I've carried the same CRKT knife since 2002. It served two tours to Iraq cutting stuff open, prying stuff open, as a punch, screw driver, and even a hammer at one point (desperate times). I still carry that beat up piece of steel around in my pocket. My wife jokingly calls it my security blanket as I feel naked without it and I refuse to leave home without it on my person. I guess it also serves as a lucky charm of sorts since it has always gotten me out of hairy situations.
Nice! My Carson CRKT M21-14sf is rubbed down to bare metal and is down to a 3.5" blade from 4. I've taken it apart over 100 times but, no pocket time since I've contracted Spydercosis. Waiting impatiently for that Sage 5.
Fenrir I would say that any tool watch knife basically anything that goes to war with someone and comes back with them better than that goes there and back twice then it is by far good enough for everyday average man
A man and his pocket knife are a special kind of bond. If you lose it post a video and I will send you another one. Keep on truckin' and Happy New Year 2017 to you and family.
I lost a emerson cqc 7bts and found it clipped to a dirty pair of cargo shorts in my laundry after getting my new one in the mail. But 2 Emerson's are better than zero. Carry a ZT hinderer designed flipper with Elmax blade.
Consider as an alternative carry option: leave the pocket clip on and clip it inside the waistband with the clip over the pants and under the belt. This protects it from accidentally coming off, but frees up pocket space and still keeps the knife readily available and in the same spot every time. I have carried my Delica at 4 o'clock and slightly canted appendix in this fashion on and off for a while. I don't have a 940 to try it with, but as its EDC philosophy is quite similar, I'd imagine it might translate quite well. Just a suggestion to try.
Joshua Anthony I've bought 3 nice 35' wide blade measuring tapes. Found all 3 spring cleaning garage. Handed her the cheap one I bought after the 3rd nice disappeared. I've had to designate "no go zones" for her daily "clutter" cleanup.
An EDC knife is such a personal thing. I'm glad you were able to get one you loved! The more you love it, the more you'll carry it. Simple as that. Good job Mrs Wranglerstar!
As with any good piece of equipment , if it is gone , everything down the road to replace it is allway's compared to the the original piece ,and it doesn't have to be the best or most expensive to start with , it is the piece you loved ,enjoyed and trusted for years. Thank you and a belated happy fathers day.
+TruckerPhilosophy I longer both of them but my favorite has to be the sage 3. Three bolt action lock is incredibly strong and the blade is the perfect length
I've had a 940 for a long time and it's really true that it feels great. Great handle and blade in both ergonomics and looks. You weren't lying when you talked about the smoothness either. Love my 940 and my benchmade balisongs the most out of all my knives
This video put a big smile on my face. I love my 940 and cannot leave home without it. I am very glad that your wife did that for you, congratulations on getting your 940 back.
I am not personally a knife man, I do not carry a knife but I have been pondering the idea of a pocket knife, for work uses of course. I will take this video as advice from a wise person. personally I do understand not having " that favorite tool" as I work as an automotive technician. if one of my tools is out of place things are just not quite right, or even using somebody elses tools to help them do a repair, it just doesn't feel right. your videos are great and I can see you are truly happy about having your favorite knife back.
+Wranglerstar I just finished cutting the mortise and tenend (I don't think I spelt that correctly) for the legs on the poor man's carpenters bench all I have to do now is drill the holes for the pegs and I made the bench twice the size you made yours so me and my dad could both work on progects on the same bench and do large projects. I have used no power tools I am only 13 and it has only taken me 2 weeks
Well done young man, you are going to have a happy life if you have already discovered wood working. It isn't easy but the more you do it, the easier it becomes. Sharpening tools is the boring bit but it makes wood working more enjoyable. Just a little tip.
I would love to see a video on the first aid kits. I've lost a lot of clip knives my self. I was in a parking lot one day and when I went to get out of my truck the seatbelt pulled the knife out of my pocket and threw it on the ground. If I would've been off road I never would've heard the knife hit the ground. So now I always check the belt and haven't lost a knife since.
