      I'd question the long-term legality of these cards in terms of IP (intellectual property); I doubt AISURIX are authorized partners of Nvidia and AMD; you never know if Nvidia or AMD may sue them and/or put a stop to this. The fact that AISURIX has a physical location in a western market (Australia according to their website), makes it more easier/likely Nvidia and AMD to clamp down on them in a legal context versus other companies that are strictly located in China.
      It's highly likely the GPUs were salvaged off of old/malfunctioning/dead cards and re-manufactured with a new PCB, fans, etc. A similar practice to this which is relatively common in Shenzhen would be those companies who've salvaged old enterprise/server/workstation chipsets and soldered those on to new PCBs and re-marketed them as new Intel X79, X99 motherboards.
      I'd suggest you contact Nvidia and AMD just to confirm on how legit this is.

      I've contemplated buying one and building a living room Steam console PC using HoloISO (the OS the Steam Deck uses but customized to run on a desktop, it's not compatible with Nvidia GPU's).

    It's technically an RX 570 that was originally sold as an RX 580 in China as a GPU. Putting these old chips on new PCBs isn't a bad idea as AMD and Nvidia aren't really paying attention to the budget market anymore.

    I've been running MingZhou GTX1660 Super 6gb for about 6 months in my rig. (it was around 110$ usd on aliexpress, and used cards were about 200$ in my country)
    It is an Aliexpress card (probbably a used mining gpu chip, but on a brand new PCB board).

    There are lots of these rx 580s popping up on my local amazon as well. But with different brands and some are completely unbranded. The GPU-z screenshot they show has the same specs as an RX 570. Personally for 100-150$, I prefer used 1660 supers/Tis from known brands. But if you strictly want a "new" card. Then this maybe the product for you.

    • @loowick4074

      It's not "new" in a sense.
      The pcb may be new. But the GPU itself is not. And sometimes they have dodgy bios.
      If you have a healthy used market then it is no issue.
      But for many places where the used market is like asking a nuclear bombed hell hole this might do it.
      Dunno how long they will last thought especially with poor aftersale services, 1 year? 2 year? 3 years?

    Got one of these in november from aliexpress for like 85US$, it was a real fever here in Brazil, a lot of channels did videos on these RX 580 2048sp cards, until now it has worked like a charm, never had any problem with it, and I hope it stays like that. They're literally just an RX 570, but coming from a gt1030, they're perfect for me (even more that I'm still using a Haswell i5 lol), never thought I could have this performance for the price I paid, I play all games on high using 900p because of my monitor, and I even play some games in 1440p/4K when I hook it up to the TV (4K is only playable with FSR), all modern games run perfect for me, from RE4R to Cyberpunk, the only one that didn't run was Forspoken (but that game is trash anyway).

I built a new computer with a B550 Vision mother board, 64 gigs of creator menmory, new case power supply, SSD etc. I tried a 380 Intel card, but would not enable HDR on my TV, used as a monitor. I have been waiting to get a newer card, but these prices are insane. I'm not a gamer, but love to do video encoding, and my music files, some of which are DSD albums I bought years ago. I'm old 62, always built my own computers. I once fished a computer out of a dumpster that smelled like fire, it was 2001-ish. The PSU has caught fire and killed off most of the components, but the mainboard, CPU (fresh, Athlon 750) mainboard (MSI, fairly nice) and RAM were alright. HDD, ODD and videocard were toast. Didn't care for the videocard, it was just a Rage, which is a perfect name, this is the emotion you experience when dealing with its driver quality. Anyway absolutely loved the thing after i rebuilt it, carried me a while. Kept the case as well, a Codegen bigtower i think, just washed it a bit. I had an FSP PSU in it, a Maxtor DM80 80GB, a random ODD or two, and an ELSA TNT2 at first and then an ELSA Geforce2mx. Driving a nice 20" Mitsubishi CRT.
      I've done video capture and editing on that PC, edited in Ulead Pro, with 3ivx intermediate, so smooth. With a random bt848 for capture. Printed the results to VHS.

    You can still buy the VSA-100 chip NEW!
    That chip is the processor for the VooDoo 4500 (year 2000),
    You can still buy it new and make new cards!

    My RX 480 8gb playes Hitman 3 at 2k + Quality FSR settings at 60fps and 4k + performance FSR settings at 30-45 fps! The RX 580 is just the 480 with a slight clock boost.

    Aisurix cards re-use old GPU and memory on their new PCBs. These GPUs are old cut down cards. THE Rx 580 they sell are cut down 580s, same for the other models. These were released for the China market only as mining cards. This was discovered by a few Malaysian and Thai channels on YT when they did their tear downs.

    I've ordered these cards before and i've had two fail, and one I was sent was dirty with some sort of oil around the power plug for the fans. I do not believe they are new PCB's just cleaned and made to look new.

    Please can you do a follow up quick video where you test how well the VRAM will OC? If these chips have been mined on then it's usually the RAM that takes a beating. I'd be interested to know if that has been refreshed or if it's the same VRAM that - if it's a 580 - has potentially been through both of the mining GPU droughts.

