Congratulations! That was insane, not only because its 30 under par, its insane because you made it look like 32 under par is possible. I cant imagine what goes on in your brain knowing that if you ever stop practicing like most of us did long ago that you would lose that knowledge, or at least some, especially when you make the change over to switch golf.
Thanks Joey! When I stop practicing I will certainly forget some lineups for particular conditions, but I will always remember my generel strats. That means which club I use and how to approach the hole. So after a break it takes some time, but I would be able to reach my level again if I play daily.

You'd be surprised. It's actually not as difficult as it looks. I mean, yes, it's still a tough shot, but back when I used to make runs (my best was only -23 lol) I hit this shot a good 25-30% of the time. If I were better at the game, I could see it being pretty darn consistent.
@@sawmill035Im still waiting for you to improve your pb :) About the flag shot: I agree, hitting the flag is really not as hard as it looks. But the difficult part was to remember and hitting the correct power at different distances for every pin. The aim adjustments are more easy to learn with slow winds. High winds were tricky though. On high winds I needed to hit the flag as close as possible to the pin, otherwise the ball would often miss the hole even when hitting the flag. Especially when the wind blew east. I also tried to hit the flag as low as possible, so the ball is less affected by the wind when it dropped. But in this round with 0 wind and a good flag position it was actually quite easy and I knew exactly what to do.

The wind speed of 10 m/s is the maximum wind speed on 18 Holes. In the US version of the game its 20 miles per hour. Its actually the same (in game 1 m/s equals 2 mph)
We call these shots flag chips, there are not as hard as they look, but they are very risky, because a miss is leads to a out of bounds most of the time. During score runs I only tried them on hole 3, 5, 9 and 16 regularly. On hole 5 it is a common strat, and with a lot of practice I got my consistency going. Under the conditions I had in this run it was easy to aim, but I was a littler further away from the flag as I intended. Luckily I still got the power right.
@@Iloveoursavior I stopped playing back in 2022, but I might return some day :) I think -31 is possible for the simple reason that I got way better on the Classic holes after this run. So if I am able to get a -16 on Resort (which I did 2 times) and a good Classic than I think I could be able to do it, BUT nowadays I do not have the time for such a long grind...

Hey man, is there any pattern in the winds? Like do the exact same winds repeat over and over again eventually? I was just wondering if there’s a strategy you use where if you see 10 mph winds in your face on hole 1, you know that that sets you up for good winds on the par 5’s and etc.

@@abthrash15 I am still not getting high -20's every round. Its necessary to learn and play risky strats in order to get these scores. And that means I am restarting a lot. On hole 1 I restart until I get south wind and then I restart if I miss the eagle. After hole 3 I restart if my score isnt -5 or better. After hole 5 I restart if my score isnt -8 or better. After hole 9 I restart if my score wasnt -14 or better. That resulted in getting : -30 only one time, -29 only one time, -28 I am not sure, but I think at least 5 times -27 multiple times, so I didnt count. If I was only allowed to restart for eagle on hole 1 I think I would get about -24 and better most of my rounds.
Hi, in my opinion it is not when you try to get scores of -25 or better. My strats and playstyle slowly shifted away from backspin shots, because it feels harder to chip in with backspin. I think backspin is often times the safer approach to get close to the pin, but because you barely role on the green it is way more precise to hit the hole. Another downsite of backspin is that the shots are hard to replicate, it does not feel consistent. Even on holes where backspin seems necessary (like hole 14) I am searching strats to avoid it or only use a little backspin. On many holes I am trying to bounce over the bunker (like hole 11, 13, 14, depending on the conditions) for this reason.
the fact that I can watch this and be like "i would have gone a notch to the left on that putt" and even with this guy's score I was correct, makes me think ......I"ll still never get this score. My at home record is -23 and that's up there with my two children being born.
Thank you, on hole 5 you usually needs to get lucky with the wind, but I trained these flag chips to get a chance for an eagle regardless of the wind. Theoretical perfect game would be -43 :)
In theory -43 is the perfect game. With Alby on the par 5s (6x -3) + Eagle on the Par 4s and Par 3s (12x -2). That equals -42, but on Hole 16, a Par 4, a Hole in One is possible, so its -43.
Congrats! I am not even close to your level on the wii, got no better than a -19 round. Do these curve shots to counter the wind work in switch sports as well? Can you give some advice? I'm having a hard time getting max power shots on the switch aswell, on the wii it felt super easy not to overshoot...
Thank you! The curve shots unfortunately do not work like on Resort. If you curve on NSS, the ball loses the height and gets way less distance. About the full power shot: In the beginner it felt like I had to swing a lot harder and after the first day I even felt my muscles. After a few days of playing it got better though and it is as easy as in Resort for me now.