Now hold on.... He is not one of mine. He that learns lessons so slow would be stripped of carrying such and important tool. Also as a young child that cries so much, my Father would have packed his full of snow and left him outside through the night. NAs do not name the young as the whites think, but if so and he were to conquer the night in the snow, his name would have been "Boy that cries a lot" or "Blah-Blah-Blah
I would like to thank you for finding me yet another item to spend my money on..... I honestly have never seen or touched one if these knives but I have come to a point in my life where I am getting rid of stuff and trying to only keep the things I am proud to own. I just purchased this knife and have a feeling I won't regret it based on the other things you have enticed me to buy. Great videos Cody looking forward to more.
+Wranglerstar lol I have a few of those as well sir, but yes, please do. My favorite edc flashlight I have so far was a nitecore ez AA. But I am guessing you went surefire..... ;-) I do agree with you on getting away from "computer" flashlights tho. I have had problems with certain computer controlled ones. I have not bought a surefire yet. Yet..... Ha
Hi Cody, living in the UK means it would be illegal for me to carry a locking blade over 3 inches(yes i am 67 and think imperial as opposed to metric) on the street. However my life has been spent as a soldier, paramedic and now a renovator of old houses and part time gamekeeper. My EDC for a long time was the Opinal until I discovered the skyline, without clip.Rob Bixby turned me onto the 940 about 5yrs ago, when I am working that is my EDC ( WITHOUT CLIP), I even had the blade engraved with my code name from way back. My buddies all say, OH I would not pay that for a knife, I ask them how much do they spend on their shotguns and vehicles, a lot more than this old Scotsman does. My old bangers never let me down, be it cars or guns, my 940 makes me happy, enough said Cody. God Bless.
This seems like a good suggestion. You could give it a try, maybe with a hateful lanyard to be sure it doesn't get away, until you are confident in the deep clip carry.
Well, I just bought one from Cody's Amazon Store. Have been carrying a Gerber Applegate Fairburn for years but can never get the edge on it that I want. Also a little large for everyday use but a great defensive knife.
Thank you for the passionate review... and if I may, I want to give you a tip about how to wear the clipper with minimal risk of falling off, or jumping out of your pocket. The clippers are not necessarily made for pockets, but for anything they can be clipped on.. and that could be a secured location on your clothing. If the EDC knife is thin enough and your 940 seems to be, then you can clip the knife on the side of your waist (to allow you to sit, or bend), inside your pants, with the clip out, but beneath your belt, so the belt runs over the clip, securing the clip and the knife. Try it.
Hey Cody, congrats on finally having the knife you've missed for so long! You could make a new pocket clip that has a small tab on the end pointing up, so it catches on your pocket lip. That way it locks and can't be pulled off by brush, you have to lift the clip to remove it from the pocket. I did this to a pen I was always lost and never lost it again till I stopped carrying.
The love you showed this knife and given your experience I just purchased the 940...as soon as I read it was a CPM-30V...thats all I need. I then came back and watched the rest of your video ✌
I don't know if you're a multi-tool kind of person, but if you are you should check out a SOG Powerlock. I carried it for 6 years in the army and never had a single failure. You mention how satisfying your 940 feels to open, the powerlock feels great too. I find myself flipping it open and closed just because it feels so smooth. 6 years of constant daily rugged use and it still looks and feels brand new.
I carry two knives...one for uniform and one for out of uniform. My uniform carry knife is a Kershaw Speedsafe 1830 that I got on a trade. I traded a Brother an old Case pocket knife that had bitten me (badly too...11 stitches!). Its a decent knife for what it is. I can get it to a razor edge, but it the edge just doesn't hold up to a lot of cutting. Not a big deal for me because I enjoy honing a knife. My out of uniform carry is a CRKT with green micarta handle scales. Can't recall the exact model. Its an ok knife, but I feel that the steel is a little soft and can't get the "OMG That's Sharp" edge that I like. It too, requires a little stone n hone time fairly often. My favorite by far is a regular old (carbon steel...not ss) Case folder. Its the only pocket knife for me when I'm hunting or in the woods. Bulky for jeans or uniform pants though, which is why I carry the CRKT and Kershaw on a regular basis. Right tool for the right job is my mantra.
