- The title is a lie. Aurelion Sol in Arena is busted af, you just have to get through the early phase somewhat consistently. I didn't even use a prismatic item. And I really suck on that champion. Just try it out yourself, it's impossible to miss ult or your e, and your q proc will literally delete a quarter of everyone's healthbar. It's insane.

Asol enjoyer here. Asol is relatively weak due to his poor interactions with most of the augments/items that mages want to exploit paired with his comparatively slow damage output and poor inbuilt survivability, but he scales very well if he does manage to make it to later rounds.
Ideal augments are %damage increases. Where regular items give 6-12% per slot and have suboptimal stats for asol, arena augments give 25-50%. This makes Q reach critical mass faster and locks out later rounds entirely.
Ideal prismatic items are defensive ones (Starry Night, Molten Stone, Hemomancer's, maybe Sanguine Gift) because his kit already carries damage well enough and the defensive prismatics are significant for their slot. One can go an offensive option like Detonation Orb or Talisman of Ascension, but this leaves one open to getting popped faster than it takes for ult to land or Q to finish. I personally sell the prismatic and purchase a decent legendary if I'm not given one of these options.
There are a lot of possible item combinations that Asol can grab, but generally consider the following: Rod of Ages or Archangel's Staff for early survivability, Perplexity and/or Bloodletter's Curse for MR shred, Riftmaker for sustain, Liandry's or Rabadon's for damage. Always be ready to switch out boots or starter item for a tech response to enemies, such as another tank item or antiheal.
I actually started playing him more often in Arena, tried full ap and full tank, didnt really think about an in-between. Thanks for pointing that stuff out. I feel like most of the mage prismatics just arent really suited for Asol, so I usually just end up selling them for an early core item. The amount of value he gets in later rounds just from his stacks is absolutely crazy, i hope that i roll the stack-enhancing augment one day, to reach like 40%-50% execute just for the fun of it.

Some of those tracks definitely go way to hard, regarding the fact that nearly no one ever gets to hear them. I can only suggest listening to some of Riots playlists on shuffle, you really find some treaures!!
@lordon93y I swear I opened the client once and checked some mails before going into the queue. Halfway through my mails, I wondered where the banger music came from. Can you imagine my suprise when it wasn't spotify playing Tshaikovsky but the winter blessed soundtrack? Shit fcking slaps

Why didnt Kayle sidestep the ult???

It is possible that Kayle did not sidestep the ult because she may have been caught off guard or was unable to react quickly enough. It could also be due to a lack of awareness of the incoming ult or a miscalculation of the timing and trajectory. Ultimately, without more information, it is difficult to determine the exact reason why Kayle did not sidestep the ult.