      I unfortunately can't do a video, but I did overclock the VRAM on the RX 580 using AMD's Adrenaline software. Here are my settings :D
      1350 Mhz Core @ 1100 mV | 2250 MHz VRAM @ 850 mV | +50% Power Limit

      @@OzTalksHW appreciate you taking the time to reply. Those OCs don't sound too bad so hopefully these cards will last new users a while. Polaris just refuses to die.

    I bought one Aisurix RX 580 2048sp for $87 USD equivalent here in Philippines. Best deal price to performance. 1080p gaming Med-High setting. This is perfectly fine for me because I only play:
    Nier Automata - lock at 60fps 1080p high
    Nier Replicant - lock at 60fps 1080p high
    Dota 2 - average 180fps 1080p best looking
    I don't play AAA games.
    Nothing beats the Nier Automata narratives and soundtrack.
    It's a masterpiece!

    Great video I watch a lot of tech channels and I haven't seen anyone cover these. I think it's very interesting. I also feel that if this company continues to make out of print cards with higher vram on them at a decent price it will be interesting to see how a heavy vram game will react to them. I picked up Dec a 6750xt 12gig model two fan card for 450 which still is better then the 4070 which is wild to me. Love your vibe new subscribe here.

      I've come to realize that many of those tech channels are mere shills for the big companies that sell overpriced hardware. They're never going to talk about stuff like this.

    it's a similar concept behind using older x79 or x99 xeons on fresh new Chinese made x79 or x99 motherboards. I have a e5-2650 v2 used xeon on a Kllisre x79 v2.82 mobo for a Linux Mint rig as my daily driver, not for gaming. I built this back in Oct of 2021. Runs great, and it's speedy enough for my needs. I don't have issue of companies filling that gap in the GPU market that AMD and Nvidia are disregarding. I'm looking in the near future to change up my evga gtx 960 4gb card to something with 8GB down the road. I might be looking at this concept GPUs of used GPU chip on new PCB.

    580th like here!
    The RX580 is a fine card. Maybe not the best in the game anymore these days but it has solid performance, works for VR and does fantastically well with Linux too.
    I would definitely recommend it for budget builds.

    • @MegaManNeo
      @MegaManNeo ปีที่แล้ว

      @El Cactuar Still good enough.
      I remember when it was current on the AMD side, people were saying the difference would be minimal between 570, 580 and 590.
      Both function the same too, so I would still recommend it on a budget.

  • @PinePizza
    @PinePizza ปีที่แล้ว

    I dig budget setups, even if I'm not using them myself. Today it's not a question of if something will run, it's about how it will run so even older GPUs are usually fine. The only exception are some AAA games with terrible optimization and those are rarely relevant to justify any upgrade.
    I noticed this trend or hardware companies acting as if 4k is the new hot stuff, but so many people play at 1080p and it's totally fine while maybe 1440p is the sweet spot if you have more budget.
    For 60Hz gaming so many GPUs are more than enough and with AM5 getting more and more things out AM4 will only get more affordable.

  • @denvera1g1
    @denvera1g1 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just an FYI, based on how much cheaper the 4070TI is than the 4090(half the card in all respects) we would normally call this an XX60 or 60TI, and the price would be between 1/3rd and 1/4th, or at most $539 or as low as $400, not $800
    Now the 3060 is far outside of the norm at $330, when the 3090 was $1500, wile the successor to the 12GB 3060 swung in the opposite direction, with an MSRP 2.4x that of the 3060, despite the 3060 being priced at the peak of parts inflation, and the 4070TI being priced during the parts price crash

    • @denvera1g1
      @denvera1g1 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mention this because they've already announced the successor to the 3050, and they're calling it the 4060TI, probably with a price point of $399, so i doubt that unless they bring back the XX30 class, and call it a 4050TI with a sub 100mm die, 64 bit bus and 4GB of RAM, that i doubt we're going to have a card under $299, and even if we do, you probably should just get integrated graphics.

    G'day Oz,
    nice to see a few regular videos lately, hope you are doing well adulting.
    As long as they are listed correctly I think these Recycled GPU dies & Motherboard chipsets parts are a good compromise for those on a tight budget but are scared of buying used from Ebay or Local Trade Sites, but yeah they also have to be willing to look after those trying to communicate with them about their products not ghosting them.

    thanks for this video i actually was trying to do a bunch of research for something for a small upgrade but also a working card as i have a rx 580 from my brothers co worker but it crashes every now and then and its weird cuz its not during anything specific maybe during after hours of gaming or even after minutes of turning on so im at a loss and wanted to buy a gpu around under 200. was giving the 1660 super a look and might go with that, after i might go to a 3060 ti. i was also wondering if you think you can maybe do videos about when cpus start to bottle neck the gpu? that would be nice i dont see alot of videos basically saying " this is the max and best gpu you should get for "x" cpu other then that itll be bottlenecked"