James McMillen I carry a sog flash, good sized knife for cutting anything, and yet still fits well in the pocket of my jeans, and my NWU'S. in civies though, I also carry a fixed blade on my belt. I've got another sog (seal pup), a kabar, and a timberland. anyways, sog flash is on sale right now for $40-60 at my local NEX.
I had a nice Gerber once...not expensive but I really liked it. I was out doing some work on my green field and carrying different things and doing some limbing etc. got everything ready and plowed the field, turned it over really good, disked really well and planted ....from start to finish and when I left I had a perfectly seeded field ready for a good rain .... Well when I got home I emptied my pockets and no knife. I looked everywhere for days and could not find it. After a few weeks of looking it dawned on me...I remembered once when I got off the tractor and released the seatbelt I remembered it catching on my knifes pocket clip. Apparently it opened the clip too much to hold it in place and I never saw it again. I had it so long that it was discontinued and it took me about a year to finally find one to replace it. I keep an eye on the clip and frequently take it off and make sure the clip is tight so as not to loose it. I've had it now going on about 8 years.
I've got to say it's because of you and Rev hiker that I have a 940 in my pocket. I got mine used from a friend sent it in for a brand new blade and I EDC it now everyday it put my long term edc blade the Benchmade Adamas 275 I'm the drawer and now when ever I don't have the 940 I feel kinda naked with out it. I want to someday get a brand new one and wear in the scales on my own but I love how the scales get a worn look. I also enjoy watching your channel!
My SOG Flashback will never leave my side. So quick and it fits my hand perfectly. What 940 is to you is what the flashback is to me. That wonderful feeling when you find your perfect fit.
Hi Cody, I've just returned to Oz from a visit to the States (my first) upon your recommendation I went home with this knife. I couldn't be happier. You're absolutely right the 940 feels and looks every bit as great as you say. Thanks Cody. Now I know what the fiz feels like!
The perfect general pocket knife is the German Mercator knife. Rigid enough, super thin, carbon steel and not expensive. Patent and in continuous manufacture since 1867.
One of the finest knives I've ever owned is an outdoor edge. They make high quality products and every blade has a lifetime warranty on it. As of right now I carry the outdoor edge razor lite edc I've carried this knife for over a year and the edge on this knife is just unbelievable I've never owned a knife that can cut so easily and smoothly. if you do manage to mess up a blade for this knife you can simply grab a new one and slide it in or you can sharpen the blade back down. I had a couple of edge deformities on one of my blades where I used it to strip heavy gauge wire so I took my time and sharpened it back to like new condition.
I totally get it!!!I'm a knife junky....never owned a Bench Made....but I bought a really cool esee at Smokey Mtn. Knife works. Love getting the fizz over a great blade!!! Hope you still have this knife!
I've carried my $19 Buck Bantam for the last 4 years and it works great. I bought it because I wouldn't feel bad if a $19 knife got lost or stolen. I'd feel pretty bad if I lost a nearly $200 pocket knife, but that's just me. . .
you need to spend $9 on s retractable lanyard n you'll never lose that knife again if it's clipped to your pocket and attached to the retractable lanyard on a belt loop ...let's you still use the knife when ever you want but gives you 2 points of contact for in body carry...n you can't leave it on the ground n walk away with out it either! do it n save yourself the headache! ...n heartache! ...n wallet ache!!!
Have you got a link to this retractable lanyard? I'm thinking of the type that I've seen in the UK, just wondering if yours is better for this particular application.
