else.

You are correct… in Maverick, they aren’t piloting, but they are sitting in the jet. Notice how they said six cameras, four facing the actors, two facing the backs of the pilots, who are wearing the same helmets. Not to take away from the insanity and the commitment these actors are doing, but there’s no chance they are flying them.
The positive G-forces experienced such on a helix like Goliath can cause a grey-out like you were describing. Me and my sister greyed-out especially since we were in the back row lol. Not my favorite, I enjoy negative G's much more.
Tom wanted to fly the jets in Top Gun 2 but the military wouldn't allow it. However, the P-51 he flies with Jennifer Connolly, is piloted by Tom and its reported he is a really good pilot.
In the hanging sequence in Rogue Nation Tom Cruise had a near death experience bcoz of a single speck of dust(pebble) it came in so fast & hit his hand or sth and he couldn't avoid it there was a small injury bcoz of the impact imgine if it went into his eyes
I mean the franchise is called as "MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" for a reason lol

Didn't learn about the HALO jump through Metal Gear Solid 3 but from the James Bond film " Tomorrow Never Dies"
I learned of it from "The Rescue" 1988. I think one of the Delta Force films or maybe Navy Seals mentions it too.

I mean, we can sit back all day and proclimate the assortment of entertainment and the reasons for it's greatness. Some say one thing is good because of how violent it is, one may also say how family friendly it is. At the end of the day, all that really matters, is how compelling the story is. The Mandalorian, WandaVision and Loki held their audience well, and it started on a Disney channel.
Deadpool and Daredevil, I'm worried about being on Disney. There's an element to both of those that made them stand out, and it wasn't family friendly. Considering past successes, though, at the very least we can sit back and wait for a trailer before the judgement onslaught begins.

And now Kate Winslet has beaten Tom Cruise for how long an actor has held their breath under water to do a stunt. She had to do it for Avatar 2. She can hold her breath for 7min and 14sec. I am so amazed how dedicated Tom Cruise is to making the stunts look real as possible.

Might have heard the term 'HALO jump' in a movie first, but MGS3 was the first time I heard it explained.
I got up to holding my breath for 2.5 minutes years ago as a life guard. A girl I dated in high school hated that I would practice holding my breath all the time. No matter how many times I tried to explain why I was doing it, she didn’t care.

Henry cavill didn't learn to fly a helicopter...... He learnt how to rida a bike. In the movie he is not flying the helicopter himself, he was just a co- passenger

No, actors legally cannot pilot US Military owned planes, the actors are all just passengers in them. I believe he flies his own plane in the Top Gun sequel, and he flew the helicopter in the other one because they are privately owned vehicles.

Apollo 13 shot on one of those planes as well for all their zero g stuff. Legitimately did it, and it looks so good. There are some shots they faked with seesaw sort of rigs later on, but the bulk of it was real zero g.
Yeah, for Maverick, NONE of them are piloting. The FA-18 is a two seater, so what they would do is put the actors in the back seat and shoot all of them from the front. Then to make it look like the actor pilot was really piloting, they'd put the naval pilot in the same exact costume and actor pilot and shoot them from the back. Then just cutting back and forth makes it look like you have them really doing it all. It's very well done.
