Thanks for the heads up on the extension. I’ve been looking for a good one! I had a few ideas in my head so it was good to check them out properly. One of the ideas is for a simple lined journal but it’s a theme I sell physical products of on my EBay shop and it’s always a popular design. The extension suggests it might be a good idea 🤷♀️

@@TheHomeBoss better still I had about 5 ideas that I’ve been thinking and researching and all seem suspiciously good according to that extension. I’m going to go ahead and try then. One thing I thought was curious was I also typed in what I thought was a fairly broad keyword for a particular type of journal and I got a 60 score and green light...but 6000 competitors! That confuses me, I wouldn’t touch it with that many competitors...but the score says it has merit? Do you have any thoughts on this?

I'm really not an expert on ads. I just try different things, some work, some don't. I follow Tamara Tee for ads and Shashwat Ashiya, they have good advice.

That is the best way. I would only consider making a serious adult colouring book if I drew the images myself.

Thank you for the video. Would you please, tell me what is the best number for BSR and average reviews?
That really depends. The lower the BSR, the harder it will be to compete. The more reviews, the harder it will be to compete. So it really is about using common sense. I still make books in niches that I like, regardless of how high the BSR is, niche research is not an exact science, it's just a guide to help you but it's not exact and it's not set in stone.

Thank you Nuria for your help! I would like to ask you a question: I see you make result research in "all" mode in the search bar and then you check on "books" category. The results are very different with Titans tool, especially in total search results. Which is the method you use to decide a profitable keyword? Looking on "all" or on "books"?
I was going to ask that same question myself. I hope Nuria comes back and gives us what is the best way to go about it.
I think I made a video about that if I remember correctly. Basically, you search in all because that is where your customers are most likely to search, so you want to have the same search results as your customer. This isn't an exact science however, as Amazon also takes everybody's search history into account so it's very likely that everybody will have different search results. However, this research method gives us as much of an understanding of the niche as is possible. There are many other ways to research too, so it's important to remember that you can use whatever works for you.

That's difficult to answer without knowing more details. 3000 results is a lot of competition, so it depends on the type of book, how many books are already selling in that niche, what kind of covers they have, etc. It's not such a simple question.

Hello Nouria I have enjoyed watching your very inspiring videos for about a year now. I started publishing on KDP more than a year ago. Basically inspired by Paul Marles videos. I started by publishing low content books just for practice and I have over 50 books. I tread into the mid-content category for 6 months now and and one heavy-content book that also has coloring pages. On and off I advertised on Amazon for some books. This heavy content book started suddenly selling at the rate of 1 a day for the past 1 month. And I had not published any books for a couple of months. I suddenly notice a dip in the sale of this book...and this happened after I 1. Published couple of new coloring books and 2. After adding A+ content for this book that started selling. Wondering if you have any advice. If this had anything to do with disturbing my Algorithm goddesses ;o). Thanks and congrats again on your amazing advice videos here.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Sales of books can be up and down, I think you're doing the right things and it's just a matter of continuing to publish quality books. Keep adding A+ content, this helps buyers a lot when looking at your books. Best of luck!

It's a separate account for KDP but you can use your normal Amazon login. I use a debit card for kdp ads and it's fine. Good luck on your kdp journey!

9:10 maybe you should change the drop-down menu from All to books? to find books
Most people choose 'all' when searching for items on Amazon. You want to get the same results as your potential customer so that's why we choose 'all'.
@@TheHomeBoss but "all" gives us just the best sellers (high reviews + low BSR) so if our book still new it will never be there, isn't it??
Hello Noria, thanks for the great value :) I've a questions sometimes i do the search in all departments and get 800 results for example but when i do the same research in books it shows almost 8000 results witch is a bit confusing and may be why many of my books don't show up when i search the keyword. Any Advice please?
Yes, that's normal. You search in All because that is where buyers usually search so you want to see the same results that they are seeing.

When I go to incognito mode, I can't find any extensions on that incognito chrome browser. But here, you have self-publishing titans extension is active in incognito mode! How this is possible?

You can go to extension options and enable it in incognito mode
The boom of kids drawings books was in 2020 because back then it was selling as essentials while adult books couldn' t sell for months.But now the nich is just to saturated , only the good designers with new ideas can really make money.
I don't know why,but this (titan) plugin is working too slowly in my browser 😒
Some days it can be slower than others, but it works ok for me usually.

Go to the extension options in normal mode, you will find a button that enables your extension in incognito mode. 🙂

Hello Home Boss,can you explain please, when we are searching niches on Amazon search bar,why results different between All dep.and Books, in first showing less,in Books a lot I can't understand,in which ones should we search for better results,thank you a lot
Like I said in the video, the customer is much more likely to search in 'all', so we want to get the same results as our customer, that's why we do our research in 'all'.

Since few days I have a problem when I try to change address of delivery. If I try to change zip code it doesn't work and It says "Please enter a valid US zip code".
If I log in with my amazon account I have not this problem. Why?
I have seen other people mention this too. Just keep trying, sometimes Amazon has glitches.

Because you do not look in the category of books, in the category of all departments, things that are not books appear and the niche gets out of control, or so I think
Most customers look in 'all' so we want to have the same results as our buyers to be able to evaluate the niche.
I have updated some of my book keywords and they moved my books to "Draft unavailable" status. They are saying, "We discovered territory selections are preventing the following book(s) from being available in any Amazon marketplace"
I can't change my book title, but I have resubmited many times by selecting an individual territory like USA / Uk I have tried many times but they sent me Alart ofr the same issue. What should I do now, Please help me.
Have you tried publishing in 'all' territories? If it continues to happen, I would contact Amazon, they are usually very helpful.
@@TheHomeBoss Firstly I have tried twice by selecting "all", when it didn't work then tried with individual territory. but, the same issue. Then I sent mail to them, they reply me that, they need some time to review everything & they will reply me within 5 days. But almost 1 week has gone.
I know it doesn't take months to create a low content book, but after searching and finding a niche, by the time I finish creating the content or book, won't it be a bit late or outdated?
Depends what you make. If you make a Valentine's Day book in August, then of course you're late. The trick is to make them about 3 months before the event. But even if you're late, once that event comes round again, you have a good book on your bookshelf that could create an income for you, even if it is seasonal. I recommend to make a good mix of seasonal and evergreen content.

How can you do research before writing a story? You basically have nothing at that point.
This is not about written books, it's about low content which are books like planners and notebooks. There is nothing to write other than maybe instruction. However, the research is similar. If you are looking for tips on writing a story, there are some really good author channels on TH-cam. Good luck!