+Steve Clark they are like this one and are by all the binocular accessories. I can't find the link for the Cabela's brand on the site www.cabelas.com/product/garmin-reg-retractable-lanyard/1384304.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dretractable%2Blanyard%26x%3D10%26y%3D6%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%252BProducts&Ntt=retractable+lanyard
I was a field service technician for a major forklift manufacture for 15 years and had many different brands of tools. Most were craftsman because they were affordable. But there is something about the feel of Snap On or Mac tools that makes the job go smoother or something ,My tools didn't look as pretty as the guys in the shop though because of bouncing around in in my service truck caused them to be less shinny as the shop guys box. I'm not sure what it is but you feel it when your working with it. Just like that knife your talking about. I used Kershaw and was quite pleased with it but have to admit that there were ones that had a better "feeling" but my job didn't warrant a $200 or $300 knife
It doesnt matter how much the knife costs. It makes you happy and is something you dont feel complete without. I feel the same way about my Emerson. Some people just dont understand the bond you create when you carry something everyday. Im very happy for you Sir and I hope you have a great time with that knife.
The Hobbit! I Am just Finishing up the Lord of the Rings! I carry the Kershaw blur, great knife and im pretty hard on it. holds up well and hasn't failed me yet.
Mine was sharp, seems odd that Kershaw would allow that. I like the knife a lot. Very sturdy, and i am very rough with it. I would definitely buy it again.
Thanks a lot Cody! Now I have a benchmade! :) I have been humming and hawing over what to get as a blade only EDC and after watching this video earlier in the month and then stopping at the local knife store to look at the SOG Flash 2 and the sales person showed me a mini-grip and after fiddling with it and several other knives, I was sold on the MG. I got it a week ago and am SUPER happy with it. I paid $130 taxes in Canadian so it was not too much of a sting for Benchmade. But seriously, thanks for the video as I can, in only a week, see and feel the knife quality difference of it over anything else that I have handled or owned.
thank you for responding mrs. wranglerstar . that was a generous gift to your husband for father's day . benchmade are one of the best but i'm a senior on a small pension so i purchased a high quality commonman's knife. go sweden i love scandinavia and the programmes. peace, love, and joy .
@billville111 You're entitled to be wrong. I too enjoy Wranglerstar's stories and opinions... typically, however this was just rambling twaddle. Don't name your video "I've Found The Perfect Knife" and then take 6 minutes to even show it and not know about the properties of the metal it's made from. If the video was called "Reunited With My Favorite Knife!" then I'd have no gripes about the lack of relevant content.
Patience brother...the length of the video is shown at the beginning, if you don't have that much time you don't have to watch. Some of us enjoy hearing the experiences and thoughts of others. But then, I'm not a 3 minute information packed video guy either...I like some rambling and back-story. To each his own! :)
Mine is at benchmade for some work. The omega spring broke on mine. I don't know what to do with myself. You are absolutely right, no other knife compares to the 940. I have owned multiple kershaws, I've been carrying a leek as I wait on my 940, and overall., good knives, but I CONSTANTLY, have issues with the torsion bar for the speedsafe breaking on my kershaw blur, it broke on a Clash, Brawler, and Cryo as well. Kershaw will send you a couple, no charge. But it's extremely annoying after the 3rd or 4th replacement. When I was carrying my Blur everyday, I was replacing the torsion bar every 6 months.
been carrying a Kershaw Asset Serrated Knife 1930ST, it opens and closes easily with one hand and locks securely. But it hasnt held edge that well under heavy use so i'm thinking about getting a 940 like you! love the videos, i watch a lot of your axe reviews and i dont even chop wood lol. Keep up the good work man looking forward to more great content.
i was writing this to you before the end of the video to take the clip off but you did it thank the lord lol. keep it safe man got a Gerber that i don't know what i would do if i lost it. your knife is apart of you like every tool you own.
after watching ALLL of your videos about pocketknives... ALL OF THEM!! I done went and got the 940..... had it for week ... ordered 2 more for my boys .... amazing knife
You are absolutely correct about the pocket clips snagging on things and having your knife lifted and lost from your pocket . Love your videos , keep it up .
You are the reason i own a benchmade 940 its heavenly i know from using it at work for the past few weeks its great and its in my pocket every day. Perfect edc material
I have a CRKT small M16 and a CRKT moxie, I abuse both and they keep impressing me more each day. I whittled on a hickory sledge hammer handle all day with the Moxie and it's still shaving sharp
I have been driving a School Bus here in Portland for over five years, now. I purchased a Leatherman Skeletool at my previous job. I have now carried it for over nine years and, I have to say, diving public school children around from home to school, I am not supposed to even HAVE a knife on me. However, since I have demonstrated to my boss that it has been very handy to have, I am allowed to carry it on the bus as long as the kids don't see it! So, what I'm asking is, have you had any experience with any of the multi-tools now available?
I love all your videos , as a 23 year old with a little girl now and considering my smaller stature I have found some solace in owning my gramps old " wildlife Canada" pocket knife, I don't go anywhere without it.
I’m crushing on the 940 and it looks so good... I’ve never had the privilege of handling one but if I ever have the opportunity I may pull the trigger UPDATE: bought one, ❤️ it
I have a CRKT which I really enjoy. But I think my favorite is my no. 10 Opinel. Fixed it up to make it easier to open, and man it's my favorite knife so far. Benchmade is nice, but always so much
I agree, I bought 2 of them, so if I loose one.... I love your channel, ... I started long distance shooting because of you..... My wife knows your name well.... Thank you for your videos .
Have you considered having a leather belt holster made for it? It is a good amount more accessible as you can still get to it with gloves on. That is the reason I went for an Mcusta without a clip. Thanks for what you do.
another great video. I too know what you mean. I have had my spyderco techno for many years. it is small,, but mighty and I can't live without it. I have many knives, but the Techno still rules them all.
I guess it also serves as a lucky charm of sorts since it has always gotten me out of hairy situations.
our family always called them cricket knives...we love them too
Okay, I will guess it was the M21-14SF.
Mine was a CRKT Ryan model 7, It never failed me yet so I will continue using it until it breaks, then I'll probably buy another one haha
Nice! My Carson CRKT M21-14sf is rubbed down to bare metal and is down to a 3.5" blade from 4. I've taken it apart over 100 times but, no pocket time since I've contracted Spydercosis. Waiting impatiently for that Sage 5.

I lost mine😁
Don't forget the ladies! I carry the coldsteel ad10 every day and I love it!
Mine got stolen 😕
congrats on finding your old 940 sometime in the next few days. that's the way it goes, right?

This is a truely touching love story.
I remember you lost a 940 then found it in your fire kit ! Prayers to you and yours !

Indeed, the benchmade 940 is possibly the greatest EDC pocketknife of all time.
Also you could take off the pocket clip and deep carry it in your front pocket to keep it more secure
I would but the Spyderco Para 2 in that category as well
+TruckerPhilosophy I longer both of them but my favorite has to be the sage 3. Three bolt action lock is incredibly strong and the blade is the perfect length

Only on the interwebs can a guy say "Hey I bought this thing!" and people actually get INSULTED that he exercised his own choice using his own money.
I own the 940-1, and I really like it too.
"Hey I bought this thing" moments later "Ill have these available on my amazon store"

I ordered a pair of Nick's boots last weekend, due to his praise of them. I hope I can resist buying a $200 knife now. lol
Yes... What is your new flashlight? I am looking for a new EDC flashlight.
yes we want to see your new flashlight! everyone wants to see Wranglerstar approved gear lol

"what have I got in my pocket?"
+myfoodexperiments no fair!
That hobbit reference though
+Alex Prin lol
I just watched the trilogy again 3 days ago, so I instantly got the reference :D
I've been taking the pocket clips off knives for years.
The 940 is a great blade. But you can improve it. Ask benchmade to send you a deep carry clip. That changes the 940 from awesome to epic. Cheers Mark.
yep, this is good advice. I dont think they even charge you
+CedricAda Gear and Outdoors No I don't think they do. Just shoot them an email.
This seems like a good suggestion. You could give it a try, maybe with a hateful lanyard to be sure it doesn't get away, until you are confident in the deep clip carry.
+Will Cushman I really like the deep carry clip Benchmade makes. It really works very well. I feel a lot more confident with it.
Well, I just bought one from Cody's Amazon Store. Have been carrying a Gerber Applegate Fairburn for years but can never get the edge on it that I want. Also a little large for everyday use but a great defensive knife.
We both have the same knife, the knife that rules them all. One knife to bind them and in the darkness bite them. Great channel. Love it!
Try it.
Told ya.
I'd love to see you do something with USNERDOC!
yes!
Green Ham!
Andre Gross he found it in his fireman pants 😂😂😂💀
The love you showed this knife and given your experience I just purchased the 940...as soon as I read it was a CPM-30V...thats all I need. I then came back and watched the rest of your video ✌
I don't know if you're a multi-tool kind of person, but if you are you should check out a SOG Powerlock. I carried it for 6 years in the army and never had a single failure. You mention how satisfying your 940 feels to open, the powerlock feels great too. I find myself flipping it open and closed just because it feels so smooth. 6 years of constant daily rugged use and it still looks and feels brand new.
He said we will end up eating our words. OK then "I will never be rich" 😂
The perfect knife is the one you have in your pocket when you need it.
Thomas Jefferson stupid, cringey, corny, and awful. four words to describe your annoying comment.
.
-Thomas Jefferson
I also enjoy watching your channel!
what's in your pocket? I thought you were just happy to see me.
he shows the knife at 5:47
WARREN ELLIS thank you!!!!! I tried watching his videos but I had to quit he rabbit trails so much I can't stand it anymore.
Thank god for that. Was about to turn it off. Waaay too much drivel, for me.
But...we all knew exactly the subject of this video within about 15 seconds. Pretty obvious.
5:47 for the knife.
Thank god for that. Was about to turn it off. Waaay too much drivel, for me.
940s are awesome
why do u remind me of the original Jurassic park with that shadow/glasses/haircut :')
hahaha...Jeff Goldblum.
He reminds me of Keanu Reeves
LOL, I cant unsee it now..
I hope I never lose my beloved benchmade EDC. Mines a 930, similar blades. a Osborne design as well. New to your channel, but enjoy your stuff.
You are a very interesting fella. enjoying the vids
"What's in my pocket?"
That's the riddle from The Hobbit. Bilbo asked Golem.
Dear Santa...
i love this guy because anything this simple can make him happy and it reminds me of myself
I totally get it!!!I'm a knife junky....never owned a Bench Made....but I bought a really cool esee at Smokey Mtn. Knife works. Love getting the fizz over a great blade!!! Hope you still have this knife!
I love my Kershaw blur.
And my Kershaw sacllion
probably one of the best Chinese hand made knives . I loved mine but broke and I never went back
+I carry my Revolver In single action True
Ok Bilbo.... ;)
yup, bilbo, the perfect riddle?
I've carried my $19 Buck Bantam for the last 4 years and it works great. I bought it because I wouldn't feel bad if a $19 knife got lost or stolen. I'd feel pretty bad if I lost a nearly $200 pocket knife, but that's just me. . .
SmokyMountainOutdoorsman I feel the same way! I carry a cheap little snap-on that was around 20 as well
Pierced From Within Snap on as in the tool makers? Is it also guaranteed for life like their spanners etc?
I have carried my buck bantams for over 30 years and I just bought a few more
I've carried the same knife for 3 years. Nothing has been able to take its place. I love it
Nothing compares to an Osborn 940 . Nothing. It just was a home run. It feels so nice and holds a wicked edge.
Nice Hobbit reference
you need to spend $9 on s retractable lanyard n you'll never lose that knife again if it's clipped to your pocket and attached to the retractable lanyard on a belt loop ...let's you still use the knife when ever you want but gives you 2 points of contact for in body carry...n you can't leave it on the ground n walk away with out it either! do it n save yourself the headache! ...n heartache! ...n wallet ache!!!
Cabela's sells them...get one that'll retain 8- 12 lbs of weight
Many thanks for posting a link.
wallet-ache😂
I have a buck 110 and it is great
Erik Brown you like heavy things huh 🤔
It took me a minute to figure out what it was from😀
Did you evee try a mithrill forged blade?
I own a Kershaw Blur as well, but I was dissapointed as it was advertised on their website as coming sharpened, but came 100% dull.
Mine was sharp, seems odd that Kershaw would allow that. I like the knife a lot. Very sturdy, and i am very rough with it. I would definitely buy it again.
I havent found "the one" yet😂 I have like 60 knives😂😂
tried a paramilitary 2?
Bestof theMidwest you never will find the one keep buying
TheSCORPION BJJ take it from someone who has found” the one” you will still be buying after you find it😁
Tom brown tracker
A man who gets sexually excited by a knife !
keith old bean oh this made my day
Lol you got me hooked on the 940 and I love it
Thanks a lot Cody! Now I have a benchmade! :)
I have been humming and hawing over what to get as a blade only EDC and after watching this video earlier in the month and then stopping at the local knife store to look at the SOG Flash 2 and the sales person showed me a mini-grip and after fiddling with it and several other knives, I was sold on the MG.
I got it a week ago and am SUPER happy with it. I paid $130 taxes in Canadian so it was not too much of a sting for Benchmade.
But seriously, thanks for the video as I can, in only a week, see and feel the knife quality difference of it over anything else that I have handled or owned.
i would of purchased a mora # 1
heja sverige! mrsw
thank you for responding mrs. wranglerstar . that was a generous gift to your husband for father's day . benchmade are one of the best but i'm a senior on a small pension so i purchased a high quality commonman's knife. go sweden i love scandinavia and the programmes. peace, love, and joy .
Thank you. He uses it many times a day so was glad to be able to replace it. mrsw
thank you mrs.wranglerstar
Would have*
It's a hobbit reference!
@wranglestar, friend, that was a 2 minute video at best. Please.
Andrew Woolley agreed, I switched to watch samurai carpenter. he is a super dude, and a great example father check him out.
Patience brother...the length of the video is shown at the beginning, if you don't have that much time you don't have to watch. Some of us enjoy hearing the experiences and thoughts of others. But then, I'm not a 3 minute information packed video guy either...I like some rambling and back-story. To each his own! :)
if only there was a way to know the length of a video beforehand
Put it on the lanyard put the goddamned lanyard.940 knife on a lanyard
Lanyard are a safety hazard
i was writing this to you before the end of the video to take the clip off but you did it thank the lord lol. keep it safe man got a Gerber that i don't know what i would do if i lost it. your knife is apart of you like every tool you own.
after watching ALLL of your videos about pocketknives... ALL OF THEM!! I done went and got the 940..... had it for week ... ordered 2 more for my boys .... amazing knife
When you find a tool that works well with you, every day, it's hard to do without.
Still carry my Emerson from 2000. Knives are so personal it is amazing. Glad you got your knife back, sort of.
I love all your videos , as a 23 year old with a little girl now and considering my smaller stature I have found some solace in owning my gramps old " wildlife Canada" pocket knife, I don't go anywhere without it.
I understand the feeling. I've been using the same model of folder since middle school. You find your old reliable, and nothing else makes the mark.
Ganzos have nice knock offs of the same knife. I've had one for a year and it's edge has kept up quite well with moderate work.
I’m crushing on the 940 and it looks so good... I’ve never had the privilege of handling one but if I ever have the opportunity I may pull the trigger
UPDATE: bought one, ❤️ it
I have a CRKT which I really enjoy.
Buy a Victronox belt clip with two chains no loss 25 bucks hides them behind and under the wallet !
Though I'm soooo late to the party, I had to say, your knife issue is EXTREMELY important and understandable Brother.
I just bought the griptilian with the g10 scales and the blue inside absolutely love it.
Enjoy that gorgeous 940
Have you considered having a leather belt holster made for it? It is a good amount more accessible as you can still get to it with gloves on. That is the reason I went for an Mcusta without a clip. Thanks for what you do.
another great video. I too know what you mean. I have had my spyderco techno for many years. it is small,, but mighty and I can't live without it. I have many knives, but the Techno still rules them all.
